Didn`t you know? Ever since the death of Heath Ledger, they`ve hired Fancylad to fill in every role. It`s expected to be the movie of the millennium.

If only we could get AKappy to fill in as the penguin in upcoming movies.. hell, we could even get dainty as Poison Ivy.

Mhe...its weird.. cous I literally just finished watching Batman(1989) and that has to be one of the best films ever made…Tim Burton fully understands the mythos of Batman…
He understands that Batman is the Dark Night. Its just a shame that Batman Begins was a tamed down children’s film… and its a shame that the joker isn’t as menacing in this trailer...all anticipation has just been lost…
The joker should be the most evil, unlovable, badass ever, completely void of emotion and completely heartless...true evil...this version appears too human..

IMO Batman is a no-bulls!t guy, he uses any methods necessary to stop crime, he is violent and dark, he is a troubled guy…he witnessed his parents murder and was helpless to stop it, he is filled with revenge and is mentally unstable. All this is contrary to this is his alter ego, the charismatic Bruce Wane.

If you’ve ever read any Batman comic post 80’s you’ll understandR

Agree with nickyjefferz... I would love to see a truly dark Batman film and a criminal like the Joker is just the one to make it happen.

The thing I keep looking for though is the batmobile... I want a proper one, not the buggy from Batman Begins

Nicky: All the stuff you seem to want out of a batman film is exactly what I`m seeing in Batman Begins and the trailers for Dark Knight. Ledger`s Joker so far creeps me out. He`s way more disturbing than Jack Nicholson`s version.

I like the Burton movies for what they were..the best batman adaptation to this point. But they didn`t get batman. Whe focused too much on the villans.

With Batman Begins, you got the first real character study of Bruce Wayne and his multiple masks...and they actually got the big one..that the Batman isn`t the mask. Bruce Wayne is the mask.

nickyjefferz. there is nothing wrong with Nolans Batman Begins. Best movie ever imo.
I happen to like Burtons Batman as well, but as you said it yourself, it`s a post 80s Batman feel to it.
Nolan captures the newer (for lack of a better word) vision of Batman. I suppose it`s all down to which vision of Batman you preffer. but eitherway, both are good, I just think Nolans is better!

I was going to post that same link Tay-Dor. Much better quality. I was never a huge Batman fan (more of a Marvel guy), but Begins was fantastic and now, I don`t think I`ve ever looked more forward to a movie than this. I never cared much for the Burton films, it was like they took silly ideas and tried to present them with a dark, serious tone that I thought didn`t really work. Didn`t the Penguin have an army of penguins with rocket launchers on their backs?

"Tim Burton fully understands the mythos of Batman…"
    STFU Please.
Correct me if I am wrong, but that is Bat-Kilmer up there no? By far the worst Batman film by Burton.

"Its just a shame that Batman Begins was a tamed down children’s film…"
Batman Begins was way more bad-a$$ than Burton`s comic book-book movie, in which,. the Joker actually is funny and extremely likable. Batman Begins had a scarecrow riding a fire-breathing horse during a mass hallucinogenic attack. Batman 1989 had the Joker pulling a 4-foot pistol out of his pants.

Please get a valid argument before saying 1989 was a darker movie than Batman Begins...

I love both movies, but Begins is BY FAR the darker of the two.

    Batmanners.

Bat-Kilmer (Batman Forever) was directed by Joel Schumacher not Tim Burton. You remember him dont you? He nearly killed the franchise with Batman on Ice (Batman + Robin).

I agree with you that Batmaan Begins Rocks..it`s my fave movie ever...but if your going to sling the phrase "valid argument" about....

I`m sooo excited for this film!!! I love (almost) all of the Batman films thus far. Tim Burton`s are fan freakin tastic, even Batman forever had it`s moments of decency. And Batman Begins was amazing! And you can see Two-Face, for just a second if you pause it at the part where Harvey Dent is in the car with the gun. If you look closely, you can see that his profile is scarred. WOOHOO!!!

"Tim Burton fully understands the mythos of Batman…"

You have GOT to be joking.

The only reason anyone could see his Batman as "dark" is because Burton is in love with the color black.

The latest film was a much more true adaptation. Also, read Frank Miller`s Batman stories.

    Tim Burton. Good lord.

There is no ONE batman mythos. So many different people have taken helm of the story and change so much for each oh there adaptations......Burton based his off a heavy influence of Bob Kane, While Nolan is going heavy on the Frank Miller.

Hi cabbitt - You seem to be really defensive on the subject of Batman. Is he a close personal friend of yours? If he is, then you can tell him from me that I think he`s a pansy.

For your information, I live in the part of Canada where civilized people don`t go around threatening the lives of strangers they meet on the internet. It`s a wonderful place - and we miss you. (Psst, when I say we miss you, what I mean is that we don`t miss you.) <-- That`s whatcha call your basic sarcasm.
