The Muppets in a Wizard of Oz remake with Quentin Tarantino behind the camera? If it happens, I"ll be the first in line.

Yeah, sure you love Tarantino.. Apart from him not directing Desperado. It was Robert Rodriguez, who`s a good friend of him. They`ve got similar styles though.

NarlyCharly, I stand corrected
Wikipeda:
Desperado is a 1995 film written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. The film stars Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. It is a sequel to Rodriguez`s earlier film El Mariachi, although the storyline isn`t fully linear nor are all the events connected. This is the second entry in his "Mariachi Trilogy", which culminated in 2003 with Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Whenever I see Tarantino, I either think of "Royale With Cheese" or The Commode Story...

BTW. Desperado wasn`t a remake of El Mariachi. Rodriguez explained that it was the sequel to it, even though Gallardo (The original El) was replaced with Bandaras. But Gallardo makes a small appearance in Desperado as one the Mariachi`s that El fights with (I believe he had the machine gun guitar case?).

I haven`t seen if anyone has yet replied to larajunky`s post yet...in fact, I don`t want to. Because I want to take this one. Lara...Quentin Tarantino did not direct Desperado. It is a remake, sort of, of Robert Rodriguez`s film El Mariachi...Rodriguez directed Desperado as well.

@Larajunky:
Tarantino didn`t direct Desperado, his friend Robert Rodriguez did. And I am pretty sure it isn`t a remake.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOLD NEWS. It`s already on DVD ... it`s been MADE.

Anyway, the movie isn`t bad because Tarantino`s directing it ... it`s family friendly ... it`s just weird XD

Tarantino has done a lot of work with the muppets and sesamee street before. This is not his first venture into the realm of children`s media.

Not exactly new... Kinda was released last year. In fact this scene IS from The Muppet`s Wizard of Oz. It stars Ashanti, and Queen Latifa.

Something tells me most of his movie pitches go this way, but instead of toning it down, he makes a mental list of stuff to make even more violent.

I was going to pitch a spoof of the Wizard of Oz after the Writer`s Guild Strike, but I can drop that project if Tarantino beats me to it.

With all these little people posts lately I expected some midgets, it IS the Wizzard of Oz after all. But morphing muppets are cool too I guess.

I`m sorry for quibbling, Windrider15, but Rizzo said "Witch-slapped." `Cause Ms. Piggy was the Wicked Witch.

All the morphing DOES sound pretty wicked (pun intended), but I am NOT comfortable with the image of Scooter transforming into a busty vampire babe. :-/
Even less so, with Busty Vampire Babe exploding in a sea of crimson blood.
