fake. a spool that big with cable on it could not be lifted by two guys up a single step! It would weigh at least 500-700 lbs.

Fake. The dude outside talking on this cellphone acted like nothing has happened after the roll of cable smashed into the windows.

I agree with the car alarm problem. It takes 3 seconds after hitting the glass for the car alarm to go off, yet you can see the cable is moving very slowly once it goes through the door, and in the next shot you can see the car is really far away. Perhaps it was just clever editing to make the whole thing more dramatic.

I WANNA RIDE ON THAT!
It looks fun. Except for the fact I`ll get smushed to death while I roll.

I`ve seen this from a different angle (outside the door) in a Microsoft VoIP ad. Defo a setup.

Oh man, the moment it slipped from their grip I looked at the glass door and said.

"That`s not going to be cheap in 3...2..."

I REALLY doubt this was fake. Unless these people had the money to pay for the door/windows and the repairs for a pretty good looking car.

It is likely that somebody just figured "This could go very wrong. Lets record it."

.. It`s not a security camera. If you saw two guys rolling a spool up some ramps on steps, you`d grab a camera too.

I say this is a fake, and I`ll tell you why. It`s obviously NOT a security camera, because there is a bit of movement in the camera. When`s the last time you saw a security camera that jiggled?

I also don`t think it was cable, I think it was shielded braid. I heard there was a video, but this is my first time seeing it.

stop saying security camera, it pans perfectly, security camera would be either just a overview or pan back and forth, not focus on things.

I think its staged. Look at the guy standing just OUTSIDE the door. He doesn`t jump or react at all, like maybe he was there to keep people out of the way. And it sounds like the car alarm goes off while part of the spool is still visible, which means before it hit the car.

Wouldn`t a building like that have a freight elevator?

Regardless of the clips credibility, it was still enjoyable.

Obviously staged, but it was interesting. It is always interesting to see something big smash into something breakable.

Don`t care if it`s fake or not, was entertaining either way.
I feel bad for the owner of that car. It`s a terrible feeling when your car gets totaled while parked in a parking lot. I should know...

Pwnt.

I`m with the others, questioning why they had a camera turned on to record people carrying a spool up the stairs. It`s usually not that interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sometimes common sense just tells you when a Kodak, now known as a You Tube moment will arise. Think about it, two guys, an huge roll of cable, glass doors, stairs, and gravity. You do the math. When I know that something stupid is about to go down the first thing I grab is my camera.
Someone probably could tell something was going to go wrong...what with two people rolling a massive wheel up a hill without brakes an all...so they got their camera out!
There`s the little engine that could, and then there`s the cable spool that couldn`t.
watch the person on the couch to the right, they are paying close attention to the people, and as the cable starts rolling, they lean back as if enjoying a show. the worker on the right also seems excited about it, not embarrassed or shocked.
