pomonium, I have heard of people going through Mexico to the US illegally. I was friends with the son of an illegal immigrant from El Salvador. Besides, it is possible to get a visitor`s visa and just disappear. I`ve also met people who came that way. Either way, they have a tough time of it in the US. If only it wasn`t so hard to get a visa to live (or even visit) here.

I`d take him. Really. He`s so cute, and he probably misses his mother. I`ve always wanted to foster a child, but am doubtful about it considering how troubled some of the kids are.

I think that the mother made a very hard decision to try and give her child a better life. The mother is probably devestated right now, but knows at least her child will be fed and taken care of. In a strange way I hope they don`t find his family right now. I hope they get reunited when he`s older and a citizen...but not now. Otherwise they`ll just be deported, and judging by what she was willing to do for her child, it must have been much worse there.

i used to live in guatemala. i seriously doubt they are illegal immigrants, though. they would have to drive all the way north through mexico.

No facial expressions? Early signs of autism? Or just the fact that he`s been left on his own and is scared.

I see abandonded, neglected, and abused kids every day where I work. It`s heartbreaking.

But I`m blessed that I also get to see a better side of humanity: The foster families, the adoptive families, the Child Protective Services caseworkers, etc. They make a profoundly positive impact on the lives of young kids like this one.

May God bless this young man and all those who help him. "What you do to the least of my brothers you do to me."

This is so sad. But it doesnt really seem like this family really wants him back if they just left him at Wal-Mart. I do hope he finds a PROPER family.

Female 731
I don;t think his family left him there.

Like the video said, maybe he`s been kidnapped from somewhere else. They should check some amber alerts...

..and I guess I should be ashamed of my age bracket. *hangs head*

quite honestly i really really for the kids sake hope they find no family. Yea its sad that a woman was so down on her luck that she had to abandond her toddler at walmart, but it sounds like she was (is?) an illegal, they find her, both her and the boy are going back to guatamala and they will be in for the worst.
