A short, but interesting news item about a teenage mugger and the nicest victim in the world. Hard to believe this one.

Thing is, he was lucky that his mugger was a teen and not a stone cold murdering sum bich. Because if it was the latter, it wouldnt have mattered how nice the victim was to the mugger, the mugger would just kill and take advantage.

Watch the new DVD called "Perfect Warrior" It has a very similar sequence in it. Not a bad DVD either.

its a very sweet story, but that guy was VERY lucky that (or clever enough to figure out) that the kid needed help rather than a beating. sadly i fear his niceness(?) will be the end of him :/

that said, hopefully people will read that story and realise that some peeps still have manners, so therefore its good to use them yourself. though i cant say that i`ll stretch that to a free lunch, coat and money to someone trying to mug me :P

You know, it`s people like him that make the world go round. If I knew that guy I would be giving him my wallet instead of the other way around.

what a coincidence. I got this story in an email a few days ago with a "pass it on" subject line?

This isn`t unusual. There are people like this man all over the place. Unfortunately it isn`t the murder and mayhem that the news channels love. They go unseen, unheard of, sadly.....
I don` know if I would have done it, I would have been too scared. But this man was at the right place at the right time and the right kid... Angels come in all forms they say, yes there are decent people still on the planet, but the Rotten ones are the ones who get the headlines. I think it`s a great story!!!!

"As the teen began to walk away, Diaz told him, "Hey, wait a minute. You forgot something. If you`re going to be robbing people for the rest of the night, you might as well take my coat to keep you warm.""

First of all "teen robbers" don`t walk away, they run, that`s the first big hole in this fairy tale.

Secondly, why would he offer to aid the thug in robbing other people for the rest of the night? I get the moral part is supposed to be that he was trying to change the kid, but what if the kid did take the jacket and continue robbing other people? What a dick.

....bionicRod, don`t get your panties in a bunch, go tip a cow or something. If any jackass attempted to do something as dumb, as this jerkoff did in this made up Crap story, they would end up dead. This isn`t Hollywood... it`s the South Bronx.

No no no you fools, don`t you see. This just encourages the muggers. Everyone should carry a a gun and shoot at the first sign of trouble. Every one knows the muggers life isn`t worth the 20 bucks in your wallet. Geez, you all must be liberal pussies.

Be a man, stand up and protect your self.

Nice story but...
"Afterward, when Diaz told his mother what happened, she said, "You`re the type of kid that if someone asked you for the time, you gave them your watch.""

Does he still live with his mother, is he a momma`s boy, or did he just decide to call her?
