Oh shut the hell up you sad people. They actually got up from their computers and found someone who likes them and likes the same things they do. All of these people will probably have great marriages. (At least all the geek marriages I know of are still going strong, unlike all those "cool" people that got divorced within 5 years.)

And no, I am not a geek.

Damn, not even 24 hours into 2008 and you guys got me annoyed. :P

what was geeky about the kilts? Maybe they were *gasp* scottish. All the bridesmaids were dressed normally as was the bride so there`s propably nothing strange about those folks.

some of them were simply honouring traditions, but, for the most part, they are all fairly impressive and kinda cute. i for one would definitely, and do hope to, have an unorthodox wedding. if there`s one thing i can`t stand it`s the `white wedding` sh.it most people feel they have to abide by and fork out thousands on. i hate that people think these themes are geeky simply because it`s not the norm - who the fu.ck are you to judge how they should consumate their love - although i also hate the fact that people think they have to sign a legally binding contract to show how much they love eachother. but yeah, fu.ck white weddings. "let`s show everyone how much we love eachother by having a weeding that costs far too much money and is identical to every other boring person`s wedding".

I understand it`s not everyone in this clip, although in this instance I`d prefer NOT to give the benefit of the doubt and KILL them ALL... and aspects of Shinto and Buddhism make me think it`s okay for Japanese people to do this kind of thing whereas it`s not okay for Westerners: I find that I`m unable to feel pity for people who want to act like Jedi is a legitimate religion, just dumping their own heritage. In fact I feel offended by them to the point of feeling violent about them. It`s like an entire generation just threw all questions of spirituality out the window instead of trying to learn in any true way. It`s a consumerist dilemma. The end product is the production of poo.

Comic book spirituality is much worse than nothing at all. (My personal opinion is that furby fetishes are worse than real bestiality, i.e., I think it`s more deranged and medically dangerous in the long run to get off by playing non-human dressup than it is to copulate with actual animals.)

    End of rant

I find seeing people getting married in kilts nearly as amusing as gettig married by a borg to be honest. It`s probably fair enough if you were born in a stormy castle in scotland on a bed of heather but it`s still only one step up from having a stormtrooper as a best man.

WNLD - what crawled up your vagina? Who said this had /anything/ to do with any sort of religion? It`s a wedding, not the building of a church. What`s wrong with having a wedding that has no real religiousness whatsoever?
I, myself, plan on having a somewhat themed wedding, should I ever get married. I think it would be fun! Besides, I`m not really a religious person, so I don`t want some old minister/preacher dude asking me to say `I do` under word of some god I don`t believe in. Bleh.

Why the f*ck were the guys in kilts included in this? In Scotland it`s completely normal to wear kilts for formal occasions, in fact the guys seem to look for any excuse to wear them these days lol. The only thing wrong with that pic was that the kilts were all different tartans, which did look a bit bad.
