William Spencer is a Mad Genius on a Skateboard

Submitted by: eugenius 8 years ago in Sports

I"m rarely impressed with skateboarders doing the same tricks over and over, but this kid finally brings something new.

It was a unique video, that`s for sure. But really, when you break it down, not too difficult for any other skater to do; it was all theatrics, pretty much, mixed with some acrobatics.

`You can`t divide by zero, idiot. None of my friends who skate have ever received more than a minor sprain, and making up dumb laws in a really dorky way to try to demean those who find skating enjoyable just makes you look like a queer who needs to find a hobby.`

You lost that point when you used `queer`.

Also, fish eye lens are surely done by now?

"@ kairobert - If my IQ has to be lower than the number of wheels on the board, what about a snowboard? Oh... I get it..."

Try to read the whole comment and you will see that the statement above was a quote. My reply is below it.

Two of the things I do most are skateboard and gymnastics but you would never find me flipping onto my board.

"For those who like a little Grammar lesson with their daily IAB lunch, the post`s title is a thing called an "oxymoron", a phrase which contradicts itself. Obviously, a genius would never be found on a skateboard! To legally ride a skateboard your IQ has to be lower than the number of wheels on the board divided by the number of times you`ve cracked your head on the sidewalk. This is known in Mathematics as "So Close To Zero It Makes No Practical Difference" "

Hey drat you! I am qualified for Mensa and I still skate. It`s a lot better than doing nothing at all (growing fat and mould), as many people do these days. You also develop a higher pain-tolerance.

I think eugenius means he is most likely a genius by the average skateboarder standard as he has, on occasion, been seen counting past the number five without the use of his fingers, and you have to admit thats pretty impressive... by skateboarding standards.

"skateboarding is more of an art than a sport. if someone backflipped onto a canvas, sure it would be impressive but would it be painting?"

Depends how much blood comes out of his skull when he hits the pavement.

So the moral of the story is, if you are stuck at only "good" at stakeboarding, just throw in a bunch of aerobics and stunts that have nothing to do with skateboarding, and you will be propelled to "genius!"

lol, pretty neat stuff though.

Most of that was very impractical, but this is pretty much the equivalent to billiard trick shots. I was really impressed when he landed on & rode the skateboard while on another skateboard (with wheels), though.

Makes me realize how I can only enjoy a skateboarding video if it has a good face plant or three.

Also... the song is not "Shot Through The Heart" that happens to be a totally different song by Bon Jovi. Correct title is, "You Give Love A Bad Name".

i dont know the name of that song either. i would feel like i wasted a small portion of my memory if i knew about a song that i dont care one war or the other about. i can guess based on the repetitive lyrics but that all. avoiding useless information that gives you nothing not even a tiny amount of entertainment is a good thing..

at best he is making use of above average balancing ability. to bad any natural talent he may have in the aria of balance is wasted the way he is using it. for all the times he jumped on to a skateboard i would like to see at least 1 face plant. some of the jumps he made i would expect a face plant of 2 that require reconstructive surgery.

"most of that is pretty simple comparitivly. get off, do a little jump kick thing, get on"
Try standing on a board without falling off.

Then try jumping onto it.

Then try to frontflip onto it.
