Hey shoes or toys or shoyz or whatever if you are going to post ignorant crap like that at least change your location to Europe. Eli was a sorry qb who could not lead the boy scouts and the giants had no chance.Yet their defense beat braddy into the ground and Eli led them to the promise land,Go suck on a lemon you sorry fan.I already know how you patty fans would have acted knowing a few of you.no CLASS.you got beat down and the refs didnt save you. What did you expect it was the super bowl.Run off the field and dont shake hands thats the way to show the youth of today how to except loss.I say we give the patriots to europe because when they are winning they are the best and when they lose well its because there must have been cheating.Oh wait or lack of cheating hmmm they are still looking into them for cheating.Great sportsmanship

Um, wtf was the point of this? I suupose I do not watch enough TV, LOL. Also...it was totally obvious that the Patriots were not going to win...they must be tired out form all those wins the last few years. You know what I mean? Besides, Brady was injured anyway.

Every fan of the Giants in my school literally screamed into the ears of every Pat fan. I wouldn`t care so much as the Pats not winning perfection, as much as the annoying-as-hell Giants fans and their gloating. There`s a difference between cheering for your team and plain cruelty.

May the Giants get 18-0, and have us Pats beat them in the Superbowl, allowing me to return the favor.

I AM a Giants fan and it`s not gloating. It`s pure bliss and well earned bragging rights. The Patriots were very sore losers...no hand shake? That`s pathetic, Belichek. Anything can happen in the NFL and that is what makes every single game great.

Judging by the link in soupkid`s post they made a version of the commercial for both teams at the same time so not much money was wasted. Why would anyone assume a company that large would make a marketing blunder and only do one team?

Reminds me of that picture of President Truman holding up that newspaper saying he lost.

And freddyferret, you obviously didn`t learn anything in "advertising" (which is usually called "marketing" in real schools) if you don`t understand why it is worth the investment of airing a commercial when there are 90 million (approx) viewers, 2/5ths of which (at least claim to) watch just for the commercials, and the commercials will be posted online for an even wider audience to view at no cost to the company, then you don`t understand marketing in the slightest.

(and to put it into perspective, even if production cost $300,000, with a total cost of $3 million, then the company would only pay about 3 cents per viewer. This is slightly expensive per view considering the media, but its not bad given past results in other companies).

The cost of the airtime ($2.7 million per 30 seconds) would easily eclipse the amount spent on production.

Freddy, they didn`t spend that much money on the commercial. TO a company like Reebok a simple commercial with nothing but actors in it isn`t a big deal. And airing the commercial even the next day would have been too late.

Soupkid, I took advertising too and I understand the need to have it ready to go. It`s just insane that companies waste so much money over stuff like this. I mean they could have had the first part of it ready to go and had everything set to film the end the day after the game. It could`ve been on the air in a really short period of time, probably that next day or the day after. First off I didn`t know they`d done two. Second it probably didn`t cost a lot to do the "optional" ending so it`s not as bad as I thought. But companies still blow loads of money on stuff like that.

"Ok so I`m the QB"
"NO! Your the kicker"
(Background information): That was Garo Yepremian the kicker for the `72 Dolphins. The score was 14-0 and if he made this field goal it would have been 17-0. The kick was blocked and he picked up the ball and tried to throw it and it went backwards. The score ended up being 14-7.

""It was a decent commercial but I`m laughing at the fact that they spent all of that money for nothing. I can see having some shirts and hats and stuff but that was big bucks down the toilet."

Well, its about timing. Considering the amount of time it takes to produce and distribute a commercial, if they waited until after the game to make it, the impact would have worn off by the time it aired. Notice how low tech and void of real graphics in this commercial. Thats all they could do in the two weeks since the teams were known. I learned that in an advertising class :)

Entertainment-wise it would have been good had the pats won, as it stands Reebok is now financial FAIL

If you can`t waste your money on tv commercials, is there really any reason to have money?

I was hoping to see the Packers beat NE but I`ll take whatever I can get as long as they went down. They`re the only team to go 18-1 and not win the Superbowl. HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!

"You know, I loved watching the Pats fall on their face. It`s not that I`m a Giants fan (I`m a Lions fan :/), but the media forcing their perfection down my throat for the last 12 straight weeks. They killed Sports Center for me. I hate now."

im not a pats fan either, im a cowboys/texans fan, but the fact that all the giants fans are freaking out about winning is what bothers me.

i actually wanted to see the patriots lose to the miami dolphins, but it didnt happen. but you do have to give some credit for an 18-1 season, thats impressive.
