Wouldn`t believe that was Michigan ever.
But neat pictures.

Yeah, Michigan`s not that cool. (I`m allowed to say so, as I`ve lived here my whole life.)

The pictures were really cool though.

"Did ANYONE read the description on the website? People are denying it saying "How does that happen?!?" or "Waves can`t freeze in mid air!" Read the description on the website for pete`s sakes!"

What are you talking about. The website says it`s Lake Huron frozen over....

I don`t think the great lakes freeze during winter because they`re fairly active waters, and there`s no way this winter could cause anything called "supercooled water".
This winter sucked in North Bay, Ontario....\
I love this beautiful weather.

its when the water under the ice like comes out and the much much colder oxygen-rich air meets the water it freezes instantly. i read that a while ago about those pics. not sure if its exactly right

How did that happen? It didn`t. Someone made it up. Those things take time to create. You can`t just freeze that much water in seconds. It`s impossible even for mother nature. Right mommy?

Furthermore, Lake Michigan doesn`t have waves of that magnitude.

^^ Yeah, what sking7 said....

Real photos, not photoshops.
Glacial erosional feature, not "Frozen Wave".
In Antarctica, not bloody Michigan.

Fayth, there is a Mackinaw City. Boat service to Mackinac Island runs from both St. Ignace - servicing the UP and Mackinaw City - servicing the LP. I had the misfortune of living on Mackinac in my early teens.

Also, they misspelled Mackinac, and it`s an island, not a city.

I want to eat it. That would make a kickass snow cone if you grind it up and put some grape flavoring in there.
