Maybe I`m hallucinating, but did the first part of his lovely composition sound like some other song? Of course not the lyrics, but the melody. <shrug> Maybe it`s a lingering memory of an alternate reality that was narrowly avoided by NOT creating a bizarre new language.

Kinda sounds like Hamster Dance, so I guess he wasn`t that far off.

I used to love to watch Look Around You it took the piss right out of tomorrows world! Classic comedy, but not as good as red dwarf.

Guys, it`s from a brilliant show called "Look Around You." Check into it. Get involved. Satire about the `70s and `80s. Duh.

I kind of guessed it was fake by the fact Peter Serafinowicz would have been about 17 when that was meant to have been produced, and it wasn`t particularly funny either

Show is called "Look Around You." 2 series, both of which are golden shining orbs of comedy.

Best bit. "Rap Music"

Full sketch.

SILLY ME, I underestimated the speed of the Internet yet again - there already IS a full-length remixed version on YouTube. Fake or not, its still catchy in a weird sort of way.

And BTW, I beat him to the fact that we would all be speaking a weird alien language - check out my profile to see what I mean. ROFL

It`s from a programme called look around you shows in the UK i think, the host is Peter Serafinowicz who was in Shaun of the dead and loads of other stuff.
The programme its from is ripping it out of programmes like tomorrows world. Its actually a quality programme.

I`d have to say that was pretty spot-on... but yes, it was a fake and I could recognize the actors in the bit... the host played the uptight roommate on Shaun of the Dead, I believe?

^Lionhart, seems they were kinda hoping for video phones, huh?

That music seemed spot on for me. Too bad it was a fake.

...

I knew it was fake when I saw it. I`ve seen too many 70`s era game shows and listen to too much music from that time to be able to identify the lack of wear (static) on the film and the slight inaccuracies in their clothing. It didn`t have that 70`s feel to me, ya know?

If you`re in a secondhand bookstore and see any Reader`s Digests from 1979, 89, 99 etc, have a look through them. At the end of every decade Reader`s Digest usually has a double spread about what life will be like for the ordinary people in the coming decade. Yes, they predict that we`re all gonna benefit from amazing inventions as...

1970`s
Video phones
Cars that drive themselves
Spectacles with computers in them
Fully immersive virtual reality games
Cans of food that cook themselves
Fridges that order their own restocking by phone

1980`s
Video phones
Cars that drive themselves
Spectacles with fast computers in them
Fully immersive virtual reality games
Cans of food that cook themselves
Fridges that order their own restocking by telex

1990`s
Video phones
Cars that drive themselves
Contact lenses with computers in them
Fully immersive virtual reality games
Cans of food that microwave themselves
Fridges that order their own res

I dunno, its kind of catchy... a new internet meme in the making?? All we need is someone to extend it, or produce a full length version with appropriate video clip, and his prediction WILL come true... a few years late but correct! Now wouldn`t that be ironic?

at first i was like "wow"

but now i realize that this is actually not to far from the crap that MTV and other sold out crap plays.

It seems that if you have the ability to wail at the top of your voice while slamming your hand on various instruments you have "musical talent".

One things for sure, this guy was MUCH more talented than any rap "artist" out there.
bunch of fags.

Mankind`s ability to look into the future has never been that impressive.
