Thank you for your correction Shoyz. I see I made some people angry. I don`t want to go to a country where bad things happen all the time. Meaning the USA.

My point still stands anyway.

"I would not dare to go to an university in the USA. Bang bang."

Maybe you`d learn the difference between "a" and "an".

Soccer is sooooooo boring. Sit there for 3 hours and the final score is 1-0. Exciting!

I see my point is completely wasted here. Ill try to spell it out: "Remind me to never go to a football match in Colombia." Do these things happen everyday? It`s a rethorical question, but I`ll answer it for you. No. If you enjoy viewing videos of people hurting each other, realize that people also morbidly enjoyed watching the chaos ensue in American universities from the comfort of their homes.

true, every university in the US should close due to all of the killings which happen every day. Because of all of the car accidents that occur everyday, all of the highways and roads should be shut down too. actually, we should all kill ourselves since we are all going to die from something anyway.

jeez, now I sound like a crazy suicide gunman.

Sarguy - you just used antonyms in the same sentence to descibe fighting in the stands. Make your mind up, its either boring or fun. I`m not a hooligan but whenever I`ve been caught up in chaos after a footy game it certainly isn`t boring.

This is why Soccer should be banned from the earth! It`s so boring that people have to fight each other in the stands just to have fun!

Hmm, ladies were good-looking, too bad they were hurt. I may not go there for a soccer match, but there are appearently other reasons to go. That having been said, Brazil and Argentina are still my top destinations.

Is it a coincidence that countries that are famous for gorgeous women are also serous about soccer?

Fianzo: and for the most part the hooligans are very organised and arrange to meet away from the stadium

"I disagree with your choice of team, sir!"
"Well, would you like to make a knife fight out of it?"
"Indubitably!"
"Shall we say, the garden at 7pm?"
"That works splendidly. See you this evening."
"Oh do try not to bleed too badly, we`re having company tomorrow, and blood is SUCH a pain to get out of the grass!"

stabbings are very rare at english football games and for the most part the hooligans are very organised and arrange to meet away from the stadium

Mantolwen, the incident you cited was not caused by rivalry between two opposing teams, it was caused by lousy stadium design and bad decision on the police.

I`m sure I remember a quite recent occurance somewhere in Europe where the rivalry between two opposing teams` supporters also caused a lot of injury caused by some people`s idiocy. I just can`t remember where or when (I think it`s somewhere in Italy in the 1990s)

nothin like a good brawl to cheer one up.

So they have HAD clashes and they WERE violent, so why pit the same two damn teams together if it`s JUST going to happen AGAIN and AGAIN!?

HELLO!? LEARNING FROM ANY MISTAKES TODAY!?

Sure, you could argue about how people would lose money and all that but then you have to wonder...are people really that desperate for money if it results in the event of brawls?

Yes, yes they are. Why? Because we`re humans.

Colombia sounds like my kind of place.

Cheap Prostitutes? Check.
Tons of Drugs and Alcohol? Check.
Being able to stab someone at a soccer match and not go to jail? Check.

Neagle, don`t be silly. The British have all the ridiculous football/soccer brawls as well. Look it up.

Of course, they don`t usually end up with 80 people being knifed or stuff like that, but violence is still violence.

How magical. The love of sports brings people together.

Or leave them with multiple stab wounds.

I need to shove this video in the faces of people who said that sports brings people together.

Yes, I`m aware that it brings the brawlers together against the other team, but you get my drift.

And, this time, it was the coaches that started it..

"They tried to keep people off the field" - Yet they stand 20 feet back from a gate that they could easily lock, thus letting the angered fans push it open in triumph.
