I think its still fake though. It was too clean. Did anyone see the Kennedy tape? The guy shot from waaay farther away than this guy, and Kennedy`s right side of his head practically blew up!
No blood doesn`t mean that it`s fake.
There, sorry. Comment was a bit too long to contain it. Again, a bit not safe for work, but it shows the damage and side effects that come with shooting yourself in the head at point blank.
Please notice that NOTHING happens. No brains fly, no, his skull does not blow up. There you go.
elHadji, no, tissue and blood does not have to fly for it to be real. While yes, at point blank it is more likely that it would, gunshot wounds to the head do not usually blow out the skull, regardless of distance. Common aftermath is blood drainage from the bullet wound, ears, nose, mouth, or eyes, but brain tissue does not go flying, chunks of skull does not come out, nothing.
People are far too accustomed to how Hollywood and special effects make things like this seem. Most people wouldn`t expect someone to be dead when nothing really goes wrong, i.e brain and skull flying, so it has to be doctored and enhanced to bring out the terror factor. Real gunshot suicide generally are NOT messy unless it`s a shotgun or something far more devastating. Handguns and small caliber weapons like this? Nothing.
For a good example, check this link, but please be warned it`s a little not safe for work.
Also, all revolvers (even something as small as a .22) smoke from around the cylinder when fired (as there is a small gap). That was not present in the film.
Doubtful, at point blank range I can hardly imagine it not just splitting through the bone.
No, there are some bullets that don`t fly through other side of the skull, so they keep bouncing around in your head.
