A geek is a geek. Rabid sport fans are just as bad.

He may have had a point, but if he had scrutinized himself for a second as well he would`ve seen that he`s in the exact same position as they are in life... except he doesn`t have anything to hold onto like they do. Ouch.

oh and sports are the prime example of manliness. To forces clashing against one another in a dog eat dog environment. Star wars isnt.

And if you look at most sports fans and star wars fans (as far as males are concerned) one group seems to have a lot of individuals who doesnt go out in the sun.

I thought Cobbs batted .357? Oh well.

Yeah there still is a difference, the reason most men know all these sports stats is because they are living our dreams. We like to see them succeed and we want to know more about them. We also have favorite players so we gain knowledge to compare and defend our players.

Star wars fans are different (and I mean complete geeks, not those who just enjoy the movies. I was a Trekkie but I didnt know that much about them).

And to the people dissing sports, how about celebrities? Everyone seems to always want to know about this scandal and that scandal to bring them down. So in that aspect, sports and star wars geeks atleast dont want to bring people down.

And it is possible to like these things and not waste your life. I for example actually play the sport, but most things in my life are still sports related (emphasis on most not all).

Clearly based on an Onion headline: "Walking Sports Database Mocks Walking Science-Fiction Database." (or something similar) Still, it`s pretty funny...except the "you`ve both wasted your lives!" part. :-(

Focus not on who is who and what is what, focus on why you enjoy it and welcome people of different tastes and celebrate it.

Jay, why does it have to be within the Original Trilogy?

Speculation is that Boba Fett did not die within the Sarlac, but escaped, he did have a jetpack afterall.

If the SW Geek knows SW that much, he would have concidered this hypothesis and ran with it, meaning the events take place after the original Trilogy.

What is more, we do battle against Boba Fett in Jedi Knight III or IV (Outcast or Academy, I don`t remember) so in at least one SW branch off universe, he did survive.

Yeah for obscure unimportant facts! I`ll admit I`ve wondered if Boba Fett would have joined the Bounty hunter`s Guild. then I read "The Mandalorian Armor", "Slave Ship", and "Hard Merchandise". But on other notes Star Wars is Awesome.

"hahaha that is a really good point. i love the geek though he`s so cute."
"But knowing so much about Star Wars is cute, knowing about sports is...boring. =/"
THERE`S HOPE FOR ME AFTER ALL!!

Also, Shadows of the Empire? Pphft. Star Wars Battlefront II`s where it`s at.
And if Boba Fett HAD opened a Bounty Hunter Training Facility on the ice planet Hoth, he would have died when the Imperials landed, meaning Vader would have killed Han Solo rather than freeze him in Carbonite.
Either he would have died, or he would have lived, but never trust the Imperials again, also meaning Han would have died.

I have been saying this for a long time, I`m glad someone else notices it as well. When someone starts rattling off some players stats from the 80`s it is not cool, they are nerds in the same.
