Another diamond shines on to the Great Gig in the Sky...

Pink Floyd influenced me more than any band, ever.

And Wright had some really great solo work too.

Rest In Peace Richard

I`m an old man, and the first thing I purchased with my first real paycheck was "The Dark Side of the Moon".

I saw Pink Floyd minus Roger Waters in concert; one of the best shows I`ve ever seen.

ElDavo, Syd Barrett was on Lead Guitar and Vocals, he didn`t play the Drums in Pink Floyd at all. No one replaced him at all, he got kicked out. The only person who could of possibly been tied in with replacing him is David Gilmour, but he joined when Barrett was still in the band.

Wasn`t he also a producer for the Beatles? I know he has some sort of ties to them.

I saw the 2006 show in New York, it was really great and Rick Wright even sounded good on some vocals. He will be missed

I can`t help but feel that Syd Barrett played drums until he left and they replaced him with Nick Mason. Also that David Gilmore was a founding member, but what do I know? I wasn`t alive back then.

I am ridiculously saddened by this. :( Pink Floyd is a fantastic band.

I suddenly have the urge to listen to Dark Side of the Moon while watching The Wizard of Oz.

Loved The Piper at the Gates of Dawn -- not much else after that. Wright was a great guy though. Very smart. RIP.
