    Can I just say something? There is no such thing as GLOBAL WARMING, ya places are getting warmer. But this has been the coldest year since the eighties, where I live we had temperatures that dropped to -53 degrees Celsius, thats about 63 degrees Fahrenheit. And no, thats not warm for Canada, it usually will only drop to minus twentyfive-thirty

    Umm... -53 degrees Celius is not equal to 63 degrees Fahrenheit...

    F = 1.8C+32
    F = 1.8x-53+32
    F = -50.2+32
    F = -18.2 degrees F

    I think you got something wrong...

    Nudism is such a great idea. Imagine firstly how much money individuals would save, and secondly how much money and labor industry would save. So much money spent each year for the sake of embarrassment. If ever I founded my own civilization, clothing would be universally optional.

    Hmm...Overmann has a point, but I don`t think it will work it today`s society, at least not for a very long time. In an ideal world, nudism would be great. However, because of most peoples` fear of their own bodies being revealed and other the sight of other peoples` bodies, it is(at least, as of now) a highly unlikely theory. Something that I personally am interested in is making my own clothing, the way Gandhi(the real one) did. It saves so much more money, and his clothes were probably much more comfortable anyway.

    I`ll just repeat what Red5TheFinn said, there is no such thing as global warming!!!

    Just like in the 70`s there was no such thing as `the second ice age`.

    It`s a well known fact that the earth heats up, and cools down periodically.
    .4% of the air in the atmosphere is carbon dioxide. Whoopie. Trying to get rid of that .4% is like trying to get a member of PETA to eat an animal.

    gandhi172, I don`t think it`s fear so much as it is embarrassment. Fear of embarrassment, perhaps. Hmm. This societal dependency on clothes to me seems like a globally unacknowledged neurosis. Fine, I understand why some people don`t want to be seen naked, but why is it *illegal* for *me* to go sans vêtements?

    Oh, and my picture is of Anthony Hopkins as Lecter. I`ve not cared much for Nicholson as an actor, personally.

    Insane hippie protests aren`t insane hippie protes anymore if you`re wearing clothing?

    Overmann: Ever tried walking through vegetation, eating very hot food, falling hard and sliding on concrete without clothing on?

    Clothing is useful, its not all about staying warm or being embarassed about being naked.

    Yea, this is the biggest waste of protesting ever. There is really nothing they can do! They aren`t stopping some evil corporation, they aren`t raising funds to actually come up with a way to do anything. They are laying on ice, and slowing waiting to slip into hypothermia and die. I wonder how many of them got frost bite.

    For one, it is not necessary in today`s world for the average person to walk through any harmful vegetation. Two, anyone who can`t eat food (regardless the temperature) without spilling some on oneself deserves whatever 2nd degree burns one receives. Three, clothing only enables one to fall from a differentially greater height than one without clothing. Four ...who the f*ck in their right mind slides on concrete? Just keep an eye out for where the f*ck you`re going and it shouldn`t be a problem. Finally...

    "Clothing is useful, its not all about staying warm or being embarassed about being naked."

    Okay, but why is it *illegal* for me to go without them? Argue the finer faculties of clothing if you wish, but none of them justify enforcing clothing in the public arena.

    Global Warming is happening at a gicantic rate never before seen on earth at any time in it`s history due to the life altering activities of man. IT IS NOT A CYCLE LIKE THE PSUEDOSCIENTISTS WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE. Take a decent environmental science class and argue it out w/ them if you don`t agree. Conservatives are going to have to recognize this crisis or live with a vastly changed earth in the near future.

    If there`s no global warming, then why has new england had only 2-3 snow falls these past 4 winters and even then, they were mild. The rest was poring rain and temperatures even reached 50 degrees one day in January!

    10 years ago there were at least 20 decent falls of snow, although the ground still melted a few days after each one.

    Even then, back in the 50`s and 60`s in the same areas, there was cold winters with lots of snow and the snow didn`t melt till April.

    I`m not an environmental activist, but believing global warming is a "Cycle" or a myth is bull. There`s never been rain and 50 degree weather in these parts of the world ever and it doesn`t take a meteorologist or a scientist to realize that`s abnormal and caused by too much polution.

    ^^I was using that as an aprox number, it still wasn`t a lot of snow. As a matter of fact, from late Dec to mid Jan this year, It was just rain. When we actually did get snow, it melted away or turned to ice by mid day. Compared to 1996 when in Early Jan we got nearly 10 inches. If that happened today, we`d get flooding.

    I think this is beautiful. No, it definitely won`t be remembered as a very effective protest, but if they did take to the streets with their posters and signs and nakedness, you all wouldn`t be able to stop you`re whining and hatred, so I don`t understand why you all are complaining about their protesting and saying they should die when they`re all the way in the glaciers. I mean, why does it make you so angry that they`re nude in nature, away from the public view? It was more of a photography project anyway.
