Yeah that`s right, I forgot how some people are terrified to look into the past and realize things other than Christianity did exist.

Anyway...lame

"Easter does have some pagan roots, almost all of the bible does. But who cares, they`re both fictional and i just want some chocolate...and a hit from the bong with that bunny."

Wow.

Um, someday you`re going to wish you didn`t believe that.

"Ahhh....so for the last 20 centuries, Easter actually had nothing to do with lame ass B.S. crap like hope, rebirth, spiritual re-awakening, love, sacrifice...etc.
I`m glad this flash animation finally set the world straight."

The world? My views on the meaning behind the meaning of Easter have not changed. So I guess the world has not been completely `corrupted` yet.

I`ll never deny what I know. I just can`t believe how non-chalant and `ignorant` you people can be about something so special.

Easter was/is based on a pagan holiday...some celebration involving Ishtar, the goddess of fertility.

And Okasen, what are you saying? The whole point of Christ coming in the first place was to die. Him being saved would kind of negate the purpose, don`t you think?

bingo, they are not pagan holidays as they are today, it was a case of fitting the christian holidays in with the same times as pagan celebrations so they could ease the transgretion from pagan to christianity far easier. it is the case with nearly all major holidays in the christian calander, very few fall near what they are actually celebrating. christ, if he was born, was born about mid febuary. (apparentley, if the light that shone to guide the shepards was a supernova or somthing)

But yeah, loved the post. was pretty damn good

You know, i`m pretty sure easter was never pagan. I know christmas took place ona pagan day, but honestly, the only thing that easter could be like is the march equinox celebrations.

The goat really seemed like a shot at pagans until i remembered that christians let their lord die on a stick, losers. save him.

Easter traditions deemed "pagan" by some Reformation leaders, along with Christmas celebrations, were among the first casualties of some areas of the Protestant Reformation.

easter was never a pagan holiday. Commercial america easter is a pagan holiday. (with the rabbit and all that BS) but this video seems to say that christians are the source of the rabbits and chocolate. Wake up, there is nothing religious about that, it`s just hallmark and uncle sam wanting you to get out and waste money.
