A Japanese toy company has come up with a robotic "virtual" pet - modelled on a 3 day-old chick. Awww.

I have the exact same robot cat thats in the end of this video.
I bought it for my Three year old.
Honestly, it`s also not very interesting at all.
Pull it`s tail, it hisses.
It moves, it purrs, it lays down...and then you start the cycle all over again. Paid 50 bucks for that drating cat. lol

i remember a while back they were giving out talking spongebob toys at mcdonald`s or something...and the voicebox broke after a day and somehow it found its way into my room...and started screaming as i was going to sleep. after i threw it out in the hallway it apparently wanted back in and woke me up by hissing in my face the next morning. either spongebob`s the devil or my brother`s an ass.hole

...Umm....Did I miss something in the specs on these "robots"? I believe they had these in HyVee every easter until around 3 years ago when the clerks got pissed at kids activating them all at the same time...

Furby equivalent of a real animal.

They suck sooo bad... i was expecting chirping, walking, pecking, maybe being skittish if you tried to touch them.. like a virtual pet as they said.. not a button you press for a sound clip and a simple movement covered in fluff... why is this a link on here @.@?!?!

I would like them if they didn`t have the sound of rusty gears moving...

Wait wait wait, go back to the cat. Those chicks don`t do anything cool, but the fake cat looks intriguing...

I was hoping that the word chick was the other meaning. Oh well.

They don`t look like very much fun. I had a little toy chick when I was a kid, and it looked the same. It chirped when you held it.. and it was probably a hell of a lot cheaper than these.

I`d rather have that robot cat.

It`s like a furby, only it manages to be less frightening and less awesome all at once. Fail.

Well, the robotic cat seemed interested. :|

I still have one of those obnoxious chirping chicks from back in the day.
Except my dog ripped the face off of it.
So it`s not very cute anymore.
