With record highs of teen pregnancy, Britain is becoming home to a new type of grandma. Do we call them GILFs?

You guy`s are all non-nice individuals. These woman didn`t plan to have babies so young (cept the one family) and I think they are doing alright. Where I am from I see teen pregnancies all the time but none can take care of their kids and they often end up malnourished, abandoned, etc.

Yeah but why do we have to watch 56 minutes of this? I now I didn`t, know why? Because I got the point from the first 30 seconds of this crap.

Oh god, Ohnjaynb, that was an...uncomfortable line.

I`m just glad my mum isn`t a bleached haired slapper with an inch of foundation on.

I know there are probably some decent teenage mums out there, but the scumbags seem to be the vast majority.
And sex-ed is definitely not the problem. EVERYONE that has ever been through the school system here will know all about birth control.

omg, just fast forward to 28:40 and watch until the 30 minute mark. Best line of the entire video is at 29:17.

This isn`t some amazingly new thing. Think of times past when the average age expectancy was 30 or so. Those girls had to have kids early on so that maybe the kid could finish childhood before they, you know, die. So, yeah it`s not the most unnatural thing.

As long as they accept the responsibility and take the motherhood seriously...

Huh,15 for a baby is just weird. The teenage mothers at that age are just sluts. And the music was unfitting, and annoying

It`s not a problem if these girls can care for their kids.

Some people just don`t have the sense to get that people can have a child in their teens and be fine.

If you can care for that child and want to have it then why shouldn`t you?
Why is it that people are telling teens to use birth control where as not someone older? What makes them more capable then a teen? Nothing.

The girls in this video give a bad name to woman who have babies at a young age.
No, we don`t all party, hand our kids to our parents, live in slums, have no money etc etc etc.. The media portrays it in that way to make it look awful. Yes, it is young to have a child, thats it. If you`re not capable, you shouldn`t have One at any age.

Having a child at a young age shows no lack of intellect if you`re able to fully care for it.

having a baby at 20 is ok but still young, but having one when your 15 is just being a slut really unless it was like rape or somthing awful like that but other then that really keep your legs closed till your 17 at the very least.

Kisato, birth control fails.
If you were mature, you would also comprehend this.

I had my daughter at Seventeen, and I`m well beyond my years.
I`m able to care for her the exact same way someone in their 30`s would. So tell me the logic in your reasoning, please I`d love to have some.
If maturity comes with age, then why do I see people in their late 30`s still acting like school kids? Where as I`m able to have a stable, loving home for my family and not act like an idiot.
I fail to see your validity.

Notice how they all are not with the fathers and have to depend almost fully on their moms to get by. Sheesh- keep it in your pants and either sink or swim in life without your parents holding your hand in it all.

Oh and the parts about how older parents are worse parents than young teens one- oh yeah dont get me started there.

all these "women" should have been sterilized at birth to prevent this. This is what free healthcare and ignorance does to you.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes and your ignorance is VERY apparent. Free healthcare has feck all to do with teen pregnancys so lets get that stupid little statement out of the way. Ignorance also has feck all to do with. These kids are not dumb. they know the consequnce of sex and we have a decenct sex ed program in schools.
The problem is "lack of facilities", boredem, peer pressure, fashion, irresposnisble parenting..etc etc etc but its NOT because we have free healthcare or poor education standards. You`ll find the UK is well ahead of the US on both counts!

How do you people know your mothers age? She has never told me, or will ever tell me. I am assuming I was a mistake considering I was born 10 years after my sister.

Now that we are into this mother/daughter thing. I have a story I`ve wanted to say for a while. I knew this girl who by her sophomore year was already the school slut (in a school of sluts). To give you an idea of what I mean. If you were at a party with her you were guaranteed to get laid. You and your closest 30 friends. Anyway, she had a boyfriend. She cheated on him with this guy. This guy is the school hero. Not only did he sleep with her but also with her mom (he has video evidence if no one believes him). When her boyfriend came to defend her, he said "Shut up or i`ll sleep with YOUR mom", cant say much to that now. What does this have to do at a video, nothing.

They used to do it all the time in the stone age. Then again the life expectancy for a stone age human was barely 30 but still...

Seriously though, perhaps the increase of teenage pregnancies could be linked to the amount of sex in the media?

kairobert... not really true. the younger the girl the much greater chance the baby will have complications in childbirth and/or malutrition. thats why spartan women couldnt have babies till they were like 20.

all these "women" should have been sterilized at birth to prevent this. This is what free healthcare and ignorance does to you. Kids under 18 should have the babies taken away because they obviously aren`t mature enough or intelligent enough (they went and got preggers, right?) to take care of a kid. Think about it. What if they were out all night at the club, come home, and are nursing a hangover, sleeping it off or whatever, and the kid gets hurt? How is that taking care of the kid? Somebody help me on this, because I don`t understand this crap.

If you have a child as a teenager you GIVE UP THE PARTYING AND ACTING LIKE A CHILD. These people disgust me. Spend your free time enjoying your child`s growth and learning. I`m 25 with a 7 month old and I`d rather be playing with her than going to some immature little club.

30 year olds with kids, AND GRANDKIDS, going to teen/party clubs makes me sick.

Grow up and be responsible.

/rant lol

Northerners... hardly surprising
----------------------------------------------------

Yeah..how bizzar the highest concentration is in London though! Go figure!

Anyway...I`m 33 and I know a 36yr old Granny. She had a kid at 18 and her son + his girlfriend just had a kid. Whilst the idea of being a grandad at 36 makes my skin crawl this whole teen pregnancy thing is nothing new. I`d like to say its a waste of your life but thats not true either as I know 2 couples who had kids at 17 yet now have their own small companys...though I`m pretty sure their kids would get strung up if they made the same mistake.

This is life people. It happens..deal with it!

Your a fool genetics isn`t affected by the age of the mother unless they`re very old and even then it`s not genetics it`s other health issues that cause problems.

It just seemed like maybe the sisters (one who had a baby already and the one who was pregnant) where the family thought being a mum at such a young age was a good thing felt that way and wanted children because they wanted to try to reel their own mother back in seeing as she was out partying all the time.

Actually, the older the mum is when she has a baby, the more genetically flawed the baby will be.
Teenage pregnancy is actually good in that manner.

Uuggghh This infuriates me. Not being a fan of kids doesn`t help, too. In my opinion, maturity and responsibility comes with age, and you are not mature and responsible enough to care for a child at such a young age... There are only a very few select people who actually are mature and responsible beyond their years, but they are smart enough not to have kids at 16, 17 years old.

I watch the whole thing, I was bored, evidently being on this site..

I was a teen mom, I`m 20 now with a beautiful Three year old. There`s nothing wrong with it, if you can do it and don`t depend on your parents. It doesn`t ruin your life, it just depends what you`re into. If you like to party and make an ass of yourself and thats what `life` means to you in your younger years, so be it.

I would have never guessed all those woman were grandmas. My mom had me at 25 so she was a average age. Seeing them all party was kind of weird. You can have fun but making out with 21 year olds seemed off to me. lol

And what`s with hardly anyone of them being with the father still? Including the grandmas. 0-o
