He might be a little on the obvious side of the theft game, but his approach is effective.

technichly,
he`s not a theif.
he tells his victim to pick up some money,
and then takes something from him.
he payed for whatever he took.
it was technichly a purchase

Yup, very slick, like many thieves, but made one key oversight - the video camera.

And this is why they`re taught to spot cameras... *facepalm* Otherwise a very decent approach.

Aw crap! I was expecting something in the lines of "Download to Papa!"

My guess is that internet cafes are not that popular because people get their own internet at home, unless most people find this a ripoff. I don`t.

Yeah real smart, except one thing, they caught him on video which will mean automatic jail time, I hope that cell phone was worth 6 months of freedom.

I have seen vids of thieves using this in casino`s with the people playing the slot machines... when the person at the machine bends down to pick up "insert miscellaneous object here" they steal coins out of the slot machine tray.

At first I thought he was looking at their computer monitors for user-names, passwords, bank information, whatever like a smart person... then he pulls that "you dropped something" snatch-and-grab maneuver and steals that guys phone or cookies or whatever the hell it was.

It`s done all over the world, but in different situations, restaurants and everything.

The music in the background kinda freaked me out a bit though...

Looks like he dropped a few dollars and asked if the guy had dropped them then when he turns around takes his phone or MP3 or other small device, it`s the classic bait maneuver enticing the mark with free stuff but helping yourself to something of theirs worth much more.

i think he stole a cell phone. whats really slick is that he got his attention from the left, but the object was placed so that he would have to turn back towards the right to pick it up.

Well, I guess that goes to show, stealing is easy when you`re at a LAN party.

That was really sad - Im sure whatever he stole probably wasn`t worth the time, money, or effort. Not to mention the background music was irritating.

I don`t understand what he dropped; something that was apparently fine for him not to be noticed as absent.
Yes, very suspicious-acting, but pretty slick.

haha, i figured he was just gonna punch someone and run away with their monitor, bu that works too
stealing is fun

Everyone was engrossed in their video games and wouldn`t notice him.
The guy dropped some kind of paper: maybe money, but more likely tickets to play more.
If you travel to Asian countries, always be ready to get scammed.

He was acting far too suspiciously at the beginning, those people should have caught on. Pretty good though, for managing that with all those people around.
