that would have been cool if an airplane mistaked it for a runway, with the flashing lights and all...

Failed. One simultaneous flash woulda worked.

That sucked. They could`ve had the same results with ten people.

If they had disposable cameras, line them up and take the pic that way.. that will be cool... Its easier to achieve, other than the people with digital cameras with flash delay.

I REALLY want a refund on the time i spent watching this video. this is perhaps the most worthless, pointless, waste of fscking time i`ve seen on the internet in at least three years.
and that is an ETERNITY.
SHAME ON whomever posted this.

half the people didn`t even have cameras!

You`re doing it wrong.

I expected something much better too, the camera flashes were way off. Should have taken more time for practice, and made sure EVERYONE was ready.

"The video doesn`t give this justice. I was there and it was awesome."

Yeah you`re right, I didn`t think of that. Things don`t look as cool on camera as they so in real life. If you`ve ever been to the Eiffel Tower when they turned on the flashing lights, and then tried to take a picture of it, you`ll know what I mean. Or if you`ve taken a picture of a sunset.

hmm..if only it were pitch black and they did it all at once. I was expecting a band of light..but o well.

Seemed like a good idea, though in practice rather lame.

Don`t you get to see something just like this except cooler anytime you watch a football game on tv and everyone in the stadium takes pictures at the same time?

They should have had a car drive super fast behind them, which would be their marker to snap the flash and thus creating a "wave".

OR!

Synchronize their watches to whatever time the square says it is...and on a given second, everyone at once.

BUT!

New Yorkers are New Yorkers for a reason... They don`t listen to direction, hence why only 700 people out of 8 million showed up for the lame-in-the-rain-fest.

That sucked pretty badly.

It looked like half of them didn`t have cameras and the people with cameras weren`t listening very well.

That wasn`t that great... I thought it`d be a huge explosion of camera flashes.

Interesting project, though. They might have failed in the execution, but it`s worth another shot. Maybe someone should try it on the Jacques Cartier bridge in Montreal

Solarmew took the words right out of my mouth.

The music tried to make this look successful, but, no, it sucked. I bet it was a high school that did this.

I have a feeling that the difference in each camera`s time to take the picture as well as those certain cameras that flash three or four times before the ACTUAL flash, had a lot to do with this not working out. Cool idea, but not followed through very well.

I had hoped to see a wave of light from one end to the other. The result, however, is not surprising. In any group, there is a percentage of people that are too stupid follow direction or just want to f*uck things up because they think it`s funny.

This is utter poo. I expected what the title says, maybe the flashes happening in sequence like a WAVE or something, not a bunch of camera armed idiots taking snaps at random.

HUGE anticlimax, I was expecting a mexican wave, I didn`t even notice when they did it, just thought it was some accidental discharges 0.o

That wasn`t exactly a wave...just a bunch of random flashes barely noticeable from a distance thanks to the light already on the bridge. FAIL.

Yeah, I think it would have been better if they all went off at the same time :)
