Who get`s herpes from cell phones?

Honestly, show me some one who claims to have gotten herpes from using some one else`s cell phone and I`ll show you some one deep in denial.

misstakenID, no, what doesn`t kill us makes us crippled and weak ;] ... and yeah, it`s never a bad idea to keep yerself healthy... even by such small means like wiping yer cell onces in a while... i clean mine every day, not because i knew about the bacteria, but because it`s been over two years and it still looks like i just took it out of the packaging... i like my things to be nice and new ^.^

meh. who cares? you`re not going to die from a cold.
and you shouldnt go anywhere near anyone who has herpes anyway.
I probably WILL start cleaning my cellphone, though, it`s just one of those things you dont think about, like mopping under your bed.

"Fortunately I wasn`t sick that day"???? Oh, you lucky, lucky girl....

And apparently phones have a lot of bacteria found on the hands and in the mouth... OH NO!!!!! wait, if they live in our hands and mouth, how are they dangerous?

btw, 99.99% of germs are harmless, and we would die without them (someone probably said that before)

End of rant. Thanks for reading.

I wipe off my screen after all my calls anyways.
And what about landlines?
If your friend comes over and is sick you still let them use it.

Oh come ON people.
Seriously, theres a point of being intelligent about infection and then theres taking the whole thing way to friggin far.

Ok, Lesson 1. You don`t challenge your immune system, you wont HAVE an immune system. People who bathe themselves in antibacterial crap 24/7 have a higher risk of getting sick.

Lesson 2. Not all bacteria is bad. What the heck do you think it floats around on your body for?

Lesson 3. If you have been sick, IE: had some weird infection/disease then its probably a good idea to clean your phone, much like you wouldnt drink out of a contaminated cup or use the same toothbrush again.

Lesson 4. Wal-mart is nasty. Pure and simple :P

Um excuse me but i was under the assumption that putting any unsterelised object into a cultivating environment will allow large quantities of germs to grow.. therefore these tests are merely designed to scare us all

Just wash your hands and don`t lick your phone :)

Then we wash our hands too much, and if we carry hand-sanitizer (i.e., methanol alcohol) around with us, using it on our cell-phones and thus by default our manus, then our hands are going to get all cracked and bloody from lack of moisture and we`ll have the risk of INFECTION on our hands (no pun intended, at first) from actual open f*ckin wounds, which will require us to buy lotion or some OTHER type of medicinal ointment, most likely of the antiseptic variety. So at this point, all I`m gathering from this presumed expose` is a grand conspiracy on the part of sanitation-happy hoaxters and lotionier-capitalists against the common working man.

Oh, and the weatherman looks fine in that ringtone.

I am going to seriously start disinfecting my shoelaces, my shoes, my carpet, and my fu*king stomach like Okasen said - and for what it`s worth, only a perverted f*cking mind could have come up with something so perfectly funny to my perverted f*cking mind as that, and I appreciate you for sharing that little bit of satirical wit and irreverent wisdom.

Yeah, that was the POINT of the lude I gave you...

I wonder what would happen if they did a culture on the germ-content of CLOTHES - or even SHOELACES, for that matter! All one has to do is heed the 5-second clip from a magically obscure Seinfeld episode, in which Jerry so brazenly responds to Kramer`s inquiry as to his removing of his shoelaces with "Ah, they touched the floor of the men`s bathroom earlier, so they`re done."

How many of you wash your hands after tying your shoes?

No, SERIOUSLY??

i do...

oh noes?

When are we going to get it? Germs are everywhere! They always have been and always will be. Sometimes not always a little excessive germage can be good for us, as we are giving our immune systems a little work out. Things were much worse in the past.

Tish and fipsy. btw, alcohol does not damage the interior of your phone
it evaporates. it may, on the other hand, dissolve solvents in the phone. and, i don`t recall using my phone as a butt-plug ever, so, what`s the point of that non-news?

MY GOD, IT`S STREPTOCOCCUS!!! RUN TO THE HILLS! Seriously though, of course there are germs on cell phones, and of course it looks gross if you grow them in nutritional fluids. The smartest thing in this video was the first guy who said there are as many germs on a door handle.

Germs help to build up your immune system. If you live in a totally clean environment and suddenly get exposed to the real world: hello astma, allergies etc etc...
