Could you imagine what kind of pressure there would be in being a twin? Even if you weighed 5 pounds heavier than your twin, people would notice and most likley call you "the fat one"

I thought it was going to be incest, too, based on the caption.
I wonder if this means that there is a "twin" gene that can be passed down?

The compact was approved by the last state on July 9 when Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm signed it. The fact that it moved so quickly through other states after Wisconsin passed it probably means that potential opponents saw they couldn’t derail the compact, said Melissa Malott, water program director for Clean Wisconsin. The compact waited in the Legislature while opponents objected to a provision allowing a single governor to veto a proposed water withdrawal, and while others wanted to restrain the state from gaining power over groundwater. Still, she said people should contact their representatives in Congress to ensure passage of the compact.

Actually, I can relate. When we bought our new house - getting cable set up was not on the top of the list. We were so busy getting things for the new house, moving, etc. that we did not think much of it. After the dust settled, we looked around and said something is missing to make it feel like `home`.

TV. We had to rent a couple of movies and stuff until they could come install, so yeah, it was a little wierd and i felt kinda lost not being able to flip on the news and keep up with things.

Congrats and best wishes on the new place.

I thought it was twin sisters marrying two guys, then both going on to have twins.

I`m a little disappointed that only one of them had twins, but the fact their husbands are identical makes up for it.

Means maddogg is right. If your aunt and uncle are genetically the same as your mom and dad, your cousins are pretty much literally "Brothers from another Mother"

I thought at first it was twin siblings marrying each other, then having twins of their own together. Ah well...

Still amazing. I didn`t understand, did it mean that both couples had twins, or only one of the couples did?

Jazzy: There is a `twin` gene, at least to some degree. Twins tend to run in families, and in fraternal twins, the gene causes women to release two eggs instead of one from the ovary. I`m not sure how it would work with identical.

Interesting, although much is still up to debate current scientific research shows little genetic linkage to the development of identical twins within a particular family.
And speaking as an identical twin myself; my brother and I have never worn the same clothing, nor do we share any `psychic link` with each other. Having a twin is the exact same thing as having another sibling. There`s no magical unity of thought between any set of twins.

I`m not sure how identical twins would be genetic, as that`s when the egg splits into two after one sperm has gone inside.

When I read the title, I thought it meant one set of identical twins got married and had identical twins. Then I got really confused how a same-sex couple could give birth like that anyway...

lemme get this straight... there was a set of girl twins who hook up with a set of boy twins... so the couple who marry after were sibling-in-laws... then each couple had a set of twins... and one couple had a lonerboy.

    ...
    o.o Ooookay.

For everyone thinking it`s incest, identically twins are always of the same sex, all different sex twins are fraternal.

So, yeah. Two Identical twins could never conceive because they`d be two girls or two boys.

Contrary to IAB`s belief, the lone child (bottom-left in the picture) will grow up to be a successful millionaire-scientist, and will invent the best thing since the automobile, whereas the rest of the family will age to become demented and drug obsessed bums.

I am an Identical Twin. My brother and I work in the same company and have done so for almost 15 years. When we initially went for the Medical the guys performing it were openly comparing our heart rates, and other details, in front of us talking about the differences and who was fitter ! Several times a year we get emails wrongly sent, or and rung up by people we don`t know, talking about meetings or work the other one is meant to be doing. At University (did different degrees but shared some classes) it took 3 years for one girl my brother knew to realise there was two of us after she kept wondering why I never paid any attention to her when I walked past. One Lecturer freaked out because he saw my brother on the top floor, walked down a set of stairs and then saw me. Wondered how the hell I got down there so quick and had to run back upstairs to check out my brother was still there. Got more than 30 years of stupid twin experiences like this.

I thought (after realising it wasn`t twin incest.) it meant that the couples had one child each and their children were identical.

    That would be awesome.
