The problem is MOST of the political posts approved for posting here are right-winged posts. The posts that make it to the front page are not politically balanced, and both sides are not equally represented.

what an ungrateful bitch. I love how she wants to tell us all about her family and what a great mom again, and especially about her son who is going off to Iraq, we can talk about that, but not about her pregnant underage daughter. Just shows you how stupid abstinence only education is. And even though I have a degree in Political Science, I totally agree that there shouldnt be any political posts on here.

Get your politics out of my bordom. It`s making it worse.

I am so sick of all this crap, and it`s only just beginning. This year`s election is only a gimmic fight. Who has the better gimmic? The old white guy with the woman, or the black man. Who cares.

So basically she was lambasting the media for doing to her what they did to Obama.

Then she claimed Obama was using change as a political move, coming from the woman who was chosen to be VP simply for being a woman.

No respectable scientist disagrees with evolution. Its as accepted in the scientific world as gravity. Only your creationists disagree. We have more evidence proving the existence of evolution than we have evidence to prove light exists.

You wanna talk about people belittling YOU sweetheart when calling your state small and governing one isn`t justifying your qualifications to be VP? Then go and say unlike Obama you`ve had ACTUAL responsibilities? Give me a break.

She just outright lied about him not getting through any legislature. Just google and find over 800 things he`s sponsored. True, not all of it has gotten through but some very important ones have become law.

Its obvious that he has been doing a lot in the Senate and her "present" remark saying that he doesn`t do anything is just ridiculous when you look at how many pieces of legislature he has been involved with.

You know what I find interesting about all this after watching the DNC and RNC? How similar the parties are these days.

Just because the nature of politics which is `get more votes than the other guy` they will say anything to get more people on their side. And since the majority of americans are much more moderate than the people that represent us in the government, the politicians are blending into the same party with similar policies (even though they claim their`s is better) and different names. Its basicly like watching a yo-mama-so-fat match, only these people are wearing suits and ties.

So they waste tons of money on two conventions, when in reality it would be better to just have them at the same place simultaneously...That would be much more entertaining, which is all americans care about now isn`t it?

"Yes. Let`s build more nuclear plants so we can have more fish like Blinky."

Nuclear power is actually safe. The only real incident has been chernobyl. I dont think a cartoon is good enough reason.

"The problem is MOST of the political posts approved for posting here are right-winged posts. The posts that make it to the front page are not politically balanced, and both sides are not equally represented."

You`ve got to be kidding me. How many anti-Bush post must there be? We just had a bunch of links that made fun of Palin.

"so the US building nuclear powerplants is OK, but other countries building nuclear powerplants are labeled by the US as doing so only in order to enrich weapons grade materials?"

Most of them don`t comply with UN inspection.

"lol, no bitch, Obama`s gonna raise YOUR taxes, not ours. He`s gonna tax the rich harder, and the real people less."

Wrong again. She is not overly rich. Until now she makes over 100k. And Obama wants to raise taxes for all business big and small. Regardless of popular belief we are in a stagflation not a recession. The worst thing to do in a stagflation is increase taxes for anyone.

"Then why don`t you suggest a good link or post one right here?"

So wait. Everyones complaining that IAB has a bias (because McCain`s Brain was obviously a left-wing attack?), then someone states another bias and you say well... just suggest a link. How is that any different in this case? There`s a link, now we are commenting on it. BIAS BIAS.. yada yada yada

" How similar the parties are these days."
Thats been the main complaint of both parties. Conservatives aren`t conservative enough, liberals aren`t liberal enough.

    Anyway, watch this...

    McCain on religion.

    And then this...

    Obama on religion.

And it will become painfully obvious just how bad for our country and anti-American John McCain really is. Despite what many of the more ignorant Americans would tell you, this is not the united headquarters for the international christian offensive. This is America, land of the free, FOR ALL.

Ok, so what exactly is safe about toxic waste that continues to pollute for hundreds of thousands of years? You do know at one point they were just launching that crap into the Atlantic Ocean and housing it in concrete boreholes that will never effectively contain the radiation materials for it`s given half-life?

Sorry - nuclear Power is reaaaally not safe. You`d be kidding yourself to think otherwise.

Obama wants to raise taxes on those people who have made it in life through thier own hard work. That is wrong. Also, continuing a war to help a country that just wants to piss on us, is also wrong. If you are poor, then you didnt work hard enough. Evryone has the ability to word unless u are mentally or physicaly disabled completely. people lose jobs and have hard times here and there...but there are a lot of poor folks who just refuse to even try and think the government owes them money...that` not the case. Taxing businesses like dems want to just raises prices for everything that poor people (and all people) need to buy. raising taxes when people have no money doesn`t work

"If you are poor then you didn`t work hard enough".

Yeah because the best paid people on earth are the ones that worked the hardest, you know, farmers, miners, etc.

I mean if they slave away for say 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they`ll make as much as the national average. All they gotta do is work the remaining 6 hours, quit bathing, sleeping or seeing their families, and hey presto, they`ll be millionaires in a mere 17 years assuming they have no bills to pay, and assuming it`s all tax free.

I consider the above a solid mathematical proof of the statement "You are as dumb as mud".

How come no link to Sarah Palin video speech saying America`s war in Iraq is a "Task from God", and even worse, saying Alaskans need to vote for a new oil pipe line because it is "God`s Will"?
It is absolutely disgusting for a Politician to use religion to trick religious people to achieve her political goals.
Real Christians shouldn`t blindly support someone just because they are Christian like them. They should actually be outraged when their religion is used as a political tool. This is the same kind of tactic used by Islamic terrorists: they gain supporter by convincing them that "Allah wills it". Muslims who can think for themselves know that terrorists have no Idea what "Allah wills", and Christians who can think for themselves should deplore this descpicable

I live in a rural, coal mining area. Coal miners make about $30+ per hour. Farmers own $200,000 combines, $100,000 tractors and a few hundred acres of land. I wish I had the money of the average coal miner or farmer around here.

Nazarene you are so naive: farmer who OWN farms HAVE to own that expensive gear. Most are not wealthy for that very reason: they have to keep buying and replacing $200,000 equipment. Some are successful and wealthy because they are shrewd and most importantly, smart, (and to a degree, lucky). They bottom line is, the core of America`s work force is made up of hard working, and (through no fault of their own) less intelligent laborers, who do the back breaking physical labor that makes America run. Some are paid well. Most are not, and their life expectancy is up to 10 years less because they 1) wear down their bodies with back breaking labor 2)can`t afford the health care needed as a result.

Nazarene: " I wish I had the money of the average coal miner"

Then why don`t you go work in a coal mine? Seriously- if you wish you had that money, tell me why you don`t go work in a coal mine.

"If you are poor then you didn`t work hard enough"

That is a bullpoo statement right there. Usually the richest people hardly work at all. the people who work away all day with hard manual labor hardly get paid. Also, you could be poor becase your parents couldnt afford to put you through school, and many other reasons.

And Nazarene, Poy is right, farmers hardly make enough money to continue farming, let alone be generally wealthy. Have you ever seen farmers in an estate with all modern and tricked out furniture? I think not

And as for Iraq, it was a dumb idea for us to go in there in ther first place. That should have never happened. But we cant leave now because the second we do a horrible civil war would brake out and that would be our fault. what we need to do is put in some sort of goverment, then slowely ease our way out

You need to look at the mission of the PNAC to understand why we went to Iraq. When I say bush is a pawn, he is just that. Look who are signed charter members of the PNAC, look at their mission statement and realize that this war in iraq was and is occupancy. They thought that if we overthrew the government there the people would crowd the streets and give us a parade. They thought the people would let us build a naval base in the gulf, they thought we could build military bases on the borders of iran. Iraq was to be a stagin area to conquer the middle east. The PNAC has a 100 year plan to invade, conquer and control the oil counties of the middle east in order to allow the US to control the world economy through oil. If you don`t believe me, look it up... Do your homework and look it up. Don`t try and discredit statements, look... it... up...

"Sorry - nuclear Power is reaaaally not safe. You`d be kidding yourself to think otherwise."

France gets 80% of there power from nuclear. They haven`t had any issues.

"primetimekin, I am glad to see you`re happy with the republicans. It will make it easier for me to know that you will gladly pay off the debt from this admininstrations follies in Iraq, I won`t have to pay this off, but you sure as hell will. Ha f#cking ha."

There are 3 economic thoughts in accordance to debt
    1. Keynesian view- debt is a burden and should be paid off
    2. Ricardian view- Debt just means you`re spending more than your receiving. In the future the process just needs to be reversed and it wont really matter.
    3. Debt is an inconsistent measure and cannot accurately describe the economy.
And its not debt, its public debt. The EU standard is 60%, US is at 70%, its not that bad. Compared to Japan`s 180

"The problem is MOST of the political posts approved for posting here are right-winged posts."

Are you kidding!? Maybe it`s just my wishful thinking, but I think IAB is a lot more left sided.

...I`m far too tired for this sh*t.

Come November we`ll find out who`s the president, and then a year from then we`ll see how the country is.

"clean coal... hmmm... stupid republican, check"

Clean coal means they aren`t burning the coal, they are pressuring it to get the energy out of it. We have more coal than anyone else, we should use that method of energy.

"Viralshade, raising taxes wrong... because of a new law of physics? Because schools + hospitals pay for themselves?"

Tax cuts almost pay for themselves.

" I say tax the hell out of the rich."
" obiously you have no idea what its like to be poor and not be able to find a job."

Coming from someone who was kicked out of their house and lived in a farm in a major city because your illegitimate dad kicked you out. The best way to get out of that is by not taxing the business, let it grow. More people get hired and thats how you move up.

I went from rags to... spoiled.

As far as the recent post on how to be rich.

    1) Dont spend above your means. Actually, spend below it. I`ve noticed people that make 30k a year, 50k a year, 80k a year, and 200k a year; normally have the same car.

    2) Get every possible dollar you can. Take risk. If your IRA grows at 5%, and stocks grow at 7%, don`t be afraid to invest more in stocks.

    3) If you can, go to private school. Its better. I go to public school and what my teacher in AP English is teaching me is the same she taught her students in 6th grade at a 20k a year school.

"If you are poor, then you didnt work hard enough."

Okay, I guess my mom didn`t work hard enough at her two jobs when she was raising me by herself, and that`s why she had to steal baby food for me so I could eat. I guess I`m not working hard enough right now with my two jobs and full-time college, since I`m living in a small apartment eating Campbell`s and packaged rice. I guess those Ethiopians didn`t work hard enough since they have no food and can`t afford to import enough.

I would call you a poor excuse for a human being, but you`re not even legal yet.

Oh wow. How people can get so mad about things like this is beyond me.

"The problem is MOST of the political posts approved for posting here are right-winged posts. The posts that make it to the front page are not politically balanced, and both sides are not equally represented."

Ummm... Are you drating kidding me? I`m not even a little Republican, and I can see that IAB has far more left winged posts.

"If you are poor, then you didnt work hard enough."

Again, are you drating kidding me? I get what you`re saying, that people who drop out of school and smoke pot all day have no right to complain when in ten years they`re broke, but saying that poor people somehow deserve it is ignorant to an extreme degree.

    "Clean coal?
    Oxymoron."

My college Energy and the Environment professor spent a few days teaching us about clean coal. It does exist, and it is one of the possible alternatives scientists are looking into.

"If you are poor, then you didnt work hard enough."

Say that to my family. My mom who had to work 4 jobs while going to college just so that we wouldn`t lose the only form of homeage we had when I was a kid, a townhouse that leaked and had mildew and made me sick multiple times as a child. Say that to me, who has to work to get even the smallest luxuries that every other teenager`s parents buy for them without a question and who asks for clothes for her 16th birthday because her parents can`t afford a car like most people get on thier 16th birthday. People like you DISGUST me. I really, really do wish I could wring your neck and then hang you, you despicable, evil little right-wing non-nice individual.

well, i guess i knew id have to deal with some of you people. Ok, heres where i`ll start. I am 15. I live in a household that makes less than 35,000 dollars a year. This computer is the most advanced thing in my house. My parents may work hard, but somewhere in their lives, they messed up. If other people can make A`s in school and get full scholarships, then why cant we all? Obviously, we all wont, because many wont devote their time to their own education. Someone has to be poor, someone has to be rich. Thats the way society works. We cant all be perfectly equal, because then we`d want more than the other guy. And dont even lie by saying youd be fine if everything was the same for everyone. It`s impossible to have a world like that. I dont care if your a democrat, or a republican. I am niether. I, a 15 year old kid living in a democratic house with an income lower than most of the population, am niether. And btw, i managed to wrie this without any cursing.

And, btw, i work everyday. After school from 4-8. Gettin 7 dollars an hour. None of whice i ever see. Why? Because i am helping to pay bills. And just because youre poor and live in the ghetto dosent mean you cant work to be smarter. Theres this wonderfull building called a library. And almost every city has at least one. But, heck, i dont care. What you do in life really isnt my buisness. I guess i should thank you all for taking the time to read what i wrote.
