Oh great. Another opinion list pretending to be fact. And you think I have the attention span to go through all these? I`m sure there are some great ones in there - but then you can`t get it wrong 100 times.

Gibson - I think that they were trying to stear away from the more common, overly hyped songs.

Out of all the "top *insert number here*" i have to agree. Plus theres like 495809680485.5555555 songs so of course they will leave out a lot.

White Stripes and U2 on the top 25?
    NO WAY!!!!

Slayer is missing, AC/DC should be WAY
    higher, Lynyrd Skynyrd on 64?
    Sex Pistols on 43
The Beatles in like 325 positions(Overated)
Guns n` Roses in 63? Are you serius?
Slash is one of the top 10!!!
Michael Jackson in 81? I don`t even like
    him, but should be higher

I`ll call this "THE BIGGEST FAIL"

there is no "through the fire and flames" because the band cant play it. also why is there no Pantera, a song like floods is way better than any of those, and i noticed most of the songs there have guitar parts that are the same as the vocal part

100 greatest? I don`t think so! Some of them were great but the White Stripes? Sublime? John Mayer? Phish? What the hell? Also there were some great bands but they didn`t pick the best guitar songs.

First off, George Harrison isn`t over-rated, iceblack. You probably think all the Beatles songs are pop.

However, I didn`t read through the whole list, & I find it stupid how Hard Day`s Night is the first Beatles song on there. If they want to pick a good one with better guitar, why not try I Feel Fine or Day Tripper.

Seven Nation Army is just a catchy song. And I`m not surprised the Pumpkins are up there, because the guitars in all of their songs sound amazing. Although Cherub Rock would have been a better choice than Bullet With Butterfly Wings.

Im pretty sure Rolling Stones know what they are talking about.

This list isnt based just on how awesome the playing is.. Stuff like influence, tone and style come into it. Even the most simple riff (teen spirit, seven nation army) can sound awesome..

I CAN`T BELIEVE THAT MetallicA only got in with Master OF Puppets. That`s just bs. There are so many other great songs they have, that could replace half the songs on the list.
SoTW isn`t on there? Shenanigans. If riffs is what they are rating, this song should be in the top 20. Iron man as well.
Only Sweet Child O` Mine? jeezus, same remark as MetallicA.
Killing in the Name as the RaTM song? Alright, I declare bullshiz. At least 20 of the first 50 songs were in Guitar Hero in some shape or form.
No Police Songs? They had very catchy songs.
Freebird at 64th? I realize it is overrated, but the solo is 4 minutes long and is pure insanity. Should be in the top 20.
Why isn`t All along the Watchtower on there? Someone explain to me.
