that was funny, in a recent interview carrel was asked that the US office had been going longer, does that make you officially funnieer than gervais, and he said `I`m not even a quarter as funny as ricky`

The office was remade because of the British humor. Therefore you should find Carell funnier if you`re American and Gervais if you`re British. I`m just annoyed that you got more seasons than us!!!

You know, Ricky Gervais is a lot funnoier in real life (ie interviews, award shows) then he is when he`s TRYING to be funny. His stand-up is god awful and his tv shows are atrocious, in my opinion.

Whenever I see Ricky Gervais, I automatically think of a gay squirrel.

I have no idea why.

I Love Ricky Gervais. Personally, I found the British version of The Office much funnier than the American version but I think it`s because I saw that one first. This clip was great of both Gervais and Carell. Carell`s face just got to me.

Do you think Ricky Gervais and Steve Carell could come up with a show to fill S&L time slot? Perhaps something cross Lampoon meets Dick Cavett?

Haha. I thought he was actually calling him out for awhile there but after Steve Carell gives him the Emmy I was happy to see it was scripted and he wasn`t just being a dick.

:D Steve is such a STAR! Those two are just how i think comedy actors should be - their on-screen persona should reflect and be reflected by their off-screen characteristics.

Gervais, in interviews, is a smug self-centred bastard, just like we love him to be when he`s in his roles on TV and in film.. And it`s all intentional, and that`s why he`s so popular.

Same for Carel. :D If he can act like that in films (he can..) he`ll always be a hit.

That was hilarious!
But I felt sorry for Steve Carell though, he looked really sad.
I can`t tell if it`s acting or not.

Heh, I`ve always been a fan of the office.
I haven`t even checked out the one from Europe. Who knows, it might be better. *shrug* Oh well.
And I actually laughed at the act. I never laugh at award shows. But i liked this one.
*nod*
MYCHEMGIRL is satisfied.
But, I will always be a fan of Steve Carrel, thanks to Anchorman.

I love how Carell was completely stone-faced. Meanwhile, Stewart and Colbert were laughing their asses off.

Steve Carell got owned but it`s nice to know he was part of the act... he did a good job! I thought he was genuinely insulted at first.
