that would be interesting if they added solar panels to the the parts so they could catch light from the sides as well as roof gaining more power

Is this for energy efficiency or just decoration? If it`s the latter I doubt it`ll catch on, but it looks pretty neat.

a buncha posts got deleted i assume...and i would like to know the point of this. if it is to spend a large sum of money to make half a bulding look appealing, then...way to waste our money. I could care less if i worked in an office or a cubicle or at home, but what is the point of this. waste of our money...

aye - I dont really see the point of these - would be cool if they just sorta of reacted to the environment (Sun or wind) or something and moved on their own - but being controlled by a computer program? boring.

    "waste of our money..."

Your money I`m sure had nothing to do with it. It was developed by a private company, in Berlin none the less.

I for one thought it was really cool. If they could get them to change colors too, now that would be cool. Of course, any practical applications it might have could just as easily be done with an electronic marquee, and cheaper I`m sure.

Also, one has to wonder how much energy is being used to move those tiles. As awesome as it looks, from a practicality standpoint, they don`t really seem worth it.

Looks awesome, a hundred times more interesting that normal buildings, but I doubt they are practical, they don`t really cover anything, and don`t allow for windows. 10/10 for visual effect, 2/10 for practicality
