I`m in S.E. Texas, we finally got power back Friday, but suffered just minimal damage. Lots of folks in our town lost much more. One family lost thier home and belongings due to fire from a downed power line. I am blessed

"Wow, south park is popular. Even kyles brother is gettin places!
(lol, Kyles bro is named IKE)"

The choice of Kyle" and "Ike" for their names was made purely for their resemblance to the word "Kyke". And they`re both Jewish.

Well, may you all go unharmed for the most bit and if there is damage, may it only be some loose shinvgles or somthing that can be fixed easily.

But some unfortuneytly, may feel all of it`s wrath.

Woops sorry not underwater yet..they have a 17 foot sea wall built in the 1930s yet the storm surge is going to be around 20 feet with waves still on top of that ...something like 40% of the population stayed! Did they learn nothing from Katrina?

Hurricanes are fun but had so much damage to my place in Uptown in New Orleans when Katrina came I feel bad for these people.. Although watching the news Galveston is almost completely underwater already and people are still there sight seeing??

There was actually a video of this reporter on the beach and a guy in a bear suit dancing around him!!

How come hurricanes aimed at Texas get posts dedicated to them, but none for Louisiana or Florida? I guess we`re just used to them by now.

JW, what`s the big fuss all about.

I know it`s landing on a major urban area and it doesn`t happen often....but it`s only category 2, so it won`t be "that" bad will it? And by "that" bad I mean " Is Houston or Galveston built below sea level?

I have never been in a hurricane, surprisingly....although I did get blown away by low prices at Wal Mart once.

Everything`s bigger in Texas, so they say.

Hang in there cowboy.

Arizona told you not to hang around Louisiana, they`re nothing but trouble.

Texas finally has a use for all those Y2K bunkers!!!
