Fire in the Hole Boys: Funny or Stupid?

Submitted by: fancylad 8 years ago

The teens that threw drinks into fast food drive-thru windows are now in trouble with the law. Are they sincere?

windows?" I think it would have been fitting to make them work for free at a fast food restaurant and on their name tags put "Fire in the hole" and throw them to the lions (or in this case the customers).

They can wipe their tears when mommy comes and picks them up in the Escalade.

corporate position and make $90K a year. Better yet, she could just go on welfare so your parents` tax dollars subsidize her income and she can be the one to throw drinks at you little snots when her paycheck from the government comes in. Or would the irony of that be beyond the comprehension of your puerile minds? 4) "She should go back to school and get a real job". What if she`s a single mother trying to keep a roof over her head and food on the table? Where is she going to find the $3,000 to $5,000 a year to pay for said education while paying for rent/mortgage, utilities, transportation, food, etc.? Not to mention, if she works full time she`ll have to take evening classes, meaning she`ll need a sitter for her kids in addition to all the aforementioned expenditures. 5) "She`s fat" Non sequitor.

Finally, that apology video was a farce. That plus community service? "Oh no, you mean we`ll be too busy picking up garbage in parks to prank drive-thru

It amazes me how many people are posting such assanine comments. 1) "It was just a soda, get over it". You`re working a job that you hate, making minimum wage, which the government taxes, so you can pay your bills, and two little sh.its decide to throw a cup of soda on you. Now add to your miserable 8-hour shift that your shirt is soaked and sticky. 2) "Get my order right and I`ll say thank you". Restaurants aren`t automated, people work there; and people can make mistakes. And what happens when you find out that you were given the wrong order? You go back, they give you your order, aplogize, and give you a pie or something. And for that matter, if you`re so petty that you can`t stand someone getting your order wrong, f.uck off and go make it yourself. 3) "She should stop complaining and get a real job". Positively brilliant! You should be career councilors. I`m sure she can just dust off her double phD/pullitzer prize resume and catapult to a

if it had been me? Damn right I would have done exactly what she`s done. Looking at it we can say "oh sure, it was just a drink" but when you`re in that moment, how do you know it`s not a bottle of gas with a lit rag stuffed in it? How do you know it`s not a knife? When it happens that fast, you don`t have time to react.

wanna know how we would know?
cause we just handed it to them dumbass

this video disgusts me. it pissed me off how they kept calling her a "victim". the lady who was assaulted, tortured and raped for 19 hours straight was a victim this fat drat is not.

Its her own fault for being so dumb that she is unable to get a job anywhere else besides a fast food joint, maybe if she payed any attention in highschool and wasn`t so busy eating, she would have gotten a REAL job.

When she said that she believed that she was so scared that she "didnt think she could work at a drive-thru again" i just laughed. I suppose if she cant work at a drive thru then and she incapable of getting another job then she`s outa luck.

and the bias of the host was laughable. the point of journalism is to be fair and unbiased.

and finally, if she was so embarrassed by the vide why the hell did she decide to go on national television to talk about it?

we ever someone harassed me i spat in their drink ect... they forget that we are making their food, and after a 14 hour shift we dont wanna hear you smart arse comments.

"get my order right and i`ll say thank you"

find a job that doesnt involve your body being used as a big gaping dump.

At least she has a job. I`m sure you little sh.its that are laughing at her will probably work in fast food someday and thank God someone gave your worthless asses a job.

My examples of what it could have been are simply that: Examples.

Furthermore, just because THIS time it happened to JUST be the soda she handed them doesn`t mean it`s going to be that way the NEXT time and it doesn`t mean that people may or may not graduate to more heinous items all for the name of a "prank".

You go to work because you HAVE to, not necessarily because you WANT to and no one has the right to assault you when you are simply doing your job.

If you think fast food workers have it easy, maybe some of you should work their jobs for a month. People are merely doing what they have to to get paid just like you or me. It`s absolutely asinine to harass and assault them and makes you look incredibly childish.

apology is worthless. Send the kids to jail, that will teach them a lesson. A Internet apology is only useful for a internet insult. A legal assault (which is what this would be) dictates a legal response (which should be jail time) PLUS a civil suit.

A lot of people are talking like it`s her fault because she works at a fast food restaurant. People don`t work at Taco Bell of McDonald`s because they didn`t want the $100,000/year office job. The woman is dusting her butt trying to make a living so she can pay her bills and feed her kids. These punks should go to jail, not juvenile detention, Jail. They looked old enough to be tried for assault in an adult court.

the woman was not upset about someone (only) throwing soda into her face. believe me, there are far worst `customers` out there, that treat people in jobs like that like crap and they have to live with that every single day.

posting the video on youtube was what got them in trouble... and they do deserve to be punished.

(even though she did piss me off with her "oh, i`m so traumatized..." )

For those that are saying "It`s no big deal", or "It`s just a soda" you`re WRONG. It is assault, plain and simple. The last time I checked, it was still a misdemeanor at the very least. The victim in these instances is working at a friggin` drive-thru window for cryin` out loud. Doesn`t their life already suck enough without upper or middle-class kids playing STUPID pranks like this.

I say this, because even though I am in the military, and do not work at a drive-thru, if someone was to pull this kind of stunt on me (say, throw something through the window of my truck) I am that guy that will chase you down and kick the living crap out of you, not take you to court.

The morons in the video got off lucky.

Someone is gonna pull this stunt on a sista who`s having a bad day. I can`t WAIT to see THAT video...

bad things happen to people all the time
if that kinda thing is what youre worried about in life then you have a hard life ahead of you

even if the kids apologized do you honestly think they would of meant it?
hell no they wouldnt of

ive worked at fast food and if this had happened i woulda got the hell over it because theres probably way worse things happening to other people and yet i dont see them complaining about it

not to sound anti patriotic but anymore americans just love to complain and act like their lives are so hard and devistating

deal with your crap job or get smart and find a new one

I think she`s right to a point. For the people saying "Stop your bitchin`, Lady!" you`ve got to keep in mind that she was filmed in an embarrassing situation, viewed by millions, and people were recognizing her as "that gal who had the cup full of soda thrown in her face, ha ha ha!" It wasn`t just a "ha ha, nice prank!" then moved on, it`s just down-right degrading and embarrassing.

But the gal worrying that "now she`s going to have to be looking at the makes, models and license plates cars, and at the passengers inside, and inside the vehicles themselves if she ever works at a place like that again!"... shouldn`t she be doing that anyway? I mean, you`re leaning out of a window in a compromising position without knowing who you`re serving... I`d be watching for a gun or knife or something with all the psychos and crap out in the world. But, that`s me.

..I absolutley adore Marchhare`s observation.
Seriously, it`s not the soda, it`s the principle behind the soda. Yeah, she`ll get over it, but that is completely disrepectful either way. It`s like spitting in someone`s face.
They`ll get over the fact, go wash their face, but it`s still considered one of the worst things a person can do to so distaste.

So don`t be idiotic, yeah, it`s only a soda, but it shows no respect whatsoever. Get off your high horse and think about things in perspective once in awhile.

I like how most of the people who say get over it are in the 13-18 range. People need to be called on their actions, no matter what. It`s this "get over it" or "deal with it" attitude that leads to people not wanting to do anything in other situations (like the ones we have seen about people not wanting to help when someone is attacked. I mean are you seriously telling me that if i showed up at your work, and threw your mop in your face.. you would just laugh? Please every one of you would call the cops for assault then try to sue.

I worked at a car wash for about a year and once a guy got so pissy he ended up in a fist fight with a guy who was trying to get him to calm down and lay off me. I may get annoyed with cashiers but I keep it inside until I can complain about it later to someone else. This isn’t funny it shows these kids are retards that don’t know how to respect anyone. She hands the drink to him, he throws it back. It`s not gonna become a knife all of a sudden. Think about things. If someone threw a drink on you, you might get grumpy, then go wash your clothes. Don`t dwell on it. If you`re going to dwell on anything, it should be the fact that you`re a fat single mother working at Mcdonalds.

Also, 150$ (I am not even kidding) to whoever waits outside "The today Show" in a car, for Matt Lauer and f*cking throws a drink in his face and posts it on YouTube. I am not even close to kidding. How the f*ck dare he start accusing that lawyer and those 2 boys of doing what it is every single teenager does? I can honestly say, I have worked at a fast food, and on a night off, with some friends, attacked someone I worked with in that same fashion (without screaming Fire in the Hole, because it hadn`t been invented yet)

Also, Fire in the hole, I believe, came from a CKY video...it`s the first instance of it ever happening I can recall, although it might have been around prior. dunno.

Its not one single person`s fault. you have different people working different areas in a resuraunt, if one persons effs up the whole crew gets blamed.
not everyone is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and unless you`ve ever worked in a fast food place i dont think you have the right to talk. its not as easy as it may look. okay im not trying to start fights. kdone.

If it were me, I would have been drating pissed off. People working in fast food aren`t doing it because they want to. They go to work everyday because they have too. The last thing they need is people messing with them. I mean honestly. Put yourself in that girl`s place. You wouldn`t be pissed off if someone threw a damn soda in your face? Especially some of those larger ones. Then you have to either finish the shift covered in sticky soda, or find someone to cover for you and beg the manager for a spare uniform, or time to go home and change, which would be taken out of your already meager pay.

Is it so hard to be nice to the drive thru people? Say please and thank you? This isn`t funny, it`s retarded.

Okay, so, I work in a fast food resturaunt (i know its not cool or anything im just saying thats where i work.) and every single day you have to deal with idiots thinking its hilarious to mess with you in the most ridiculous ways. I`ve gotten yelled at before because i gave a guy too MANY ketchups, he then preceeded to walk across the parking lot telling people that the girl at the window was an idiot and probably didn`t graduate highschool. (for the record i totally did lol)
If this had happened to me i definitley would have kicked some ass. I do agree that she`s making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. I`d be pissed about it but probably wouldn`t call the cops unless it happened more than once.
its just all about being respectful of other people, which a lot of people are not.

I agree with Matt; I find it rather insane that these 2 boys are protected due to the fact they`re 15 and 16 but SHE`S not protected from the embarrassment and humiliation that video has brought. Another example of criminals having more rights than their victims.

Posting the video on youtube has only prolonged this woman`s embarrassment at the issue. Those 2 boys should be equally, publically, embarassed; not stand with their backs to the camera.

Juveniles or not.

What a fat minger. Chill the drat out, I`m sure it`s not the first time that you`ve been covered in soda you inaccuracy of a human. I`m pretty sure that Brandon Dicamillo started this in one of the CKY films.

I want to believe that they`re sincere. I kind of think Jessica overreacted a bit. Not that I`d be perfectly fine after that at all, or I`d forgive them, but it seems like it shouldn`t like.. permanently scar her that much.

Having them be tried as juveniles I think is best, not adults.

It`s ridiculous to think that Youtube can control their entire video collection.

At least she forgives them and is willing to give them a second chance.

...And that`s my opinion. :D
