I completely agree with LadyMorgue, I was actually going to say the exact same thing.

    Yoda looks so craptastic.

LoL Yeah Yoda DOES look craptastic and they really SHOULD have just used real actors if they were going to make this movie.

Why would they waste money on real actors? They`re already spending enough on the 100 episodes for next year.

I don`t believe I`d watch this, either. Reminds me of the animation series they had on cartoon network awhile back.

The only reason they are releasing this is because they want to sell more toys to 4-12 year old age group. This one`s for the kiddies. I`ll will probably go and see it anyway though.

I`m sorry, but I don`t want to see this now. I`m so tired of Lucas back-tracking and saying "Oh, hey, and even though we never mentioned this in the previous 6 films we made... this happened!" I mean, Jabba the Hutts son is kidnapped? Spare me.

And on top of that, I hate watching giant battles between a bunch of no-name troops and a bunch of no-name droids I just don`t care about. Yeah, we get it, it`s a big battle... but I don`t care about any of the people in it. Give me some one on one fights with characters that actually mean something.

I`m a big Star Wars fan but I`m sorry I wont be seeing this one - Genndy Tartakovsky did a great job with Clone Wars a few years back and then was completely shunned for this - feels utterly wrong to me.

To be honest I do wish they would release another movie, call it star Wars 3.5 "The reign of an empire". And have it feature Darth Vader Terrorizing the Galaxy, causing the establishment of the Rebellion. In my opinion that is what Episode 3 lacked, I wanted more action from darth Vader.

yeah, i just watched the clone wars cartoons and they were quite good. so much you can do with animation that can`t be done with real actors.

and sorry to say this, but its not aimed at kids, thats like saying that superman doomsday was aimed at kids. there is no character lead in, they assume you know who everyone is. if it was drawn like the cartoon and/or release to DVD, i think it would do well, but to have it release in theaters...

and since this thread is full of nerds, anyone know when the next Harry Potter is to be released?

    @ randy

Your stupid, there are reasons for big battles like that, think about it, star wars is pretty much a struggle against the empire, ob-drating-viously there are going to be big battles. Its not like star wars is full of big battle scenes. If you saw a WW2 or WW1 movie and there were no big battles then it would be pretty useless wouldnt it?

    @ XBoxman

I understand there`s a "need" to have big battles during a war... but when none of the leading characters are involved and all you see is...

*clone trooper 1 shooting at droid trooper 2*

*Droid trooper 2 fires back at clone trooper 1*

    *big explosion*

*Droid trooper 2 shoots clone trooper 1 dead*

*a drop ship of clone troopers lands and a hundred more clone troopers bail out and shoot droid trooper 2 dead*

and all for the sake of having a "big battle", , is a waste. Do you want to know why the original movies did so well? Because they didn`t have big "epic` battles unless key characters were in them and they served a purpose. But with this, all you could see were huge battlefields of clone troopers and droids duking it out with big explosions. Personally, I enjoy character development and story compared to a giant group of people, I don`t care about, in a brawl. But hell, if you want to watch a big stupid fight scene that has no dramat

I said Georges Lucas lost it after seeing Episode 1... But I heard he took ALL criticism into effect and made an awesome Episode 2...alas...he only shut Jar Jar the "f" up. Episode 3 was supposed to be really smart and bind all 6 movies into one awesome tale... Balls... The last 10 minutes ruined the entire series.

so I boycotted ANYTHING Georges Lucas, except the original unaltered versions of episodes 4,5 and 6. So I was iffy about going to see Indiana Jones 4 because Georges Lucas was involved...but Spielberg, has never let me down. From Shindler`s List to the Animaniacs to I figured he would be able to keep Indiana Jones awesome and fun.

Damn it Georges you fat useless retarded actually managed to render an Indiana Jones movie into the stupidest movie I have ever seen....stupider even than Jay and Silent Bob..

So Clone Wars cartoon? Please do me and about 10 million Star Wars fans a favor and die already, you overpaid greedy sack of f*ck

Let it be know, I adore Jay and Silent Bob.

But it is regarded as so ridiculously stupid, that it`s funny...despite the fact 90% of the movie is d1ck and fart jokes...who would pay to see that? *looks at the camera*

I also haven`t boycotted the Original first 3 Indiana Jones...but I think Georges Lucas hadn`t gotten retarded over CGI at that point considering Pixar wasn`t even invented yet, therefore he didn`t have much to do with the movies.

While this movie/mini series is nothing more than a jumping off point for the new TV cartoon and super Star Wars nerds i.e. me. I think it looks pretty good. We`ll get to learn about Ankakins apprentice and much more about Asaj Ventress as well as more of what happened in the Clone Wars.

Jeeesus. More wanking. Has anyone ever read a Star Wars "novel"? If not, here`s a brief synopsis:

Luke/R2/Lando/Leia`s kids in the past/future/during/in-between stumble upon something disturbing in the Force, goes to investigate, has improbable adventure and/or love story, kicks ass, end. And they do it in total secrecy, since nothing is ever mentioned about it in any of the movies.

I kinda got that vibe from watching this.

if you ask the series isnt dead and has made millions more of fans who want more star wars however i think george should MAKE UP NEW CHARACTERS its getting boring seeing the same people doing the same thing over again also hire a cgi company such as pixar or dreamworks to, at the very least help with the movie IF you absoluteley cant do it in live action. another thing is that the arsenal of weapons for the star wars galaxy needs to be upgraded...... thats it argument ended

The whole point to the Clone War series was to tell what happened in between the actual movies... it looks like they just decided to combine them and make them more mainstream.
