if im just counting my money i do it the first way shown. think it said thats how they do it in china and japan. if im counting money out to pay someone and its a large amount i might do it the american/british/canadian way but most of the time i do it the chinese/japaneses way. also most people i know do it that way.

i dont keep money in my wallet cause its to thick with other cards and things. i keep it in my pocket folded in half so its natural to take it out folded in half and count it that way.

I`m a cashier, so I have to count money a lot.
What I do it put it onto the counter, while running my thumb at the top edge. This is because on Canadian bills there`s raised ink there, so I feel for that so I can see if it`s counterfeit or not, while acting like I am not checking, in order to be sneaky. :P
Put if I am counting money from my till (not from a customer) then I do it the way that it was show in Canada.

The American way is the best, that`s when you WAVE the money in front of your date, ensuring the high probability that you may get laid. Or, she may think you`ll spend the money on her all night and stick with you. Or, if she dosen`t, you`ll have enogh for the hooker. Or, if not you can pay a dollar to Mani-Jac`s mother for a blow job.

I use atleast 4 of those methods a week, when counting tips.
A hint at the countries` cultures can be seen in how the money was counted.

I don`t count my money any of those ways... Am I the only one who sorts their cash? I have my 1s and 5s in one sleeve 1s right side up and 5s upside down. Then 20`s right side up and 50`s upside down. Then I open my wallet sleeves and count the ones faced up then faced down.

Also do that when counting by hand.

No sane person counts money like this in Russia. By the look of it, you`re getting a handful of papercuts while counting this way.

To Dooked, BroadwayLove and others telling us about cash counting machines: do you always take it with you? Sometimes you just have to count manually.

first count i do is the american way, so that i can arrange the bills so they are all facing the same direction (top of head to the right, in order from lowest to highest). then i fold the stack in half and flip the front part of the bill down (sort of like the asian way, but no really).

Innacurate, yes. I lived in Kenya (it`s in Africa, check a map!). Most people I ran into counted money the same way America/Canada does, according to this vid. Still interesting how many different ways there are to count bills and keep them neat, though. I`m going to deliberately start counting it different, to throw off the statistics! Buwahahaha!!
