A few of those are songs I never knew existed. Some of them I remember well, and still like. But what the hell, the cheap bastards had a copy of "Break My Stride" from some radio show with the DJ talking in the middle of the song. WHAT? I could have sent them a real copy of it for free. Douchebags.

Why do they only have songs from the 70`s and 80`s? There were plenty of one-hit wonders in the 90`s and even the 60`s.

Eddie Murphy is NOT a one hit wonder! In addition to Party All The Time, he had Boogie In The Butt!

Anyone else having problem with the volume? I have two options: on or off, but both of them have zero volume bars. Can`t hear poo. (no, ain`t the speakers.)

Oh, yeah, and who knew Michael Sembello was out of the closet? (I think a picture of a naked man having his junk groped on the cover qualifies as out of the closet, don`t you?)

Where is "What I Like About You" by The Romantics? I thought they were the biggest One-Hit Wonder of all time.

You forgot "Talking In Your Sleep" which was a bigger hit than "What I Like About You" at the time.

The saddest thing is that I have so many of these records. Madness by Madness (they have the wrong album cover), Killer on the Rampage by Eddie Grant, Rhythm of Youth by Men Without Hats (and hello, doesn`t anyone remember "Pop Goes The World" - they had at least two big hits!)

This list sucks but I like all the sound samples so that I can listen to them. Never knew "Tarzan Boy" was by Baltimora, for example.

Wow...I can`t believe I knew 30 of these! In fact Whip it, The Safety Dance, Take on me, and Mickey have been 4 of my fave songs since I was a kid... and I`m only 19!

America is not the world LOl- Madness, Frankie, Ah-ha and Gary numan for a start had quite a few hits! Madness had tons here. And I`m pretty sure that Devo and nena were very sucessful on the continent.

Oh, how I hate the 80`s..

This brought back bad memories of my parents, myself, and a brother and sister all crammed into a squeaky old Ford Taurus without air conditioning with my mother, my poor, tone-deaf mother, singing along to most of these songs, while my father was white knuckling, trying not to swerve off the road in his annoyance...

Thank you, IAB, for bringing back the memories I have tried to block out after all these years.

Yes, yes, I do have problems.

Yeah..I totally agree with buttersrules. This is an American list. Everywhere else some of the bands where VERY popular..Madness where HUGE in the UK and are quite rightly recognised for there influence on the British music scene in the 80s.

Bwuch: I knew what a sampling was, I just didn`t bother to look it up (b/c I also thought it was a little bit dissimilar) and see if Rihanna sampled from Soft Cell. I realized that shortly after. Thanks though!

I stopped bothering with this list as soon as I saw that Frankie goes to Hollywood was on it. How can you be considered a one hit wonder when your first 3 singles all went to number one on the UK, and your fourth single reached number 2? I know that `relax` was a hit in the US, I also thought that `power of love` made it into the top 10 in the US as well. I know that all 4 singles were also in top 10 in Australia and, I`m fairly sure New Zealand, with `Relax` reaching number 1 in both countries.

There are a lot of acts mentioned in the comments here, as one hit wonders. Well, maybe in the US, but in their countries of origin, and elsewhere, they had multiple success. Madness is a great example. I can think of at least 3 madness songs that made the top 10 in Australia. They had 17 top 10 singles in the UK. They hold the record (jointly with UB40) for most weeks in the top 10 for the decade (1980s). Hardly a one hit wonder. And the list goes on...

I played hair-metal and despised pop in the 80`s.

...But I still knew all these songs.

...And Safety Dance rocks.

karenina is because Rihanna stole the beat, just like Timbaland stole the beat from Push It to produce his "The Way I Are".

just because the are one hit wonders doesn`t mean they weren`t successful. Mark Mothersbaugh of devo has become a very successfull composer fo t.v. shows and movies. and the lead singer of kajagoogoo also sang the theam song for the never ending story. And Toni Basil is a successfull choreographer.

hahahahah I see it now!!!
Maybe she was preggers... and the arm was symbolic of her husband... and the cover art was a representation of an artist`s desire for family regardless of fame or wealth.
maybe?
