doubt the rat has much to think on the matter because they probably only made the parts of the brain that control movement and react to visionary stimuli

    Awesome!

And to those saying PETA will be all over this, this is cruel, etc. We`ve done waaaaay worse to mice than this. We`ve forced Alzheimers on mice, given them advanced stages of the flu, etc.

Aaaaaaw are your feelings hurt? Poor you.

Shame that you don`t have diabetes, anthrax, a flu, polio, rabies, hepatitis (insert random letter), chicken pox, yellow fever and so on.

Would`ve been nice to call you a hypocrite.

Dammit, science! What did I tell you about giving robots sentience? First you put a roosterroach in control of a robot, now you`re putting an actual brain in the damn thing. What`s next? A human brain and a chainsaw? That`s it - you`re grounded. No more research for two weeks, got that?!

Wha.. Roosterroach?! thats not anything! I think the censor needs an update. Oh man though... A giant c.ckroach with feathers, long legs with clawed feet, a beak, a weird skin flap thing on its head, and wings? No good can possibly come from such a hybrid.

Dear God, you people are dense.

    They didn`t use a rat`s brain.

Read that again, and comprehend it.

They took a small culture of brain cells, and let them multiply. They formed a rudimentary nervous system on their own.

No animals were harmed in the making of this robot.
