I can see their priorities are set straight.
I feel bad for the possum too.
oh and hands up if any of you guys have ever actually been homeless, even if it was for a weekend? *hand gose up*
you dont choose to be homeless. i have a home now and a great life but only cos i was lucky enough to sort out a place to stay and get my life on track.
Just my assumption though.
But most of them weren`t kids, and some of them, technically, weren`t homeless. (assuming they aren`t all staged - in which case, none of them are actually homeless.)
"Im sorry to disturb your day but if you can afford to give me some money blah blah" Well you can obviously afford a train ticket.
Didn`t most of you notice that they AND their dogs all seemed fairly well-fed?
And in the second image, the blur was photoshopped in?
And in the third image, the girl on the left is wearing jewelry, a bow tie, and a BOWLER HAT?
With a couple of exceptions, these seem to me to be pretty much staged.
My guess is a photographer with a bunch of hippie friends who did a shoot romanticizing the "hobo" lifestyle.
I mean, come on... the last shot with the dead possum? These kids were nowhere NEAR the point where a gutted possum would be dinner.
The last picture was MESSED UP
I`d do it for a week or two.
Poor people; that made me feel sad.
and yet one of the girls could afford nail varnish?
If they honestly have those things, then they shouldn`t have to live the way they do, unless they choose to. Pawn off the trivial items, buy a decent set of clothes, go for a job interview.
At first I pitied them. Then I was pleased for clearly being a superior person. Then I pitied them again. Then I felt sorry. Then I saw the last picture and was disgusted.
So now I dont really give a damn about what happens.
the only thing i dont like when i see those people is that many of them are drug addicts.. and some have offered me a bag of food they got from the jesus house for a bottle of vodka once.
It`s usually associated with punk rock squatter types.
