Wow it`s strange to see something from your town on IAB. I`ve never even actually been up to see it but I heard about it being created a few years ago. I don`t think anyone actually lives there or at least not many people. That thing would drive you insane! I suppose it`s a pretty good piece of art for Burnley though, it`s hardly the cultural capital of the world I can tell you! Lancashire does have quite a strong history of witchcraft though if anyone is interested, most especially in Pendle.

I live about 5min away from lake ontario & that tree would make lots of music there! Definitely draw more ppl to the lake, I bet.

You`d think if they put that much time and effort into building this, they`d tune the thing once in a while.

also, they should do something so they can actually make music they want out of it, instead of just letting the wind, because it all sounds the same really =/

I wish my penis would do that. But it never gets blown so I wouldn`t even have the chance of hearing the sweet music.

Perfect creepy/eerie music for a creepy/eerie movie from a creepy/eerie metal tree.

Also, you can tell where the wind is going now! Just need a translator to tell you which note is where.

cool but the sound itself was a little haunting. I wonder what they could come up with if they played with pitch more

That`s not singing, that`s wailing! Art`s not very good at imitating life in this case. Don`t particularly like it.

The video was a bit too long, but the concept is really cool. It would suck if you lived near it though... can`t turn it off, ever...

singing? all i heard was the wind howling through a bunch of aluminum pipes. original idea though, i guess. on a scale of 1 to 10, this one gets a "meh".

I`m actually surprised to see this on here. I live about 2 miles from this singing tree. It`s something that noone in this town really appreciates. I`ve seen it a few times in real life. Crown Point, as it shows in the video is actually a popular dogging spot. Dogging being where you go to watch others have sex.... heh.

Normally when art meets music, there is a grade school "craft time" sort of feel too it. This was a great exception and was truly impressive.

It looks more like a tornado than a tree, and the creepy noise goes along well with that. *Very* cool concept. I wouldn`t want to live next to it, though.

Wow, it sounds like a cross between living in front of a freeway and being visited by hundreds of ghosts at once. I like the concept, but the execution is lacking.
