wine glasses make such an interesting sound. the orchestra here in my college recently had a guest performer do a concerto for wine glasses.

DAAAAAMN. That`s crazy. I`d recommend a synthesizer, but that`s still really cool.

for some reason, this reminds me of the high-pitched, magical-ish glowy sound from legend of zelda: OOT. at least that long note he holds and the beginning does.

I think you mean it sounds like the ocarina? I think it does too.

Sorry to kinda ruin it, but it looks like the video is sped up. Maybe it`s not, but the water in the glass was sloshing around kinda fast in some parts.

I saw this thing on TV...I think they called it a "Water xylophone" or something like that, it worked on the same principles. Basically it was a bunch of glass bowls on a horizontal pole that was turned by a motor, and by running your wet fingers along the edges of the different sized bowls, you could make different tones.

so...at one point, the wine glass was a conventional instrument.

Very very very beautifully done. Well played, and very entertaining. And he`s a street performer? Should be on America`s Got Talent or something, at least.

And I dunno, this may be harder as you have to tune each glass by yourself and make sure they`re playing the right notes and all, EvilM.

Impressive. There are harder, more conventional instruments to play, but a little variety`s always cool.

Man, I cant even pick up a wine glass without chipping it.

And this reminds me of Guitar Hero for some reason.

WINE GLASS HERO! Combine both the musical stardom AND the excessive alcohol consumption of a real rock star! :D
