rasputinxxx: thats the most retarded comment i ever heard because I figured out that things keep getting harder as you grow up so quit bitching about being a teenager Twinkltits. And I agree with Pabasa totally.

btw you guys need to see the full video...and it has audio in it too...that school gal was just being a bitch. And the video here is edited. The drivers daughter attacked the bitch only after the bitch first attacked her mom...imagine yourself in the daughters situation...your juvenile delinquent of a classmate attacks your mom...how the fcuk would you react?

Things do get harder when you get older, but in different ways... for example you may have to worry about bills but you dont have to worry about a final exam you have to study for.
but your to much of an ass-c*nt to realize this

"driver can be sued for wrongful imprisonment..."

it is actually the other way around, bus driver can be sued for dropping off a children at somewhere else than school or scheduled stop. especially if the parent calls for a missing child who was dropped off at a friends house unknowingly.

I don`t see how talking on a cell phone could be so distracting. When you become a bus driver, you have to know in advance that there will be talking, and how can talking on a phone be any different?

Uhm, all the girl had to do was talk lower, and the bus dtriver shouldn`t have touched her. You shouldn`t have fights on the bus, and the bus driver obviously didn`t care that her daughter hit the girl.

AND WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE JUST WATCHING?

Talking on cell phones on the bus may be against the rules anyway(it was here anyway). And just because school buses are loud doesn`t mean they have to be loud. I couldn`t understand it when I was in school either, can`t people just talk quietly or read? All my bus drivers would freak when people got loud.

` the daughter was freaking crazy and she could be charged with assault and battery as far as i know, but since she`s a minor she`ll probably just get the normal punishment`

I got charged with ABH or GBH can`t remember when I was 15 for a fight in school :S

Anyway they are both in the wrong
The girl shouldn`t be using the phone if it does distract the driver.
But the driver should have let the girl off the bus. In all fairness if I wanted to get off the bus and I wasn`t allowed to I`d go mad, claustrophobic tendencies.
The drivers daughter tho was hillarious

Eh, cell phones can be distracting. When I took a greyhound bus recently the driver turned, at every station and told us that "this bus is like a phone booth. Not everyone is interested in your Aunt Gladys` kidney infection. Keep it down. If I can hear you, you`re too loud. Thanks."

The driver shouldn`t have tried to restrain the girl, but the girl shouldn`t have tried to leave. One of my relatives is a bus driver and I can tell you confidently that IT IS TYPICALLY AGAINST SCHOOL POLICY TO LET A CHILD LEAVE THE BUS UNTIL THEIR SCHEDULED STOP, DUE TO LIABILITY REASONS. Call it a "nanny state" if you want, but I blame it on hospital chasing tort lawyers.

I would never be a bus driver in 100 years, especially in my hometown in Western NY. Crazy road conditions, bratty kids. . .it gives me an ulcer just thinking about it. Sometimes, the safety of the bus has to come first. Deal.

1. You`re allowed to use your cell phone on a school bus. There`s nothing in the rules saying you can`t, and it`s no different than a kid talking to another next to them.
2. The bus drivers are not allowed to let people off unless it`s a school or a designated stop.
3. They`re all stupid.

Bus driver could have handled the situation better and made the conscious decision not to, so therefore she is at fault.

I never cared much for riding school buses anyhow - no seat belts. In Germany, I fondly remember the nicer public buses being assigned the task of transporting students on the school routes each morning, often inter-city. Why can`t America follow that model?

you could totally hear a slap when they start letting out the audio on the tape. Distracting my ass. If it was a school bus, then you can bet there was a whole cacophony of yelling and laughing behind her. Don`t eavesdrop, and you won`t be distracted, whore

drating fat-ass ho bag bitch catwoman. Sure, you can`t let her off the bus, but you don`t touch a student at all! You know what you do? you pull over, tell her to sit down and call drating bus security to let her off the bus.

And her daughter too. What a crazy drating asshat! you don`t jump up on someone and pull on her hair just because she`s mouthing off to your mom.
I bet if it wasn`t recorded the daughter wouldn`t have gotten in trouble at all. How would you like it if someone pulled your or your mom`s limp, thin-ass hair, bitch.

sorry, I rode a school bus for 12 years, i hate everything about them.

I had to take a public bus to get to and from highschool. There was one busdriver who accused me and my friends of swearing for saying the word "pedophile," she also accused people on the bus for graffiti when no one was even holding a marker. Once, a student`s parent called in a complained about this bus driver and the next day on the bus the driver gave us a lecture about how we couldn`t do anything to get her fired.

Then there was another busdriver who went nuts after a student called him an non-nice individual. He stopped the bus 20 feet from my stop and walked up and down the aisle trying to get the person to fess up.

Then, there was another guy who flipped on a kid for being a total douchebag. They both ended up outside the bus practically headbutting, but thankfully no punches were thrown. The kid would have deserved it, though.

I got it now! Since everyone says the bus driver shouldn`t have held her back, they should put Security guards on the bus in case someone tries to get off!

Come on now. If the bus driver can`t hold her back (because for some reason that is out of the question)then what else is she supposed to do to keep her on the bus?

I guess she could have used her Jedi mind control powers to persuade her to sit back down. :D

Kids comming back home full of bruises, there would be all out fist fights every other month.

All this to say, bus drivers have their limits, but it`s because of the kids.

That 12 year old daughter probably got a swift kick in the ass for getting her mother suspended.

Yet she should not of touched her.

Aretsuku-kun: I think she was asking "Why are you on this bus?" as a rehtoricle question.

Urgh, I hate School buses.
I live in the far flung middle of nowhere, I had to be driven (prior to liscence) 20 minutes out to take an hour and a half bus ride to high school.

It used to be a good Highschool, I was in the IBO program (International Studies) (Think, Private Public school, need at last 130 IQ to get in, 6 hour test) Anyways.

The school ended up merging with a public school filled with ... Ummm. "Hoodlums" half the people in there had a police record, that kind of school.

My perants edned up aranging a new bus system to come and pick me up, at my door, after a few months of the merge for my own protecting.

No bus driver was able to drive the old bus for more then 3 weeks before quitting. They even had an ex cop one time. The kids where fu¢king horrible.

One guy stuck his ass out of the window and took a sh°t. Spit ball fights imbued with... cum.

Ok i used to ride a school bus and its the bus driver police to NOT let anyone for any reason off the bus other than school or the stop they are suppose to be dropped at unless they have a signed note / permission from the parent or school to allow them to. This is due to the bus driver being responsable until they are off the bus just like the school is till they go home. As for cell phones Im not a 100% sure on that but if they are being loud and distracting than i can see no phones. As for the bus driver touching her and that other kid snapping like that was unacceptable.

Haha, I love how little kids jump right into name calling and the like. This is the reason why this all happened.

No, the bus driver shouldn`t have been so "grabby" but no child is allowed off any bus because once they get on they are the bus drivers responsiblity. They get off and the bus driver is liable for them.

It all comes down to respecting authority. If these kids ever listened to anything anyone who has the authority over them tells them then nothing like this would ever happen. That`s the probelm with kids these days. If everyone just shut up, sat down and listened these videos wouldn`t be out here.

"Ad her daughter strike her" As far as I saw, the driver did not call her over and go "Beat the snot out of her!" The daughter did it out of sheer protectiveness over her mother. I probably would`ve done just about the same thing if i saw some brat hitting my mother.

In regards to your reply lauraly, I never said I wanted kids to be smacked around or beaten, BUT I think children if doing something wrong enough should get the ruler to the hand or a smack to their bottom with a paddle. A verbal punishment is good for the first few warnings.

As for you bringing up being abused. That`s fine if you simply state that you were and that you never acted that way. Do you need to tell me a detailed story of you being beaten? NO. Like I said, keep that for a support group.

xacecOrex, the girl was not out of line.
She did absolutely nothing to violate bus rules
The bus driver put her hands on her (strike 1) threw her phone (strike 2) and had her daughter fight her (strike 3).

All the girl did was be a smart ass with her rights. The bus driver probably didnt understand she should have talked louder and slower.

And P.S. Beating children works, just when its the parents and not other people. If they are not your dependents on IRS forms you shouldnt beat them.

xacec0rex, you seem to have the very misguided opinion that children who do anything other than what an authority figure wants them to do deserve to be physically punished. I was pointing out that is not always the case.

If she wanted sympathy and "OMG I`m so sorry and sad for you" then a support group would be best. I`m not a counselour, not a friend, not her mommy. So unless I ask, don`t tell.

I have to admit though, I`m not bored anymore. Thanks guys!

hamster-gal, thank you.
xacec0rex,I wasn`t bringing up my past so anyone could give me a pity party or to make you feel bad for me, it was to keep you from thinking that the only reason I would side with this girl is because I acted that way at her age. I didn`t. As previously stated, I was a polite kid, but abuse didn`t make me that way. If anything abuse made me act out more than I might have otherwise. I have accepted my past, but I take it pretty badly when someone suggests smacking kids around as a means to show authority. All that proves to me is that you were never taught constructive ways to problem solve.
You are right that abuse at home is different than this particular instance, but I was acknowledging your thoughts that teachers and other persons of authority over children should have the right to use corporal punishment. I asked if you had been abused, and after stating that I had been, I felt the need to explain so you wouldn`t think that I brought it upon myself

No. I was never abused. I just find children these days are totally out of line, which of course there are exceptions to every rule, like that cute video of the kid and his xbox.
No offense, but there`s a major difference between this video and child abuse at home. The driver didn`t beat the kid to a pulp. And why are you even bringing your personal life into this? As much as yes, it`s saddening, I also could care less.

Like I said, I was never abused. I was spanked when it was needed. It`s not abour respect, it`s about authority and the fact that the girl should`ve just listened.

Next time, keep your past stories to for a support group, not IAB.

Female 2,258
xacec0rex, your comments make me wonder whether or not you were ever beaten as a child.
I was and it completely turned me against any type of physical violence towards children, but I know that often times the people who are all for child abuse are those who went through it themselves.

And no, I never acted like this girl. I was polite, but my mother taught me that just because a person is older than you doesn`t given them the right to treat you poorly. My dad would get mad at me because I wanted respect from him. One of the fights we got into was because he had been teasing me and instead of yelling at him I just wouldn`t speak to him. When he asked why and I told him it was because he hurt my feelings he attacked me and threw me into the bathtub (I used to try to lock myself in the bathroom when he got violent, but I wasn`t fast enough that time) before hitting me repeatedly until my mom came into the room and pulled him off of me.

xacec0rex, The bus driver probably could have had the girl "STFU" by just talking to the girls mother and explaining that she can`t by law let the girl off the bus until her designated stop, and asking the girl`s mother to please explain this to her daughter. Then the girl could argue with her mother instead of with the bus driver. Plus, don`t you think the driver was out of line by throwing the phone?
As far as the driver getting in the girl`s way, she didn`t stop at that. She grabbed the girl`s arm and shoved her backwards. She could have gotten in the girl`s way and kept her arms folded. Also, it`s a damn bus, you have to pull the lever by the driver`s seat to open the door. The driver could have just locked the door and let the girl sit on the bottom step until the police arrived.

I just watched the full video and I think both of them were at fault. The girl was being a little bitch screaming and what not. There is a time and a place to be in defense of the children, but there`s nothing wrong with someone doing their job. She could`ve handed it a bit better, but granted it turned into a stressful situation and telling the kid "By law I have to keep you on here" would`ve done nothing.

Anymore kids are getting worse and she deserved in a slap in the face. As much as the daughter grabbing her hair was wrong, I was so happy the girl STFU.

If the phone conversation was that private, why even talk about it on the SCHOOL BUS on your CELL PHONE?

How was the bus driver out of control? She put her hand on her to just stop her from getting off the bus, which was to protect her job and also the student, NOT hit her.

She does have the authority over the students because most school districts consider bus stops and being on the bus, school property. I`m glad she told her to get off her cell phone. The other girl on her cell was probably being polite about it and was quiet.. The girl in the altercation was most likely being rude and loud, hence the driver saying she is being distracting.

As for the person saying she shouldn`t be a driver if she gets distracted by that, everyone is different. I had a bus driver that people smoked pot, popped pilled, danced in the aisles and everyday we got to school and home safely. Then again, I had another bus driver who everyone hated, but she kept all the students in control and quiet.

If the bus driver couldn`t let the girl off the bus she should hve told her, verbally, not grabbing her arm and trying to stop her. Tell her "by law i can`t do that, etc." I agree with Dainty too, there was another girl on her phone as well right behind the driver, why not tell her to get off her phone as well?

jmann900, why should the girl who got in the altercation have to identify who she was talking to and what the conversation is about when there were other kids who were also chatting on their phones. The bus driver singled out that girl. Also, you should NEVER have to disclose a private conversation. She is entitled to keep her conversations confidential.
Granted the girl got worked up which made the whole situation worse, but that bus driver was completely out of control. She doesn`t have the right constitution to be in a position of authority over children or teenagers. As an adult she should have better self control. When she threw the cell phone she was just trying to escalate matters.

Really, everyone involved was wrong. The girl should have put away her phone right away, unless it was really important. And it if was important, she should have told the bus driver who she was talking to and why. Conversely, the bus driver definitely hit the girl, you can hear the slap. That is wrong. The bus drivers daughter is just a dumbass for getting involved. The rest of the kids on the bus were awesome though. It`s funny watching them in the background.

i hate people who say "adults deserve respect" Why? just because they`re older doesn`t mean they`re better people, or can get away with whatever they want. When a kid is being an ass people want an adult to hit them, when an adult is being an ass, if a kid were to hit them it would be so horrible.
Just because their older doesn`t mean they should have all power and control over everyone. Same thing goes for officer Riveiri, he wants respect, yet he gives out absolutely none. i don`t know about you but i would never respect anyone that treated me badly, or was an ass in general,or just thinks they deserve respect for no apparent reason

Wey_Pooh, adults thinking that they just deserve respect is why children are beaten by their elders.
The way it should work is that everyone treats each other with respect no matter what their age. If anyone does something that would give others reason not to respect them then they have to earn that respect back. If I were that girl, I would have lost respect for the bus driver the minute she shoved me. Teenagers are constantly on the brink of getting into a pissing match as it is anyway, so the best way to deal with them is to be calm and rational and to pick your fights.
After watching that video, I`m still on the side of the girl who had been on the cellphone. She reached for her phone (that the driver threw on the floor when it was offered to her so she could settle things with the girl`s mother) and the driver immediately attacked and started pulling the girls hair which is when the driver`s daughter got involved.

As for you stupid sh*thead girls, no. You can`t talk on your cellphone so loud, and you can`t get off the f*cking bus, now stfu and go back to your sit. People need to learn to follow rules. btw you guys need to see the full video...and it has audio in it too...that school gal was just being a bitch. And the video here is edited. The drivers daughter attacked the bitch only after the bitch first attacked her mom...imagine yourself in the daughters situation...your juvenile delinquent of a classmate attacks your mom...how the fcuk would you react?

I just dont see why she didnt want her on her phone, they`re aloud to talk to each other , right? RIGHT?

1. Yes the bus driver may have over reacted a bit. But that`s within her right. Maybe the girl was saying profane things, maybe she was just to loud. And knowing bus`s now a days, maybe the bus driver needed to hear the radio from the bus station. What ever the reason, there is no reason you couldn`t have had the phone call at some other time. If it was a true emergency she should have said so. But it looks like she just wanted to talk to friends.

2. Bus drivers cannot drop kids off where ever they feel like it. If this school district is like others, it`s a law that prevents it. The school is technically responsible for the student from the time they get on the bus in the morning, till the time they get off. Not when they enter and leave school. The student is only allowed to get off the bus at the bus stop because that has been approved by the school and bus department, that the stop given is the closet/safest place for the student.

Thats it

what would happen if she were to drive by a tree wih a squirrel in it, would that be a sis traction too? the net thing you know all those kids would become hood ornaments on a tractor tailer because this lady is so easily distracted and was having some sort of hunting fantasy

well if a student on a cell phone half way to the back of the bus, is enough to cause a major distraction to the driver i think she doesn`t have the attention span to drive bussed and shouldn`t be allowed too.

Oh, and also, those doors only open one way, so as long as the driver kept driving and kept her hand on the lever that opens the door that girl wouldn`t be going anywhere. There was absolutely no need to touch the girl.

As Dainty pointed out, the bus driver singled out that girl and ignored the girl talking on the cellphone right behind the driver`s seat. With the way the bus driver`s daughter reacted, I wouldn`t be surprised if the driver knew that her daughter didn`t like that girl and as a good white trash mother she helped her daughter out by being a bully.

I know the rules as far as bus drivers not being allowed to let anyone off their bus except at the child`s designated stop or at the school, but by the time you`re in high school the school bus should be considered basic public transportation. There could have been any number of reasons for that girl wanting to get off the bus (and there is a vast emotional difference between a 12 year old and a 14 year old). Because the law doesn`t work that way however, I can understand the bus driver not allowing the girl off the bus, but the minute she touched the girl in any fashion she was way out of line.

I think everyone is at fault....the bus driver maybe was only following the rules but didn`t really know how to keep the authority within the bus...if she left whether the driver tried to stop her or not...parents can still blame her...why didn`t you physically stop her?....and the fact that there was no audio recorded makes things worse...the girl may have cursed the bus driver,,in which if somebody curse my mother...I would totally kick his/her ass...and how do you know it`s not distracting to her?....just because another bus driver could drive while the whole bus plays rock music to the max...that doesn`t mean there is no other driver that couldn`t drive just because the chirping sounds of birds...I am 21 but when an express bus diver tells me to not speak on the phone while he/she is driving, I would totally stop...unless it`s an important call in which I would mention it to him/her...why is it so hard for a 14year old???...

1) The girl wasn`t supposed to even be on the bus, The driver asked "Why are you on this bus?"

2) The driver didn`t hit her, she was holding her back because bus drivers aren`t allowed to let them off anywhere except their stop. The student would still be the bus drivers responsibility if she got off.

3)She was probably talking loud on the phone, I know people talk loud on my bus.

4)There are tons of stuck up little c*nts who would rather talk on their cellphones rather than have a safe ride home.

5)Agreed, the bus driver shouldn`t have touched the girl at all but she would have gotten in poo either way.

Thats it..... We have bigger fights in our bus and we dont get national attention. Anyway its bus drivers fault. She shouldnt have stopped the bus, if she was walking out you can always say she tried to stop her and if she gets Mugged, robbed, raped, kidnapped, killed, goes out for drugs/drink/sex/cigarettes and gets caught etc, it wont be her fault
But most importantly its her fault for her daughter.

im pretty sure that she was allowed to use her cell phone on the bus. the driver was just complaining that it was distracting her, which is bullpoo because busdrivers heed to learn how to drive under all conditions.

The bus driver is at fault. My bus driver doesnt even pay attention to us yellin curse words or anything. And how can one person on a cell phone be more distracting than a bus full of yelling kids? And then the daughter comes up and tries to fight, that doesn`t help.

"That`s basically every single call a 14 year old girl can make.

In my opinion it was the girl`s fault. I don`t know what the policies are for talking on the cell phone in the bus, but I think it took a lot of loud speech for the bus driver to have stopped and reprimand the girl.

IDK BY BFF JILL has ruined our lives. Seriously, get off the cell."
dont even get me started on that sh*t! you act as if every teenager in america is stupid, obvioulsy you have no fu*cking idea on what its like to be a teenager, no girl in their right mind would get off because they were talking to her friend, in the full video it clearly shows she was talking to her mother... and it must be pretty f*cking important if she needs to get off and shes talking with her parents

i think the bus driver is at fault. i know i use to ride the bus a few years back since i live in the middle of nowhere and i talked on my cellphone a lot, and there is a list of rules at the front of the bus, and i`m pretty sure it doesn`t say `no cellphones` so the bus drive is just being anal. also a bus driver is not alowed to let you off the bus at a stop that`s not yours or the school you go to unless you have parental consent but the bus driver should not have touched the girl. and also the daughter was freaking crazy and she could be charged with assault and battery as far as i know, but since she`s a minor she`ll probably just get the normal punishment for fights at school, as well as the girl on the cellphone. That`s about as much as i can figure.

I saw the full video on the news last night, they never said why the bus driver pulled the bus over it just showed the fight, it lasted like 5 minutes. At first i thought the bus driver was justified and the girl was over reacting to not being let off, but now i see that the bus driver was being a bitch..."your distracting me by talking on your cell phone" thats so retarded if one person talking on their cell phone distracts you, you shouldnt be a bus driver, kids scream and throw poo when they ride the bus, one person on their cell phone wont make a difference! she was only using that as an excuse to get the girl in trouble, as a student in high school ive been in situations were a teacher has made up a bullpoo excuse to get me in trouble because they didnt like me.

Why does nobody think of the alternatives before posting?

"OMG why didn`t she let her off the bus!?"

Because then they get calls from parents asking why the hell they dropped their 12 year old kid off 3 miles from home in the middle of nowheresville.

That`s why.

In addition: If anything then actually happens to the kid (Mugged, robbed, raped, kidnapped, killed, goes out for drugs/drink/sex/cigarettes and gets caught etc) the bus driver catches crap for it.

http://www.fayar.net/transportation/safe... Read first 4 rules.

From Melville Highschool:
1.3 Unless by written permission of school authorities, no pupil shall be permitted to leave the bus except at his or her regular bus stop.

The National Association for Pupil Transport agrees.

I don`t know if anyone knows school bus policies, i`ve always been told by bus drivers that they aren`t allowed to let you off the bus unless it`s at school or at home. I completely understand the bus driver not wanting the girl to get off the bus, she could have lost her job, but the student couldn`t have been distracting by being on a cellphone.

1. cell phone probably wasnt really distraccting the bus driver. the bus driver was just being annoying to the girl.

2. the phone call must have been important if the girl was willing to get off the bus to talk on it, the bus driver should have been more understanding to the situation.

3. the girl shouldnt have tried to force her way off the bus.

4. the bus driver shouldnt have used physical contact to keep her on.

5. why the heck did the other girl attack her? the bus driver should have done something about that.

given these points, its hard to make a decision.

Wow. I`m not sure what the policies are about letting students off the bus when they`re not at scheduled stops, but in my opinion, the driver is clearly at fault. She put he hands on the girl first, and if a 50something year old bus driver tried to pull that with me, more would have happened. Also, the daughter had to right to physically go at the girl like that, even if the driver was her mother. It only made the situation worse.

And I guess it doesn`t help that the driver`s kid is insane.
