good song, good message, pisses me off when I hear teenager singing it when they have no idea what the message is. Although I suppose that`s what you get when you try to rap out a political message.

There was something in a magazine about the meaning behind this song. I forget what it is though.

yeah ive been listing to this song for couple weeks now it just keeps you listening and singing along! :D

I can keep rhythm with no metronome
No metronome
No metronome

I can see your face on the telephone
On the telephone
On the telephone

And my other fav part is

Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won`t stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let`em all die in exasperation
Have`em all healed of their lacerations
Have`em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don`t like`em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
By satellite
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
Through a telescope
and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust

@Zerocyde

I never said the song was deep, nor did I say it was special. I may have commended the choice of words but thats because I generally enjoyed the video, I didnt realise that was a sin I`m sorry but that doesnt mean I wear my hat backwards and listen to soulja boy all day. I much prefer the smashing pumpkins or underoath but thats just me.

I`d love to hear your definition of real music

Ah GAD! This song? Back when I worked with United Airlines here in the US I had this song stuck in my head on the ramp all the time! Argh! Got laid off and still can`t get away from it! haha

@i-am-emo

Powerful lyrics are rather common in real music. I know how neat it is that they are finally starting to show up here and there in hip-hop, but to the rest of us, its nothing special. :P

Take a look at Xerties up there. Judging from his avatar picture, he knows a few examples of good lyrics. (assuming he knows what that symbol is from and didn`t just use it cause he liked it)

lol, So this is what the next generation passes for "deep" lyrics?

I hope I die before you people assume power.

Don`t get me wrong, this isn`t like, total `souljaboy-ish` trash or nothing. If I was retarded enough to listen to hip-hop then I only hope it would be this kind that I listened too, but still...

"all this video makes me think is that yet again. someone with no singing talent of any kind got a recording contract some how and that they are also pretty pretentious. dont know if its 1 loser or a group of losers in a band."

Sure, he doesnt have the best singing voice, I can side with you on that. But at least read the lyrics of the song or watch the video theres some pretty powerful symbolism in there. Im pretty confident the point of the post wasnt to criticise his singing ability.

"death what are you talking about? maybe youre listening to a different song"

He`s talking about the end of the music video.

Holy crap, what the hell is wrong with you people? That song is f`ing horrible!!! It is a musical blight on humanity. Everytime this piece of dreck comes on my radio it`s all I can do to keep from throwing it out onto the street. Horrible, awful, wretched song.

Jebler: Using your logic, drummers aren`t really musicians because they utilize a beat without melody. That being said, I`ll agree that it`s a pretty average song with very straight forward lyrics.

i didnt read any comments cause i dont want to find out that anyone actually likes this song. i clicked stop after i herd "i can ride my bi" ive suffered thru it twice beginning to end and never want to here a guy talk about what he can do with a slight strain in his voice at the end of each word and call it singing.

all this video makes me think is that yet again someone with no singing talent of any kind got a recording contract some how and that they are also pretty pretentious. dont know if its 1 loser or a group of losers in a band.

i hope someone has the unoriginality to tell me "you cant do any better" or some variation of that. that will teach me not to have my own opinion...

I don`t think it`s so much about "big bad government" as it is about potential and choices. About how the older you get and the more responsibility you have, your choices have much more serious consequences than when you were younger, and you can`t afford to be as arbitrary and vague about where you`re going and what you`re about than when you were younger.

...or something.

Moral of the story? Don`t be a braggart.

I feel like so much art is centered around the government getting too powerful and taking over people`s rights, that it`s all losing its creativity. I get it. Big bad government man. Gotcha.
