To get a fro like in the post, you can pick it out or wet it at night and braid it then brush it out in the morning. You don`t need to brush it all the time or use hairspray...it just stays like that. I like to twist my hair back when it`s wet (like cornrow braids but only with 2 strands instead of 3) and it`s really thick and wavy when I take it out after it dries.
Hope that helps.
You resident black chick....at your service.
Feel free to ask me anything. I don`t care. I`d rather you know so you don`t need diversity training or anything like that, lol.
Most black people naturally have a fro-like consistency to their hair. Each strand of our hair is really thick and tightly corkscrew shaped. If you see us with strait hair, it`s usually a perm (chemical relaxer....does opposite of what white people`s perms do) there was heat applied, or it`s a hair weave.
I wanted to go back to natural, because I don`t like all the chemicals and quite frankly, I like my knappy hair! I think it`s making a comeback, because there`s so much variety: braids, twists, dreads, wavy, blow dry it to have it thick and strait, etc. U can still get weaves or wear wigs, too if you want.
I rock a fro sometimes, and sometimes a fro-hawk :-)
It`s just not the same!
I want to see a white guy with a fro for once...
