It looks like he dragged them towards the car`s path in his haste to escape, then took off, and ended up hit himself. I saw no heroic pushing, rather the opposite. And he seemed so fake and uncomfortable accepting their thanks, he probably knows he did nothing.

Yeah
I live right by here
So I`ve seen this video on the news about 489247 times.
Doesn`t look like he purposely saved anyone.

I also think groogles right..
I didnt see any push action.
But I dont really blame the cop for running because thats prolly what alot of normal people would do regardless if theyre a cop or not. I guess its just the survival instinct...although theyre instincts arent very good seeing as how they all ran towards the impact point.... O.o

I`m with Groogle on this one....He didn`t suffer amnesia and yet he doesn`t remember pushing anyone. Even if his actions saved someone, which it doesn`t look like, he had not heroic intentions.

In fact, if they would have all just stayed where they were, no one would have gotten hit. It looks like his attempt to run away is what got him hit, lol.

So he pushes the people towards a moving car then dives in front of the car....if they would have stayed where they were, no one would have been harmed...

I`m not anti-cop but I have to say that this cop in the video is no hero...

He saw a car heading in their direction and started running ( His own words ) and while running away he was looking in the direction he was heading and pushed 2 people to speed his escape.

What I think is that he pushed those 2 people into what he was thinking would be the impact point to save his own life. The irony in the story is that the driver who lost control of his car ( Or tried to kill some bystander... i`m not an expert on this matter ) decided to avoid the bystanders at the last second thus hitting the running cop.

They probably wanted to put the family who got saved to shame for complaining about a cop so they made a news report and forced them to say "thank you for saving our lives" just so they can`t bring the cop to court anymore. Try to complain now that they told everyone that he saved your life.

Maybe i`m just being paranoid again.

Its hard to see exactly what happend in that moment the car struck them, but if you watch he did he started to move up, and thats prob when he pushed the one woman down toward the parked car and out of the way, and the front of the moving car tagged him. I think most people would do that in that situation.. except for ethoma1.. ho would prob have pushed everyone in the way to save her skin...

It seemed to me that he just started running. I didn`t see him do anything heroic...

I`m still convinced that the highway has no risks. Anyway, in his own words, he just "started to run." REAL HERO!
