The E stands for Cell Block E, where Chuck E. Cheese spent most of his adult life for arson and various sex crimes.

My husband and I actually met at the Chuck(E Cheese where that was filmed. (North Richland Hills, Tx - near Ft.Worth). I got to watch that very video for my Chuck E. training. ..Fun times. My husband and I both groan every time our kids ask to go there...

We had to go through "sensitivity training" once because some guy in the chuck e. costume drop kicked a kid in California...

Scott: It`s a pizza restaurant that built itself upward on the rising popularity of arcade games and family entertainment. Mainly CEC focused on younger kids, and updated Chucky whenever they needed to do so. He no longer sports the bowler hat and vest, he now wears skater clothing and a backwards hat.

Not sure if they still have the robotic characters on stage anymore though, haven`t been in one since I was...I dunno...9?

I have been TERRIFIED of Chuck E. Cheese, my whole life. No joke. When I went there, while little kids were hugging him, i would go to the play area/ball pit, so I can avoid interacting with him.

That wasn`t as funny as the training video we had for Wendys when i worked there in highschool. Someone other than me because i don`t really feel like it will have to look into that and post it. It was bad, the guy rapped like he was rejected from Run DMC and had sparkles on the stripes of the wendy`s uniform, sparkle sunglasses, and pretended the burger spatula was a guitar....

Steal presents?

Anyway. As most people have said, i can`t believe i watched all of this. Surreal. Are most costumed people female? Makes more sense to me that they would be.

I work at Chuck E Cheese. I have also seen this video a loooong time ago, it`s better than any of he training videos we have now. Chuck E isn`t allowed to do anything anymoe. We can`t pick up kids, we cant put cake on thir faces(that was the funnest part) and we can`t steal presents or anything anymore (that was fun too). I miss the good old days.

Again... don`t mean to rant or be rude, just some helpful advice for character interactions.

I know, I`m a little over zealous, and this is only a board for a stupid Chuck E. Cheese training vid, but they`re really not a lot of relevant places I can plead the case of the costumed characters! lol :-)

One more tip... If you ever visit Disneyland/World. If you see a character heading inside for a break follow these simple rules:
1. Don`t push you children in front of them, unless you want to see someone in a 50 lb costume fall and crush your child.
2. Don`t try to grab them for "Just one more picture"... that person has already been outside for 30 minutes, and chances are, they`ll be back in another 30. And whatever temp it is outside, it`s at LEAST 10 degrees hotter on the inside. Let the person get a flippin drink of water.
3. The person inside the costume doesn`t care if you came from New York, London, Japan, or Alcatraz. Chances are, they also don`t care if it`s your kid`s birthday. If they had a nickel for every person that attempted to stop them with one of those stories, they wouldn`t have to work at Disney anymore, cause they`d be millionaires. Just come back in another 30 minutes if it`s so important that your child have that oh-so-special picture

Oh this brings back memories. I used to work in the character department at Disneyland. I played about 11 different characters including Chip and Dale, and Winnie the Pooh. It is a lot of fun, for the most part... and I can tell you, Disney holds to a much higher standard than Chuck E. Cheese, lol! I had many great experiences with really cute kids (the kids from the Make A Wish Foundation were always the sweetest). But the heat, teenagers, and PARENTS ARE THE WORST!!! 1. No there is no air conditioning units in the costumes, 2. The costume does not act as a force field... the person inside can feel it if you hit a character, FYI! Sorry to rant there a bit, but I had a tendon that runs from the base of my skull to my clavicle torn, because some jackass teenager thought it would be funny to run up and jump on my neck. Yeah, real funny for me who had to wear a freakin neck brace for 3 months! But, yeah... for the most part it`s a great experience. :-)

lulz, 80`s...

I dunno if they laughed at their training video back then, but ours had the line of:

"The customer doesn`t expect you to be perfect."

Yeah, nice try, where are you posted? Oregon? This is the OC. Wake up! THEY`RE MONSTERS!

Aw, kids are so cute, I wouldn`t mind THAT part if I were to dress up as him.
It`s the fact that I would be afraid of making them cry, and being too hot in that outfit.
Plus I`m probably too short for it. :/

Imz- "This is hilarious.
I wish my training videos were like that. But noooo, they were all like, "don`t get eaten by bears."

Atleast your trainning videos dont include how to defuse a student on a bus with a gun, how to unload all 77 students off your bus in 1 min and 50 sec., or my favorit is....
How to stop at a rail road crossing when a train is comming.

Wow! Chuck e Cheese is real? O.o

I would so do that job, easy cash XD besides, I have three kids and kids are pretty easy to read, the commentator made it sound so hard!

Although today, if kids saw chucky crying, they would kick his ass til he fell over and kicked him some more, me thinks
