Ack! I need one of those. Couldn`t exactly carry it around, but in this day and age, with all these drating gangs, that would come in handy.

I love how he showed his real feelings towards the gun, when he said "get`s nasty, get down to business" and he gives a big grin :D some people just love guns, americans and muslims have more in common than they want to admit.

What a cool gun!

That gun should be in Call of Duty 5! Along with the Tavor, Micro Uzi, CornerShot, SA90, and the sweet sweet Steyr AUG! Along with others

yer, that would be really useful for all those mid-walk shoot outs i have... i don`t think. why would anyone bother with this? i just don`t see the point. also, why a torch? that just seems random, especially if it is detachable. might as well buy a torch that is actually decent, not an add-on to a smg.
totally pointless

This defeats the purpose of having a pistol. Also it just looked like a half pistol, half big ass receptor.

um the glock is a fully automatic handgun, not a submachine gun that thing is just a glock made to be a submachine gun that looked liek a glock 21 to me so probably a low clip.

Didn`t read the entirety of the comments so sorry if this was already said, but that != a machine gun, its a submachine gun... -_-

ttsec, I know that a submachine gun is described by some as an automatic pistol, and this just backs up my point. So you fail, and you fail for being unoriginal.

From wiki: "Machine guns - this includes any firearm which can fire more than 1 cartridge per trigger pull" There. I win.

Pistols ARE designed to be one handed. It is one of the aspects of design besides concealment etc. But by definition under your silly Firearms Act, pistols are designed to be fired with one hand. As in, it may only have one handgrip (hence adding a stock is illegal). But still, my point stands because the fold away gun clearly has more than one, hence it cannot be a pistol under your firearms act. Learn your own laws, then come back later. FAIL!

Andyl,

FAIL:

Submachine gun can also be described as an automatic pistol with a stock and increased magazine capacity.

EPIC FAIL:

Pistols aren`t design to be one-handed. They aren`t designed to be two-handed. It doesn`t matter how many hands you`re using to fire it. The pistol`s main design purposes are for concealment, portability and cheaper

It`s not a submachine gun. It`s barely even a machine pistol. It`s closer to the category of automatic pistol, due to the low magazine size. So it`s essentially a pistol that is automatic and has a stock. Whoopee.

"its a p90 in disguise" - FAIL!

"why does it take "glock" bullets?" - FAIL!

"thats not a machine gun ppl, its not even a sub machine gun" - EPIC FAIL!

"It`s an automatic pistol with a stock" - FAIL!

First - get your facts right. They say they built it using Glock parts. That does not make it a pistol just because Glock make pistols. If it were a machine pistol, then what is the factor that makes it a machine pistol and not a submachine gun? Well? Exactly, it`s a submachine gun.

Also, it`s illegal to add a stock to a machine pistol in your fancy USA, so they clearly must classify it as a submachine gun. After all, it`s built to be a two handed weapon: pistols are designed to be one handed.

I think the first two people I quoted can realise their own epic failness without me having to point it out for them.

Now I don`t claim to be an expert on guns. I just point out other people`s bullsh*t.

Guy who misinterpreted 2nd amendment,

Suppose it`s to give the military guns, as you say. Suppose Hitlery Femi-Nazi Clinton uses the military to enforce her Communist regime, killing all political opponents with the military, ala Stalin. How would the regular citizens fight back in the nam of Democracy? They can`t, cause they they gotz no gunz! You are implying the founding fathers wanted American citizens to bow down to an almighty military dictatorship.

One day, when you grow up, you get married, and you`re out on date with your hot young pregnant wife, when an idiot with box cutters surprise attacks you so he can rape you wife, what can you do? You reach for your trusty pocket gun, but oh noez, you gotz no gunz! Oh noez! They are in your base killing your d00dz! PWND!

^Excuse me sir but, you are dead wrong. Jefferson was a strong advocate of concept of the individual citizen making up the final defense of freedom against any aggressive state including our own government if it fails in representing the people and all peaceful forms of communication fails. If you read Jefferson or Adams work you will find referance to a militia repeated several time in concept of the legal citizen being responsible for the protection of the people as well as the government. Our representative government derives its power through the people as any form of non-repressive state does and thus, the power belongs to the people always.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I right to bare arms was to give the people the power not the military. During the revolution the British army would take civilians guns so they couldn`t fight back. If the arm could carry the guns they destroy them.

"Say, is that a machine gun in your pocket or are you just" *BLATTADATTADOW* "Oh my freakin` gourd that WAS a machine gun in your pocket! There`s so much blood!!! Erk*"

I mean - come on, really? I`m all for second amendment rights, but I don`t think personal protection, hunting, or really any situation outside of specialized military use calls for the handy-dandy ol` pocket machine gun.

He said people would need this while walking their dogs? Where the frick does he walk his dog? Does he get attacked by gangs of ninjas while walking ol` Fido? I want to know, because he and Fido can have the dratting place wherever the drat it is.

This was a prototype presented at the SHOT SHOW 2008 in Las Vegas. It is built around a Glock 18 9mm, full automatic pistol. Automatic weapons are legal to own in the US with a Class III ATF License. They must be purchased through a Class III dealer, and special approvals must be made with local law enforcement.

It is doubtful this will be produced by Magpul, or any other manufacturer. However, it is an awesome concept nonetheless.

would that actually be classified as a rifle? Also in the US automatic weapons are banned unless you have a special license, so is it really a machine gune (in which case its impractical) or a semiautomatic? also reminds me of an airsoft gun. meh

Honestly, who needs something like this? Maybe the military. I couldn`t see allowing Joe Citizen to have access to something like this. Law enforcement has enough to be dealing without having to worry about some thug whipping out his flashlight gun.
Not to mention the ramifications of unstable teenagers getting a hold of something like this and taking it to thier school.
