That`s pretty cool but like someone already said, why not just get a tattoo? It would be the same idea.
That must have hurt like no other...

How did she wear a shirt after that? O.o

This is NOT tattooing.

A tattoo is ink placed into the dermis layer of the skin.

Scarification removes the dermis layer with the desired effect being a scar.

Injecting ink and removing skin - I don`t see any familiarities there.

Ouch I would never do that. Tattoo? Yus of coursh but having my skin peeled off? No thanks. Looked beautiful at the end though. :]]

Beautiful <3

I`ve seen a girl who had scarification done on her side. Cherry blossoms. It was badass.

Not a process I agree with though. =/

that would majorly sting if water got on it.

Why don`t you just get a tattoo with red ink? But cool result i guess. Not worth it tho. Wow, imagine sleeping on that the first night.

What was the point? I mean, not only did you cut your skin off, but you made a tattoo of drating bamboo. idiot.

I`ve only been an actual member for a few days, but even I know this is a repost.
But it`s still gross all the same.

Okay, wow. That`s seriously amateur stuff. As far as cicatrization goes, that really isn`t very professonally or well done. It`s not for everyone, to be sure, but it has the capacity to be just as attractive as tattooing or piercing.

it looks cool....but so many thoughts...can you imagine what the healing process must have been like...way worse than a tattoo i think....or if it became infected since its pretty much just a open sore...gross

That was vile!

I could never do that, it`s so freaky. The finished product looks amazing on her though. Sometimes they don`t look very good and they turn really pale and you can barely see them, which is a waste.

I really wasn`t grossed out by the skin scrapings, personally. I have high pain tolerance, but I`d never do anything like that to my body. I`m all for it, if it`s your thing, though.

Wow. It looked pretty nice in the end, but I`m a weenie when it comes to pain. I might be able to do it if they knock me out beforehand!
Wow. I was eating beef jerky right when I saw the skin peices....yummy. Makes me wanna pick them up, sew them together, and make some sort of leather from it. (After slapping people with them to gross them out, of course.)

If you don`t understand why, go to www.bmezine.com and read up. It`s a completely different lifestyle than most people are used to. Body modification is a pretty huge community. It kind of makes me sad to think that people just don`t "get it".

just imagining the pain.. *shudder*

That looks SERIOUSLY painful...but the result strangely hot. Maybe because I`m seriously impressed by anyone who would be able to go through that. I mean even a regular tattoo is supposed to hurt quite a lot.
That said, I have a MAJOR dislike of needles - maybe I`d prefer this?

AAARG!! I can just imagine how painful that must have been!! I mean, peeling the skin off a living person was used as a torture method in some cultures, and it was pretty efficient I heard. I guess if she can deal with this, she can withstand pretty much anything else!!

"Seriously, those skin slices reminded me of bacon. Fry them in a pan and you`d probably never know the difference."

I would know the difference, but I am curious to try it anyway. Cannibals have said that human flesh tastes most like ham after all

I think this is a repost but meh.

Still gross either way - and far too painful. Tattoos would hurt enough, much less getting skin sliced off. Reminds me of some form of torture or something.

The end result looked good. She had a good artist.

It`s not something that I`d want to do to myself, but scarification has been around for ages and ages. I don`t really see why people would get upset over it, since it was her own choice and all.

ugh, the chucks of skin....not eating anytime soon.
Someone needs to tell her that getting tattoo might have the same effect and be a lot less painful.

I have to admit, though, I like the look of scarification on certain types of skin that lifts as it scars. Anyone remember seeing the guy with the treble clef on his upper arm? Loved that one.
