easy there coolcrazyguy, Hitler was a Christian (born Catholic). Atheist does not equal facist nazi terrorist. In fact, it is quite far from it. I question the person that doesn`t think there is something a tad weird about praying to a murderous deity for cheaper gas prices.

i would like to know exactly what the problem you filthy IAB`ers have with the people in the video.
If you can tell me a reasonable explination as to why you think what they`re doing is so horrible, then I will personally send you $100.00 in the mail. The answers that have allready been asked and answered here are not valid. And if you don`t like what they`re doing because YOU are an athiest, then you are a facist nazi dictator terrorist communist just like Hitler.

Brought to you by the group that follows a book in which the protagonist is a heinous murder and the antagonist helped Adam and Eve gain knowledge. (Something in which the protagonist subsequently punished them for).

Prayer does nothing. Why don`t they get UP and WORK to make it change?

"so many people are being impacted..."
Ugh... he doesn`t even know a lick of grammar. "Impacted"... seriously? We`re doomed.

Two points:

1) The issue of gas prices is not "too small" or "too unimportant" to pray about. You can pray about ANYTHING. And just because a person is praying about/concerned about gas prices doesn`t mean that they aren`t praying about/concerned about other issues (world poverty, education, food crisis, etc.) as well.

2) It could actually work. I`m not saying that gas prices will one day drop completely out of the blue and for no comprehensible reason. God works through means and their prayers may be answered through an increase in the development of alternative fuels, changes in the economic climate, increased public transportation, or any number of other solutions. But, if nothing else, this type of prayer is at the very least an opportunity for these people to raise publicity about their concerns and about how the increased prices are impacting their lives.

I`m a Christian, but I find this kinda stupid. God won`t do anything about gas prices, we started the mess, we have to fix it ourselves. I guess there`s nothing wrong with praying for cheaper gas, but I seriously doubt praying about it will get anything accomplished. If the church really wanted to make a difference, they should start arranging carpools for their members.

pray in one hand and poo in the other, see which one fills up first

Yes, Americans should be paying $20 per gallon, to cover the true cost of what their government spends on oil interests in the Middle East.

$3.50 is the lowest price in the free world. Almost every first world country pays more.

Perhaps Americans should be thinking of methods to conserve gasoline, instead of building and buying more SUVs?

In Germany gas is about €1.45 per liter at the moment which is about $8.70 per gallon.
Stop complaining about $4 per gallon, that`s really cheap.

Wish our fuel was as cheap as yours`. Here, in the UK, it costs £1.25 per litre for petrol. Which is £4.73 per US gallon, or over $9! So enjoy your cheap fuel.

"3.49? Holy Crap! I live in Alberta (biggest source of oil in North America), and the price goes up and down between .95 and 1.20! Yay, for Canada is making America its b*tch!"

Meaning, since your gas is sold in liters, you`re paying about a buck more for gas than we are. But I guess by now you`re already at the pub celebrating another massive victory for your Canada E-Penis.

Seriously, you act like because they prayed for gas right there, they can`t pray for anything else. Let your brain churn a little before you post; you should have a lot of time to think about it since apparently you walk everywhere to save the world and get some excercise.

"Damn stupid capitalist fascist religious psychotics."

Talk about fascism!

Step back guys, this isn`t about religion, these people are protesting. They`re looking for media attention and they`re getting it. Don`t let the prayer get your anti-religion panties in a bunch! It`s a peaceful protest, let it be.

Oh, and in the Bible it says "ye have not because ye ask not." So that`s probably why they`re doing it... just saying.

*Gasp* Groogle! You offend me and my religion of the Dark Pump. The gas station is a holy sntuary where the servents of men- sent to us bt the Almighty One regain their strengh
There is no `gas." God gave us these `stationbs` to fuel our servants
In fact it says in the Book of Darkened Light:
So he tld his servent Joseth
It is not for man to question me
but thou shalt prey for salvation
for hope
and I shall give you it
But Josetth was blind and pleaded with his lord for mercy from this wreathched world
I beg of you he cried
My soles get blistered and my horses tired, I beg thee for MERCY!
Do you ask fopr me to make you a new prophet? With MY knowledge? he questioned loyal Joseth.
You have engines and you have horses.
Nay
But still Joseth pleaded, begging for his understanding, Untill finally the light shone in his eyes and the almighty one spoke
Oh you wreathched man you poor fool
I shall give you your servent
But oh!Bewa

The pump station is not a church. Go back to your church/temple or home if you want to worship your god. All other public space are not meant for religious activity.

They should arrest those people for public disturbance and blocking trafic.

If we are really serious about lowering gas prices, we need to stop paying for it.

This is a supply and demand economy. Right now the demand is high and the supply is limited. This allows the sellers to jack prices as high as they want. As long as we continue to pay the prices, the sellers will continue pushing it up.

Low demand is what brings the prices down. Stop paying for the gas and prices will lower.

So walk, ride the bus, ride a bicycle.

To those that believe we are at the mercy of the governement should read the Constitution again. The only reason we are at the mercy of those in power is that we the people are too apathetic or self-involved to be active and informed in what`s going on.

There goal is to scare us into submission and the majority of the population are sheep and will do whatever they say. So who`s the dumb one? Nuclear energy is not as bad as people make you think. The nuclear waste isn`t as plentiful and the chance of a meltdown is slim. I`m with you Tay-Dor it`ll reduce the world population lol and that in turn will reduce our carbon output. It just seems to me that there`s a lot of BS being thrown around and I don`t believe a word either side is saying. The liberals are in for "cleaning burning fuel" and people like Al Gore End up make billions.... and those people who want to keep chugging Earth`s oil are looking to make billions. It`s a lose-lose situation.

I am sure people have been trying to develop a solar power car for years... I am sure night is kind of a problem...

Just saying.

And yes, Jesus may have said that people should pray for thier daily bread, but drat it, Jesus, though he was a real person was just a hypered up prophet, there were many in his time, he isn`t a rare example of anything. The only thing that did happen was post his death people follwed him... Big whoop.

The flying spagetti monster and his noodly wrath hold more appeal to me.

And I may be a liberal hippy, but if we didn`t balance out the world then you right wing peace haters would nuke us all. See... I can genralise to.

Tay-Dor, are you kidding me? Please tell me you`re being sarcastic. Take a look at a nuclear power plant sometime. They`re pretty big. Because that`s how much space and technology it takes to control radioactive material. Remember what happened at Chernobyl and Three Mile Island? Both incidents happened because the engineers in the control room f**ed up. The reason it doesn`t happen very often is because nuclear engineers are highly trained, highly intelligent people with access to advanced technology designed to provide every safeguard possible against system collapse. And you say "why not" to the idea of putting the control of this incredibly powerful chemical reaction in the hands of anyone who drives a car?

Sure..why not? They don`t meltdown near as often as people think. Less poluting than carbon-based fuels. If one goes kaboom, then we`re just helping reduce the world`s population. ;)
No, I`d support more nuclear plants for general energy production. But vehicles need to get off oil and gas. We need to focus on electrical motors and solor.
We`re facing a global food shortage and politicians want to convert our food production to biofeul production? Talk about stupid.

They have a roof over their heads, can afford cars and all the food they need. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
