Would be good if they used it in fps`s like you would look at your ammo and think "poo ! need to reload" and it reloaded the gun for you without pressing the button. I think that making these the only way to play would suck because reaction time is a skill you get from practice on a game. )-|

^ You probably don`t have to be bald, but you probably have to put it close to your skin, which, if you have long hair, will add to that whole `I look like a retard while playing this.` factor.

Wow, if this is real and gets into society`s hands I can`t imagine what will happen.

Seriously, this is taking it too far. It`s too much. I just don`t like the idea of not even having my drating brainwaves to myself.

what happens when youre playing a game and you make a movement (for example to adjust to a more comfortable position) and you dont actually want that move to be used in the game?

LOL. I have tourettes so the reaction to the gameplay would be... screwed up.

Just reverse the technology and you have a brain-controlling device.

@ max5121: The facial features are sensed but at the moment don`t effect game play. Right now, it`s only done by focusing thought.

is it brain powered or is it controlled by facial movements?

Yeah, this is incredible. Think how much technology that involves. It`s actually scary...I don`t want bad people getting a hold on this technology. But if their going to make a GAME set out of it. That means that there`s probably 10x worse technology already out there in use.

Meh. Until Madden is on that it wont be worth the 300. I still think buttons are the best form of telling the game what you want it to do. What would be nice is if they do a combination of button, motion, and thought.

"this is what the wii 2 should be controlled with"

I hope not. They better bring this to a REAL game, not another pointless Mario game.

When you think of it, a Star Wars game would be cool...

Um, did anybody else notice the guy standing right beside him with the controller in his hand. I think the facial stuff is probably real, but beyond that... nope.

wow

i just imagined say, 200 years or so in the future, when they could make it so we can move things by using our brain-power. not like telekinesis or whatever, but like put magnets or something on everything so you can use something like this to just move things around when you want it just by thinking about it

Heard of this for a while, I`m just worried about side effects. Like all of a sudden, everyone with one of those becomes a mindless zombie...

There was a Japanese company that had the same thing, not sure if they are the same company, but they had a tech demo using Half Life Deathmatch and your thoughts controlled objects. The downside, they said, was that different emotions can change how things are run. Like if you are very stressed out or angry, things would run differently from when you are calm.

*sarcasm*sweet, I`ve always wanted to buy a 300 dollar brain machine that would then be able to pick up a glowy ball by only moving my hand up.
What would be really impressive would be if you didn`t have to do the movements, and could just think about what you wanted to do so that you don`t look like an idiot playing video games.

A demo game from the first attempt was made with the source engine. you basicly lift and push objects in an attempt to crush an enemy.
