Woman gets arrested for alleged DUI, gets upset with cop, cop beats her up--all on video--and she wasn"t drunk. Graphic.

I was kinda blunt in that last post, if you were around that lady any longer than a few hours, you would know why she was that screwed up...I think the cop could have been more gentle, but it was majority her fault and she should have cooperated

I agree the woman was being difficult and annoying. As someone pointed out earlier, you`re allowed a phone call AFTER you are booked.

But I`m surprised by how many people are saying she deserved a beating. I`m sure as an officer, he had to deal with non-nice individuals all day. But that is no excuse.

She was already restrained in handcuffs. The amount of injuries she sustained were sever. It`s obvious that the camera was turned off for a reason. If she had truly injured herself while struggling, the video would have provided evidence in the officer`s favor.

I`m not into cop bashing and tend to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to questionable reactions, but this blatant abuse.

Obviously the cop was at fault for how he dealt with this woman, but, as I watch the video again, there would be blood spatter everywhere if he was beating her up. It is a very clear possibility that she fell. Most of the blood is in one place.

The cop had to do his job regardless. If the woman HAD been drunk, would you want her on the road?

Again, I am not defending this cop`s actions. He clearly crossed the line several times.

"I ubderstand that she should be booked, then get a call..why didn`t the officer simply explain that to her?"

On youtube there is a full video of what happened. He explained it to her that he had to read her her rights and all that before she got a phone call.

I think that when you break your nose, you do in fact get black eyes HOWEVER I don`t see how she would have fallen face first with such force all by herself. I ubderstand that she should be booked, then get a call..why didn`t the officer simply explain that to her? She was panicking and he could have calmed her down by explaining the process. I find it very suspicious that the camera was turned off. This cop had no reason to use excessive force..she wasn`t drunk, she was handcuffed and she was half his size. I believe he was abusing his power. I`m sure being a cop is not always easy but that is no excuse.
This reminds me of something that I heard years ago, no idea if it`s true...cops have a higher rate than average of being abusive to their wives. Anyone else ever heard this? Just wondering if maybe a certain mentality makes a person want to become a cop (not ALL of them)

I`m not saying she wasn`t beaten but when you break your nose your eyes do swell up. And I`m sure if you broke it hard (bad) enough you could see some color.

I know it`s unlikely but think if she`s being uncooperative with the cop and she trips...she`s handcuffed, the only thing breaking her fall is her face.

Still though, the cop probably did beat her.

Lionhart2, how can you be that stupid! She was handcuffed! He had no cause to beat her, no man has cause to beat a woman! If he was going to arrest her, fine...do it then take her straight to jail, then she CAN sue for false arrest. Oh, I guess it takes a big man to beat a woman who is handcuffed! The video plainly shows HIM throwing her up against the wall TWICE! No injuries like that could ever be caused by a fall, they must think we are stupid to believe something like that...I hope her attorney sues the crap out of them!! I would, and with good reason! Trash like him don`t deserve to be in an authoritative position over anyone else. Bashing cops? I don`t think so, I think the video speaks for itself, and I would say the same thing no matter WHO he beat, there is no excuse for it!! None! No matter how uncooperative she was being, he should have been man enough to just take her to her cell after handcuffing her, he had no cause to arrest her in the first place, she wasn`t drunk! As f

she should`ve cooperated...but seriously..the cop should have criminal charges against him because of one reason...why would he NEED to turn the camera off? and being that she was injured afterwards...i`d say that`s good evidence. he pretty much incriminated himself. lucky for him they won`t do anything about it.

God, this is just awfull!
He`s just smacking her around, not even responding to her questions or appears to be listening to her. There are so many ways the officer could`ve dealt with this more adequately.
And what`s up with people saying: `just listen to figures of authority`..? This officer got fired for a reason thus proving he wasn`t capable of carrying authority...

The Damming thing is that the officer turned off the tape. We should reason as to WHY the officer turned off the tape. For that it is instructive to look at Youtube .Here the lady says that she will not take the breathaliser, She denies 3-4 times. Just after that, the officer cuts the tape.

Why would he cut the tape at that time. If he is doing something legal, the tape would be running. The only reason to cut the tape is because he is going to do something illegal, something he does not want on tape.

That something cost the lady a broken nose.

exactly hydro99 thats why he was fired and not sued.

Im not saying for a fact that he DIDN`T smash her head on the ground. but it doesn`t look like it was a beating or you would think blood would be more around the room then just a concentrated puddle. Maybe bloody knuckles?

I mean hell, if he did beat her you think she would have struggled. She was flailing around the other 99% of the time before the tape stopped.

The fact is that this tape proves nothing. There is not video of the officer beating her. With this in mind, there is also no video of this woman falling. So the only people that really know what happened are the office and the woman. Considering how much she was flailing around and how calm the officer was throughout this process, I would tend to believe that she did fall and it wouldn`t be to far fetched to believe that he probably lost his balance and fell with her causing more force on her face. I can`t say that is what happened. Heck, maybe he did beat her, but the FACT is that NEITHER is PROVED by this tape.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97mytik3-Jo&feature=related

Please watch this and you will see that the cop never acted "violent". The thing that most likely happened was she was handcuffed, flailing around well he was trying to keep her still and in the room, and they fell with her landing face first.

If you have ever wrestled around with anyone you know that you end up falling on the ground. The only reason why she hit her face so hard is because she was drunk and in handcuffs.

The news really only tells the interesting parts of the story, since they are still trying to entertain and get more watchers.

I don`t know why the video was turned off. Yes, the woman was bitchy, but not bitchy enough to get two black eyes and to be covered in blood (I think she had a bloody nose to begin with though). The only way she could have gotten black eyes was by punches, not falling. Too much force was used, and the video camera shouldn`t have been turned off.

Both of these people could have handled this with a lot more tact. But the officer was like the "adult" in this situation and should have found a better way around it as he actually knows what`s going on and what`s about to happen.

This woman in here wasn`t really doing herself any favors though. She should have listened to her rights a little clearer instead of interrupting him. I still wouldn`t peg her as deserving those kind of injuries, even if she was behaving a bit irrational. He`s a cop, he probably sees this quite a bit.

But there is no proof one way or the other. So one of them is lying, or they have had a very bad miscommunication. And it really sucks that we will never know. :-\

So, I`ve decided to go with my little theory. It now seems more likely to me than my first one. And personally, that wife-beating excuse his lawyer is using won`t go over well with any reasonable judge. I suppose that he doesn`t have much going for him in this case anyway.

This would be so much easier if the liar didn`t lie. :-P

Well, after seeing more of it, I have a theory.

From one of the observations someone else made, I think that she might have headed for the door again, but the officer tried to stop her and ended up using too much force as a reflex for handling possibly more violent suspects and threw her into the middle of the room.

I`m more unbiased, I have nothing in favor for either of these people, and I have no need to fight the man or defend the underdog.

I think by the characteristics they both had shown in the video, the woman seemed a bit like the snooty type when she was naming of her connections to some judge, but that also could have been because she was scared and wanted to ensure her safety by naming anyone in a higher position of power than him.

As for him, one of the main things that he did that irritated me was that he didn`t say anything when she asked him why she couldn`t have a phone call, and it doesn`t seem that it would be hard to say it was because she needed to be booke

Why did the officer switch off the tape? Is that standard procedure or is it because he wanted to beat her up? Very fishy. Apparently, this isn`t the first incident involving former police officer Willis. He was clearly out of control and should have called for additional officers.

"The fired officer also received at least two
other excessive force complaints, according to
a report in The Shreveport Times.
Darlene Atkins, a Shreveport resident, filed a lawsuit in 2006 alleging Willis threatened her
son with a gun to his head, according to a report in The Shreveport Times. Willis said he would shoot the boy if family members came closer, according to the lawsuit.

Tomeka Bush, another Shreveport resident, claims in another 2006 lawsuit that Willis seized her car after she filed a complaint against him about the Atkins incident.

The police department did not discipline Willis after its investigation into the 2006 incident. The city denied Willis acted inappropriately."

I don`t know, Im torn. As most know I`m not a big fan of cops, However, up to that point she was acting like a total ass not doing what she was told. You get your phone call AFTER they book you. They have to book you first. She was rather beat up. But I could see it happening both ways, him bashing her head in OR her being an idiot and falling.

She was being an ass up to that point though..

if you watch the whole 4 part video at Youtube, you can draw some straight conclusions

1. The officer wanted her to take the breathalyser.

2. She refused, very emphatically.

3. The officer turned off the tape immediately after.

4. For god knows how long.

5. She turns up in a pool of her own blood.

It is obvious that the officer wanted to rough her up or do something else illegal, so that she would take the breathalyser.

After watching the video, I am willing to bet that
a. Criminal charges are brought against the officer.

b. He is found guilty and will serve jail time.

My first thought after they said "there was not enough evidence to pursue criminal charges" was that there is enough evidence for one of her family members to find him, beat him, and then kill him.

Yes, she wasn`t cooperating, but he also shouldn`t have thrown her around the way he was. When she was sitting in that chair yelling and screaming like she was, she was terrified. Wouldn`t you try to get away from a cop who has handcuffed you and then started throwing you around?

He is just a f#cking pussy for doing that to her in the first place. He should have been thrown in prison and then he`d get what he deserves when the inmates found out he was once a cop.

I hope this douche gets what is coming to him. Come on, if what happened to her happened to a cop, they`d be in even more trouble for assaulting an officer. Wouldn`t be surprised if he beats the girls he`s with too when they aren`t "in line".

Loser pussy bastard.

The most common cause of a black eye is a blow to the eye or nose. Depending on where the blow lands, one or both eyes may be affected.

* A blow to the nose often causes both eyes to swell because the swelling from the nasal injury causes fluid to collect in the loose tissues of the eyelids.

The trailer trash probably got the black eyes from her drunk husband, got drunk herself, and got caught driving to Alabama.

Seriously though, bruises don`t show for quite a while and she was drunk. The eyes could of come from before this scene. Hell who know how much she resisted before she was even taken. Might of gotten them there.

The nose/teeth could of easily been a fall. I mean sure, it could of been a bad cop. but looking at this you see an officer(who you`d like to see as a good person) and a troublemaker. Who would you believe?

I`m not saying he didn`t "manhandle her". BUT 90 percent of the video is him trying to get her into the chair which she is not doing. And if she wasn`t drunk they still are pressing further charges for a DWI, so they have something on her. And how many people let alone those intoxicated have fallen while handcuffed and obviously emotional and not jacked up their face. Odds are, not many.More Broken Nose Symptoms

A lawsuit filed in 2006 accuses Willis of following a boy riding a scooter home, then using excessive force in taking the boy to his patrol car. Willis and the city deny wrongdoing and the lawsuit is pending in Caddo District Court.

Please don`t get me wrong, I know several police officers who do it because they really want to do the right thing and protect people from criminals. But lets be realisitic, only two types of people will take a job that puts your life in danger for mid-level pay on a day to day basis. You are either a really good person, or your a guy with a small dick who only feels like a man when he`s waving a gun or TASER and giving orders.

Here`s a list of more instances when the same officer has used excessive force.

In addition to what Mr. Wiley Willis did to Ms. Angie Garbarino in November, here`s a list of other excessive force complaints filed on him during his 4 years as a Shreveport Police Officer.

The fired officer, Wiley Willis, has been accused in the past of using excessive force during his nearly four years on the police force, sources and court documents indicate:

When he was a rookie, he was suspended for hitting a man in the head with his gun. The police chief concluded he should have holstered the gun and used less potentially dangerous equipment such as a taser or a baton.

Willis was exonerated of wrongdoing last year in an incident in which a man in his custody suffered a broken arm. The man was handcuffed when he fell in the jail, officials said.

To all the people who think she fell:
Watch the video again and listen to the list of injuries. She had bruises on her arms, which wouldn`t happen if she fell. If she fell on her arms, which were supposedly behind her back at the time of the alleged "fall," she would`ve only gotten those bruises and possibly some head trauma and a concussion from hitting the back of her head on the floor. If she fell forward it`s possible that she got injuries on her face, but not likely all of them. If she landed on her nose, where did the broken teeth and the cut on the forehead come from? A broken nose would`ve provided a very sufficient cushion, preventing a hard enough impact to break teeth and get a cut on the forehead. She was far too light for that to have happened.

The other cop videos show them clearly being jackasses, but not this one. The officer seemed calm when handling her. She, on the other hand, was totally uncooperative.

As many have pointed out, a broken nose caused by a bad fall damages cartilages and ruptures blood vessels, resulting in swollen eyes, more so if you`re an alcoholic or have a nose job done.

Not to mention she might have used too much force trying to get away from the officer that when he could no longer hold her, she fell face-first with excessive force.

I`m against the cops on the other videos, but not this one. The scenario that he beat the crap out of her is still plausible, but there`s no evidence.

I-A-B has accumulated quite the plethora of bad cop videos lately, hasn`t it?

Those other videos could have been summed up with "drat da police" but this one?

This one is horrible. I cannot even begin to express my sheer disappointment in the human race.

I don`t even know what happened, but that is horrible! If the cop beat her up, then that is repulsive and grossly uncalled for. If she fell, the cop should have instantly called the ambulance and not waited to watch her bleed. There is no way that you could have BOTH eyes that purple and your nose broken, along with a giant cut on your forehead if you "fell". Maybe if you get hit in the face with a sledgehammer...

Thanks, humans. You are epic fail.

If you look at the video carefully, just before it cuts off, the lady tries to go towards the door one last time. Then you hear a loud thud.

That noise is the most sickening thing that I have heard. It is clear that the cop held her hand and deliverately pushed her against the wall. After that she is seen holding her head down.

The pool of blood at the end really takes the cake.

The officer should be brought up under criminal charges, and the lady should sue the city if it doesn`t.

OK...

Yes, it would have been a whole lot easier if she had conceded to a breath test. But (correct me if I`m wrong) she is perfectly within her rights to decline. And you don`t need a reason to excercise your rights. The fact that you felt like it is enough.

However, she is wrong to insist on a phone call before being read her Miranda rights. You get the call after that. The officer also has the right to use reasonable force to prevent you from resisting arrest, which she was clearly doing.

Simple forensic science will tell whether the bruises were the result of a punch or a fall. It looks like a hell of a lot of damage just from falling on the floor. She was stretchered out.

I sincerely doubt that turning off the camera is ever part of procedure, and if it is, this is a clear example of why the cameras should always be rolling.

Baal, That guy fell off a bike, like you said. Not "fell in the middle of a room while standing up."

While on a bike, your movment is inhibited.
He scrapped the side of his face. Yes he broke his nose, yes sevear breaking of the nose can cause blood vessels to pop under the eyes. That guy seemed to have momentum, and still didn`t manage the feat of breaking capillaries under his eyes.

Pretty funny how you have to compare a guy falling off a bike and scrapping his face to somebody who "fell all by herself in the middle of a room"

That girl was at least forcibly pushed to the ground, which I wouldn`t be surprised if the Cop did do just that, but much too hard of a push.

Just a fall from an upright, standing position can`t cause that.

People are sooo ignorant,. this woman did not do that to herself by falling,. another case of a cop with a complex... How convenient that the camera was stopped and turned back on in time to find her battered and bruised in a puddle of blood. Even if she wasn`t doing what she was told, this guy was way out of line, he handled her roughly before the camera was off. If she was out of control, she should have been left by herself til she regained composure.

I can`t believe that cop`s attorney. She fell? Are you kidding me? Are you even looking at the picture of her? Now with that amount of injury to her face it is possible that she fell......But it would have to be at least 30 feet from the ground. Maybe the officer got the girl and pushed off the police station roof then brought her back to the room.

Now of course I agree that she should have just relaxed and sat down but I highly doubt the officer had to beat the crap out of her. She was already in the police station and she was handcuffed. She was not going ANYWHERE. No purpose at all to do that crap.

One thing I wonder is why he turned the camera back on. I wonder if he is insane or something.

The camera being off isn`t evidence either way:

If he beat her, then he`d do it with the camera off.

If she fell over whilst trying to leave the room, she`d do it while he was some distance away with his back to her, i.e. when he turned the camera off.

A possible answer to an earlier point about a bruise on her arm - maybe she hit her arm when she drove into the cars or the pole before someone called the police because she was driving that badly.

She split her lip before the police arrived, probably when she drove into the pole. So maybe she banged her arm, too.

The description says she wasn`t drunk - how was that proved? If it was, were tests done for other drugs? You don`t normally drive into a few parked cars and a pole if you`re sober.

I agree Angilion, there`s just not enough evidence to be certain, although I`m leaning more towards the beating. It`s to much of a coincidence that the camera was off. And notice how he`s being nice to her (kind of) after she "fell". Like when you punch your brother, but you`re nice to him so he won`t tell dad.

"A fall can cause a broken nose. Now explain her two eyes and a pool of blood?"

A fall can cause those, too. Severe damage to the nose can cause black eyes and an impact hard enough to break a nose could also cause black eyes (they`re not that far back from your nose). An injury to a nose alone can cause the loss of quite a lot of blood and it doesn`t take that much blood to make a puddle on a flat surface. There could be some blood from injuries to the mouth or tongue caused by teeth.

Maybe he beat her up, maybe she fell. Her injuries don`t prove either.

"A fall can cause a broken nose. Now explain her two eyes and a pool of blood?" Black eyes are caused by the rupturing of blood vessels. So it can easily happen by falling flat on your face. The pool of blood is obvious if you ever saw someone break their nose. Also an alcoholic tends to bruise easier.
"Officer still at fault, this happened during his watch and he never read her, her rights."
She was not under arrested at the time. she was brought in for questioning therefore she did not need her rights read.

First of all, why was he the ONLY person in that room with her! Where was a female officer? They purposely have female officers on call to deal with the Females so any "allegations" towards Male officers can`t be fabricated!! Secondly, Where the hell is everyone else at that police station? He subjected himself completely by being the only one in the room. Stopping the tape? That would go against policy, video footage is to protect police from wrongful lawsuits. He deserves whatever comes to him! I hope she gets a nice Jewish attorney!!!
(I am a Jew) or the ACLU, and OWNS the police dept! Test said she wasn`t DUI,I`d be pissed too if I was hauled in, and then slammed against the wall! Screw bad cops, they have been getting away with this crap for YEARS!!!Sorry,to all the good ones....but oh well!!!

Actually one thing.

Do you have any idea how many lawyer tricks are used in presenting this video?

1) Telling you what you are about to see before you see it. "Cop beats up woman" in the description of the video.

2) Trying to make you think there are more facts available than not. "All caught on tape!!!!" (Actually none of it is caught on tape).

3) "And she wasn`t even drunk!!!!". She never took the test, so was never convicted of DUI. She did however have three car accidents trying to get out of a parking lot.

You know what I want to see in just one of these videos, out of the (what, 11? 12 so far?).

"Just step right over here madam"
"Certainly officer"
"Could you just breathe into this please"
*Breathes*
"Thanks"
"You`re Welcome"
.......
.......
*Beats the poo out of her with a baton*

THAT would justify another video on here.

If prosecutors who have more facts of the case as well as medical experts and the woman to speak to decided that there is insufficient evidence to press charges, maybe, just maybe, we should give the cop benefit of the doubt ("innocent until proven guilty" ring any bells?) and not automatically peg him as some woman-beating, abusive, violent, powerdrunk guy?

Not saying he is or isn`t. Just trying to keep an open mind.

Proper procedure my ass, she caused the entire damn thing by not just sitting the drat down and listening.

I was in the Canadian RAF for five years, people fell while on parade. (Standing at attnetion for 2 hours, sometimes more) They fall unconsious, hands at their side or behind their bacls, land on their chins, chipping teo front teeth.

Not one of them had a broken nose.

Sure, if she ran and then face slammed, (did you see the size of that room?) that would have been different, but don`t go telling me that she toppled over like a board, her knees would have buckled, unless she was pushed to the ground, thats something else.

And even there, human reflex would make you look up, slamming on your chin.

*** But, if she just did what the cop said, this would not of happened ***

SPrinkZ, first: don`t call me a jackass, you jackass!

Second: did I say she deserved to be brutalized? (No, I didn`t even say she WAS brutalized)

I did say that it was unfortunate what happened to her. However, whether she fell or was beat up (which, once again, we don`t know for sure), she was definitely escalating the situation by resisting a police officer while in custody.

Third: Don`t try to put words in my mouth.

Fourth: If it was my mother, this would not have happened. In my household, we`ve been taught to think before we act. She would just go through the booking process, give me a call and I`d bail her out.

I`ll even repeat what I said before so you can absorb it better. If she wasn`t escalating the situation, she would: a) not fall down and break her jaw; or b) most probably not get beat up (the cop was perfectly calm and corteous until she started screaming and trying to escape).

Fifth: Yes, I am serious. Always.

Incidentally, one thing which is not police procedure, and the one thing greatly in his favour, is to turn the camera back on.

There is no reason to turn the camera back on once she refused to be tested other than his claim "To document her injuries".

Other theories are welcome..... but any misconduct would benefit from keeping the camera turned off.

1) "It is police policy for an officer to turn off the videotape of a sobriety test when testing is over and the officer is preparing to book the offender."

2) "It is police procedure to turn the videotape off after a suspect has not agreed to be tested."

3) Yes, you can injure yourself that badly if you fall on your face while handcuffed.

4) She was definately drunk. Before police showed up, she hit 2 parked cars, and a pole, trying to get out of a casino parking lot.

5) You get your phone call at the end. The police don`t have to stop by a payphone on the way to the station because you demand your phone call, they don`t have to give you their cell in the middle of a drug bust. You get the phone call at the end of processing.

But yea, no evidence aside from logical deduction. He was fired, which is what should have happened. The system works.

This video came from my hometown in Louisiana. The story is true and has constantly been in the news since it happened. The officer has been fired but is appealing against it. (Hopefully the appeal will be denied).
In some ways, this isn`t totally surprising because Louisiana`s government is filled with corruption on all levels. Governor-elect Bobby Jindal is the first to combat the corruption head-on, issuing a special section on ethics upon his inauguration.

She is very stupid. Appearently, watching Law and Order or similar shows gives her knowledge of when she can make the phone call that is beyond a cop that makes arrests on a daily basis. You get to ask for a phone call once the booking procedure is done. Simple.

Because of her idiotic behavior, even if she accuses the cop of beating her up, there`s not enough evidence for a trial because it`s her testimony against his. He actually would have more credibility because while the tape was on he remained calm while she was throwing fits.

Regardless of what misfortune happened to her, she was in the wrong and none of this would`ve happened if she could control herself and comply. Even if it happened (maybe he was just dead set on beating a complying arrestee), pressing charges would`ve been a lot easier.

Granted, I don`t blame the cop for handcuffing her and making her sit down - she needed to listen to authority. When she was told to stay seated, then guess what - she should`ve done what he said.

Now, as far as the cop... I can understand that he is frustrated because she wasn`t doing what he told her to do, but there is no reason to beat the hell out of her. There is NO way that happened just by her falling - she looked at the camera and her face did NOT look like it was bleeding.

Plus, the cop was quoted as saying it happened on the way into the station - ummm.. yeah, that is a lie! But then the lawyer said that while she was in that cell, she fell. So, did she fall twice, or did they not get their story straight?

Some cops take their authority W-A-Y too far... I hope she sues him so much it effects his grandchildren & great-grandchildren!

1. Those are bruises of someone who just got jumped in a gang fight and bashed in the face over and over again. I don`t think the cop did that in such a public place... But i also can`t rule that idea out due to the amount of blood on the ground and the fact that i think, i think, it`s slightly illegal for news people to photoshop a picture cause that would fall somewhere under slander, making the whole thing seem much worse than it is.

2. But! she wasn`t being compliant, very loud and very annoying and she kept demanding a phone call when she wasn`t booked. You get a phone call after your booked, not before.

It`s amazing how common this is becoming. I tried to think of a few reasons, and this was all I came up with.

* People being arrested are more arrogant than the used to be and aren`t worried of pissing off cops.

* Cops are more arrogant than they used to be and still think that they can get away with sh*t like this.

* People aren`t as scared of cops as they used to be and are weeding out the bad eggs.

* The world has gone MAD.

My money is on the last bit. :-P

Anywho, as far as THIS particular incident goes, I can see the view both ways, but I`m more inclined to think that the cop turned off the camera to "straighten her out" in a way. I know, an obvious thought, but don`t get me wrong. I don`t think all cops are bad, in fact, someday I hope to be one, it`s just the crooked ones that need bad attention so people can be more cautious when handling a cop. Those guys are loose cannons.

It is interesting why so many have lost their faith in cops. I can see why though

Then to top it off I was with my 19 year old friend. (I`m 39) and the cop was asking me if I was a teacher and the age of my friend. No I was not with a minor to have sex with him. He was gay anyway.

This was clearly her fault. First of all she was in an accident, she prob hit someone which is why they took her in on suspected DUI. SHe was being very uncooportive and simply would not follow what the officer said. And YES, if you fall face down without your hands to help take some impact you can get black eyes. That can happen when you get a nosejob. AFter surgery, you can have puffyness and black eyes. So Imagine hitting the floor with your face with the entire force of gravity.. you can easily look like her. She prob tried to fight him when he said he was going to put her in a holding cell, which is why he would have turned the camera off. Just do what the cops ask in that situation, completly her fault.

Lionhart2, you live in a fantasy world. that cop was wrong. she was being a bitch but she did not deserve what she got. she lost a lot of blood AND she was not even drunk. I would be pissed as well. He turned off the vid to beat her down. not all cops are bad but the ones that are need to be exposed.

"Moral of the story....respect authority and don`t drive drunk."

are you drating retarted? she wasnt drunk, which was said in the news segment. watch the vid before acting retarted.

and to all those "well, she deserved, the cop was right, blah blah blah" poo, why wasnt the lawyer able to say that the vid was turned off for a valid reason, and those cameras DONT go off, even if theres nobody in the room. you people are retards.

"That`s right, another "bash the cops" video... that cow was resisting and failing to do what she was legal obliged to do, and she totally threw herself to the floor when he tried to control her against the wall. I reckon he turned the vid off to take her to a cell so he was leaving the room, then she threw herself against the wall to injure herself so he thought he better get the video on again quick. She was totally uncooperative and he had every right to require her to stay seated and take the test, so I hope she gets the butt sued off her by the cop not the other way round!"

yeah, your retarted. riddle me this, jackass, how would she manage to get 2 massive black eyes, annihilated shoulders and chest, and 2 teeth knocked out by a single fall? dumbass.

This “bad” cops and “good” cops thing is ridiculous they are just as much human beings as the rest of us. Believe me, I in know why defend abusive behavior howeer and it should be punished just like anything else.

This girl was obviously freaking out, she was just in a car wreck you don’t know how that may have effected her wits. She was probably so scared and angry and on top of that not being able to get a hold of someone you needed when you were terrified and being treated insensitively by some cop that thought you were drunk.

In this situation all I see is 1.big cop man, 2.small angry handcuffed girl, 3. He couldn’t handle her without beating her up or letting her cause harm to herself? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? If she was such a handle full why was there no one else to help?

what a bitch. hopefully she gets charged. she did not have a right to call someone being that she was not booked. She probably tried to run away and the cop tried to stop her. He must have did it harder than he thought and she got bruised. I`m really white and get bruised easily. Also alcoholics bruise easier.

I`m getting a little tired of all the "cops are bad" videos at the moment...

There are a couple of things that make me believe that she fell.

Her arms were cuffed behind her back. You fall without your arms to break the fall and you hit the floor pretty hard - most likely breaking the fall with your nose.

Bruising around the eyes can look pretty horrific, but swelling and bruising of the eyes are symptoms of a broken nose - and if the break was pretty bad, you`d expect bad swelling.

She also asked if this was being documented on tape, and having discovered it was said "good". I think she was playing up to get the cop in trouble anyway...

Fell, my hat. You don`t get busted up that badly after a fall. Ask my 79 year old nana.
He had no right to beat her that way or even be as forceful with her as was seen on camera. She was handcuffed, so how violet could she have been towards him to cause him to blow up on her?
This is a case of an abusive man who used his authoritive power to prey on a woman he decided he didn`t like.

You know...I watched it, I realize she "should" have been more cooperative. BUT.

Too much.

When he cuffed her, she tried to turn around and he slammed her against the wall... That was enough. But turning off the camera, beating her worse than Jennifer Lopez in "Enough"... That was excessive.... So I say, too much.

Lol her injuries well caused when she fell? poo, she must have fallen down twenty flights of stairs that we just continently missed somewhere in the room... I`m sure it was just coincidence that the cop decided to stop the tape before she ... fell.

even if you dont do what a cop tells you to do...

that in no way gives them the right to do physical

or emotional damage to someone they have arrested.

Even if she cant sue for assault, she should be able to sue for false arrest.

If you believe this chick fell, theres something seriously wrong with you.

The guy defending the police force is worse then the cop who did it.

Yeah, she fell. After all, it`s completely common for one to get two black eyes, a broken nose, and a bruised face when you fall, right?

All those injuries to the face, that is just vindictive. It also seems strange that turning off the camera would be standard procedure?

In his defense, she was being very bitchy in the first place, though that still doesn`t justify being beat up.

Seriously, all the douchebag cops have something in common: large bellies. I REALLY think it must be something in their diet to make them retarded this way.

2000th post day!

Yeah, you get a phone call after booking. The stupid b#$%@ wouldn`t comply and you can get two black eyes from breaking your nose, especially by falling on it. How come everyone is so quick to bad-mouth cops, but always defend the stupid and idiotic?

Everyone deserves a good beating now and then anyway.

Panicdevil23: How would she freakin get so many injuries in a simple fall!

Watch the video again--the cop turns off the camera for who knows how long. When the camera switches back on, she`s in a pool of her own blood.

2- Cooperate and sh°t like this doesn`t happen. Serisouly. Learn to shut the f°ck up and do as you`re told by authority figures.

That is terrible! How would she freakin get so many injuries in a simple fall! If she fell her nose would be broken, and her eyes wouldnt be that swollen, unless someone pushed her down with incredible force.
