Dainty - I think the most hated subject by high school is `engrish` (in light of the video =p)

Maddog - "bush`s America` is right; Don`t hate the citizens because of our leader. We made a mistake voting him, we thought he would be better, AND we admit we made a bad decesion, you need to STFU instead.

To everyone defending good `ole US of A, thank all of you. It feels great reading people defend our country. Usually I`m doing it alone via internet, so thanks again. Our country has made mistakes but it doesn`t mean we are terrible. Like someone else said `if you don`t like it here, shut up or get out`.

Koala - you spew so much hatred about a country/group of people it is almost inhumane. You know who else hated ONE set group of people? Hitler and he tried killing them all. You need to calm down, smoke some dope or something and just relax. It is pretty messed up you can hate some group so much that its easily comparable to someone like that.

VIVA USA. Happy 4th!

There is not a single country that has done no wrong, let ye who hath not sinned cast the first stone. You people who think you are so righteous make me sick. If you don`t think the United States is a great country, stay out or get out. But by claiming it`s so terrible you don`t exactly cast yourselves in a positive light. Especially if you`ve never been here, as I have no doubt that many of the naysayers haven`t.
-------------------------------------------------

Oh STFU. The whole damn world hates Bush`s America. Every single move he`s made has been frowned upon, but has he ever learned? Did you do anything about it? No you bloody didnt!
No country is perfect, your quite right..but who gave America the right to act like the world police when it cant even look after its own people!

Indeed Dainty, you are beacon of hope by rightfully showing that we should never pass judgment on a group as a whole, as it is a diverse collection.

This is in the same post that you condemn all teenagers as idiots who only learn to get a passing grade.

Don`t be such a dumbass.

America is today what Rome was just before Caesar. America has quite a few years left in it... But china will most likely once again be the world power... (China has been a power forever, and will likely stay a power for a very very long time.

However in celebration of the 4th, I will be shooting loads of illegal fireworks off. Ironic how the best and main way of celebrating freedom is now illegal and forbidden, unless you are a company that is paid to do it.

Meh, The holiday is purely about rebeling against authority and doing what the hell you want...

Itsallfake, people in the volunteer army often joined b/c of economic reasons. It`s not their fault if they get called into a stupid conflict they didn`t want. As for the american people, most of the country was duped into thinking this was a worthwhile fight by shoddy media coverage. By "support the troops" I think they mean give a damn about the peril they are in and don`t run them down for political decisions they have little say in. Its like returning vietnam vets being called criminals, but then I guess you`d remember something like that.

I didnt say i hate the troops, i said i dont support them because they are loyalists. I would rather hook on the street for college money, than to swear my allegiance to our government right now. The american people? Love em, the US Gov. I hate... The people duped into being loyal to a government that will use them for their own gains? I feel sorry for them, i pity them, but cannot put my loyalty behind them, because they picked a side, and it isn`t the side of the american people.

@Mcgovern:
Total BS - They are SOLD on that idea. All they have to do is wait a couple of years and they can get a completely free ride through college and the government will pay for it. I did exactly that. All you have to do is research a little and you will find it is not as hard to pay for college as you might think. I went Miami University and the only student loans i got were berser(sp?) so that not only could i go to college for free, but i was given 4k/semester to live on... Not only do you have to serve 4 years in the military to get that college fund, but there is a HUGE List of things you have to accomplish or you don`t get the full amount. PLUS you have to wait 5 years before you can cash in on that plan. I`ve also heard that if you get convicted of a felony, you are denied those funds. AND there is a bill on the docket to make soldiers wait 9 years before they can use that money for college.

Yes I agree. I re-learned most of my historical knowledge from the history channel, and the few good history teachers I had. I had to forget much of my flawed government-funded education. Though this isn`t to say my country is the only that does it. Example, when I was in high school we had Russian foreign-exchange students. They had absolutely know idea that the United States was even in WWII, and had almost know knowledge of the war in the Pacific. And yes I know I just compared my country on equal terms to a former communist regime.

The problem is, that you ARE pointing at our country and spouting hatred. Look i despise our government, and i will point to washington dc and spout hatred. I DONT support the troops, because people who sign up for the military are loyal to the government, not to the people. It has become very clear that the government in this country has separated itself from the people. The people are americans, the government is the USA. They have driven a wedge between them. I don`t point to the middle east and start spouting hatred, because i know, over there there are people who are trying to grind out a living and make ends meet just like me. The difference most of them don`t have the resources to do it like i do. Plus you take a power hungry GOVERNMENT who wants more land and resources and 300K government loyalists and you wind up with a war.

McGovern1981 - only those who see themselves in what I write, or are so far up their a$$ they can`t stand the fact that somebody else thinks hat America isn`t "The sh°t" and take it personally as an insult -

Because deep in their mind there is the nagging thought that they are not as good as they think they are and desperatly try and silence said thoughts, but when people like me point it out, that small little thought says "See? See?" As the person rolls around in self hatred.

In which case what I write is well placed and if you feel affected or insulted, well I meant it.

A few things, maddog, every country rewrites history in a favorable manner to themselves, that`s just how it works.
-------------------------------------------------

True..But America does it whilst everyone else still remembers what really happened, therefore it`s insulting to the international community at large. Example: WWII. Many Americans truely belive America stepped in to save the allied forces. the truth was most Americans didnt want to get involved and if it hadnt been for Pearl Harbour its quite possible America would never have joined. True, with out your help Nazis would most likely rule the world and I`m greatfull for every soldier who stepped up...but its insulting to every other country to make out your country alone saved the day. to be fair, Hollywood probably has a lot to answer for in that department nut I`ve still met a lot of Americans who couldnt have history more w

"The U.S. is going right down the same path as every other world power did."

And...? Try telling us something we don`t already know. Seriously, it`s a pattern. You start with the most violent period, polycentric, where there are many world powers all in conflict, followed by bicentric power, two powers so opposed that they keep everyone else in check, usually the most peaceful time, and the monocentric period where one power makes everyone else worse off until the cycle repeates.

Mono with GB, then WWI and WWII had Poly, then Bi with Soviet Union and US. We`re back in a Mono with the US (though we aren`t going to last as long as the British empire). Which means we are on the verge of WWIII.

I hope nobody signed any treaties lately...

The War of 1812 was fought between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and its colonies, including Upper Canada (Ontario), Lower Canada (Quebec), Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Bermuda.

So ya we attacked Canada because parts of it were British boo hoo and yes we started the war because Britain had been blockading us a stiffeling our country any other country would do the same so Im not exactly sure how that counts as forcing Democracy you sound spiteful.

France - 1812

G.B. - WWI (They may have won, but the toll was too great, Empire, India, New Technologies etc)

U.S. - Yeeeeaaaaah

China is Next.

If History teaches us anything, is that it always, always repeats itself.

The U.S. is going right down the same path as every other world power did.

But I will remind those of you (like myself) who live in areas concentrated with veterans, conservatives, and rednecks that burining a flag in public is not a good idea unless you are attempting suicide.

That`s like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer until your skull cracks during the zombie apocalypse.

Who gives a damn about a country who cares soo much about freedom they repeativly walk into every other country thats not their own and "Liberate" anyone who s ther.

See, war of 1812, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq.

Who gives a [email protected] about a country who calls themselves A Democratic nation, yet Treats *ALL* their citzens as thought they where crminals - much like Soviet Russia.

It must be the sheer delusion of not wanting to admit being stuck so far up their own a$$ that they see it as a wonderfull glorious place which only wants the best for its population.

Because lets face it, economy going down the drain, corporations wanting every penny off everyone, the entire world hating you, the mounting religious idiosincrasies, growing health problems (an issue with diet, not health care) the diminishing lack of education -

"You know, it actually IS legal to burn an American flag if you`re an American citizen. It`s covered in the 1st Amendment as symbolic speech."

What? Did they actually need to write it down on a piece of paper to legalize it? Don`t you think it should be legal without that?

Hmmm probably take the kids to school, paint the front room floor, take the dog for a walk...................wooo hoooo can`t wait. St. George`s day is our day. St. Patrick`s day is my dad`s day and International Romany day is my mum and dad`s day. 4th of July (as a holiday) doesn`t even register in our lives.

To those who can LEGALLY play with fireworks, and to those who don`t care either way:

It`s REALLY hard to masturbate when the digits are blown off. Just a friendly reminder. ;)
