Nope, it`s pretty normal. The island of St Maarten is very rugged, and there`s just barely enough room for a runway (with sea at one end and a lagoon at the other).

Pilots have to hit the brakes and thrust reversers pretty hard to stop everyone on board getting wet...

Seen it before, but I`ve never seen the video, only photos. Was that a one-off or is it a normal thing there?

This is the Princess Juliana International Airport. It`s the second busiest airport in the Caribbean behind Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico--OH, I`ve totally been to that one!

i`ve seen it many times before. I think they later closed that beach because it was just too dangerous.

THAT IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN ST MARTIN.

THE THING IS THAT NO ONE LIVES ON THAT BEACH, UNLIKE THE CITY WE SAW YESTERDAY.

I think that that was pretty low for a aeroplane to land.

Shouldn`t there be evidence of wake turbulence on the water?

Looks fake to me. I pressed pause/play to get a slow mo effect and to me it looked like the wheels went through the fence. Correct me if I`m wrong though

I would have been terrified to be that car. It looked as if it almost touched it with it`s wheels.

I was going to say, "`Incredibly Low-Altitude Aircraft Landing`, what do you expect if the plane`s landing??" but wow that was dodgy, no room at all for errors, it barely got over the fence.
