Link: Toddler Tossing - I want to hope this is doctored footage or a viral video. Sadly, I think it`s just crappy parenting.

It looks kind of doctored to me, the part where he`s flying through the air looks a bit awkward.
    Gosh, I hope that`s not real. :(

At first I was shocked a little bit, but as the video went on I heard a voice in the back of my head say:

"Well if they drop one, they probably have like 4 left, so it`s no big loss."

    Then I couldn`t stop laughing.

I don`t think that`s bad parenting at all. I think they`re having fun with the kids and the kids are having a good time. I really don`t think there was a large enough chance that they were going to drop the kids. I used to toss my daughter back and forth with my husband (granted we weren`t standing that far apart) and she got such a kick out of it.

There`s a thin line between risking a child`s life and letting them have fun. I have two stepbrothers, 4 and 6, and my boyfriend and I pick them up and spin em around and stuff all the time, but never toss them a handful of yards back and forth.

It`s hilarious because they`re facial expression never changes. They still have that "I`m a cat and better than you look" awww I miss my kitty

This isn`t bad parenting. I`ll admit, the distance is kinda scary, but I don`t think the kids would be seriously hurt if they had dropped them. What`s scary is having 4 grown men jump on a trampoline when suddenly they notice a fifth little body amongst them. My toddler cousin scared the crap out of us.

    1) Will they die if they fall? No
    2) Is this a guaranteed funny story? Yes

I thought it was fine. I remember I use to toss my niece, it was on a bed so she wouldnt get hurt... although I did try to throw a spiral...

When I turn my kids upside down or spin them around by the arms, my wife & mother-in-law get all cringe-y and think the kid`s arms are gonna dislocate or their necks are gonna snap or God knows what else. So they would absolutely freak out and have heart attacks if I did something like that with my kids.

That`s the only thing that stops me, though, `cause it looks like a lot of fun. Kids are made of rubber & they heal quickly. We suburbanites are far too over-protective and gentle on our kids these days. Kids need bumps & bruises growing up. Not from actual abuse (duh) but just from being a kid. And occasionally getting dropped while being hurled through the air by an uncle.

Will they die if dropped? Probably not. Will it be a funny story? I don`t know, what did they break when they hit the ground? If it`s an arm or leg, maybe. If it`s a hip or a cranium or a neck, probably not.

How is this bad parenting? Dangerous..Maybe?(If you dip your hands in a bucket of KY) I had this happen to me and I loved it as a child. Besides, there are far worse things children get themselves into than this I am sure.

But I also find it quite interesting the people who are most bothered are the younger crowd.

there is nothing wrong with "tossing" a child up in the air, and someone else catching them, BUT you need to have COMPLETE control of the situation. I toss my daughter all the time, onto beds and couches or to my brothers, but I always make sure she will be safe. It usually involves my hands being around her but not touching her.

and what they were doing to the little girl was just wrong, flipping her upside down by her legs and then tossing her, that one was lucky she got caught. there should also be a certain age its ok, the little boy at the beginning seemed kinda young, bones and what not have not developed into their rubbery state, while the little girls seemed a bit older and more of the "invulnerable" stage.

^^ if that is to me, then yes, we do worry about our kids.

if its to the video, those weren`t dads, they were either neighbors or uncles, most dads would be more conscientious. Although, looking at the age of the guys in question, they might be dads and in which case had the kids when they were just 18 and we all know how good 18 year olds make as parents...

why is this bad parenting? my dad and uncles used to do this with us kids in a big circle. the game was over when one of us puked. My mom and aunts had poo fits every damn time but for us kids, its great memories. * ahhhh * innocent childhood.

that looks like a father and uncle. men are supposed to do stupid, quasi-dangerous stuff with their boys!

my dad didnt have sons, so my sister and i had the pleasure of being flung head first into the ceiling with my mother screaming, "don`t do that to the girls!" and us screaming, "again! again!"

happy days for the kids. One of the best things about being a kid is that your dad or uncles can throw you about like a rag doll, you`ll never experience forces like it again unless you become an astronaut. Possibly dangerous but so is riding a bike and such, if you`ll spin a kid around by his or her hands this is no different but more fun because you don`t get dizzy!

This is plain as day, bad parenting.

You`re all the reason why people are so drated up now a days because you think its ok and think its fun.

What`re you going to do next? Throw`em in the air and lett`em drop for the lulz?

all you people who are making a fuss. It`s your fault playgrounds aren`t fun anymore.

seriously, the only part that I questioned was when they flipped the little girl `abby` upside down and threw her from her legs. And even then you could hear her mother in the background objecting.

children aren`t made of glass. When you try to protect them from everything, they can`t get the experience of being kids

^ i agree, Broadway. we had tackle tag and dodgeball and skidding out our bigwheels in the gravel driveway.

if a dodgeball hit you in the face, you walked around with that "ping" in your ear for a week. if your dad banged your head too hard on the ceiling, you faked a headache and get ice cream.

Danger gets your heart thumping, blood pumpin, adrenaline racing, in other words: you feel alive! i dont understand the people nowadays who wana take that away from kids.
