There are some people in this world who just need to be led blindfolded into a dark alley where they will be beaten to death with Whiffle bats by burly men named "Rocco" and "Philly".

I guess there`s a price you pay for living in a country with free speech... But at least you`ve got the right to just not listen.

I`ve still no time or patience for your facetious bullsh*tting, so my point stands. And I`ll tell you this: anyone who takes the effort to come back and post in this topic buried (as of now) 9 pages deep from the front page and take jabs at me while yet shying away from publicly addressing my points doesn`t hold much merit or credibility in my book.

You claim not to browse this site regularly enough to carry on a discussion but I ask you: what reason would I have to not check this particular post while continually anticipating someone`s attempting to refute my arguments? Have I not demonstrated sufficient resilience for you? Post away; I`ll check often.

I enjoy berating people? Be fair: I lampoon the ridiculous arguments people make and not necessarily the people themselves. Occasionally, but not always. Certainly not often enough to justify claiming I enjoy berating people.

By the way, I already have "done it" in private messages. Shoot Suicism a message for me and see how he`s doing, will ya? Speaking from experience, it`s not nearly as entertaining as when someone publically and boldly says something utterly preposterous.

What does that mean and how does it pertain to patience? I visit and post on this site regularly because it`s accessible and has plenty traffic. I actually have oodles of patience but not for a single individual who is just as unwilling to communicate through my outlet.

With that said, mind addressing my above points?

"You talk about being open minded, but you`re really just so full of it. Every time a religious nut comes around you blame religion."

I blame religion because it provides a convincing and reinforcing outlet for those already inclined to commit heinous acts. There are many reasons why people commit public violence but religion has been a profound motivator for such deeds all throughout history. I feel it is at least one such motivator humankind has the power to do away with.

"Well I guess evolution breeds nuts, but would you blame evolution?"

Actually it doesn`t. No evolution textbook calls for the mass murders of creationists or non-evolutionists. You`re intentionally dumbing down the argument to the point of ludicrousness. You give me anything more than an isolated incident of someone killing in the name of evolution and I won`t decide to ignore your argument by statistical negligibility.

"Overmann you simply have a misunderstanding of the Bible and its message."

I`m sorry, sir, but I completely disagree. It simply isn`t *possible* to have a misunderstanding of the Bible and its message because it doesn`t have a *single* message. I can choose to interpret the Bible however I please and find satisfactory verses to support my thesis because it`s so contradictory. Did God supposedly write the Ten Commandments in the New Testament? No, they were written in the Old, and yet there exist numerous passages in the Old Testament where God himself asks man to contradict the Ten Commandments when He says they are justified (read: when men thought they were justified).

You can`t sit there and tell me I`m misunderstanding the Bible when you seem to believe it projects a single coherent message. As far as contacting you outside IAB, I don`t have the patience. I will read private messages submitted through here, though.

"Well I guess evolution breeds nuts, but would you blame evolution? Would you hell. It`s ONLY when religion is involved that you even bother to tag it."

Atheism in no way encourages the murder of non-atheists. Christianity encourages killing just about everyone who isn`t Christian, as well as burning the entire town a non-Christian lives in. Your religion does not make you crazy. But having little passages that tell you that killing infidels will give you a ticket to Heaven can easily send an already-crazy person way over the edge.

Not to mention the fact that religion directly opposes the progression of science, and has, in fact, killed incredible numbers of people.

Or do you think that Galileo deserved to be burnt at the stake for suggesting that `Hey, maybe the Earth isn`t the center of everything?`.

Hey looky an atheist.

I guess they must all be like that right?

You talk about being open minded, but you`re really just so full of it. Every time a religious nut comes around you blame religion.

Back in 2007 Finland had a school shooting with a guy declaring:
"I am prepared to fight and die for my cause, . . . I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection. No, the truth is that I am just an animal, a human, an individual, a dissident . . . . It’s time to put NATURAL SELECTION & SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST back on tracks!"

Well I guess evolution breeds nuts, but would you blame evolution? Would you hell. It`s ONLY when religion is involved that you even bother to tag it.

Complete hypocrisy.

"yet not a single one of those were in the new testament. Those we believed were the times when God viewed everyone with wrath, he killed a lot of his own people."

That has no bearing on my argument whatsoever. You seem to suggest that man acted on not knowing what the Lord wanted in those times, which translates to man making assumptions about God and His Will absent any input from God himself, which is exactly how things would have been were there no God at all. The Bible was written by man and it shows. It wasn`t until another man supposedly came around with the brilliant idea that we should be nice to each other and learn to get along.

I don`t need to list some nasty bits in the New Testament in order to claim there is violence and hate in the Bible, understood?

"You can`t blame people for what they did in the past if they stopped it."

What? They are *not* the same people so yes, I *can* hold them accountable for what they`ve done. They`re rapists.

yet not a single one of those were in the new testament. Those we believed were the times when God viewed everyone with wrath, he killed a lot of his own people. If they can list a justified rape in the New Testament, then you have an argument. You can`t blame people for what they did in the past if they stopped it. Rape wasn`t justified after the New Testament, and that`s when Christianity started. So where`s the problem?

"...in accordance with morals back then."

Wait a second. What does that mean? Are you saying that it may have been considered moral - and therefore condoned by God and Christians - to rape women? There is no context out of which this can be misconstrued:

"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house."

It is rape, only the Bible seems to like referring to it as `making her your wife`. Is this or is this not the Bible condoning rape? How can you honestly claim it is not?

This woman is just crazy.. plain & simple. Being a Christian didnt make her that way.

As for the Bible crap: I am a practicing catholic and even my priest knows that the Bible was written many years ago by men who believed lambs blood would keep out the plague (!) & should not be taken literally. If you read the stories of Jesus Christ, you`ll understand why the Bible is still around. I, myself, think the Bible should only include them.. and we should do away with the ""If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her " & that sort of thing... but I guess then it would be altering the original work.

You people need to smarten up.

And we see how well that worked:
"Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the women of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he seized her and lay with her and humiliated her. And his soul was drawn to Dinah the daughter of Jacob. He loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her. So Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, “Get me this girl for my wife.” Genesis 34 verses 1-4"

This was a case of pressured seduction and/or fornication. If an unscrupulous man felt at liberty to have sex relations with a virgin, she would be the primary loser. Besides the possibility that she might have an illegitimate child, her value as a bride was diminished, for many Israelites might not want to marry her once she was no longer a virgin. The option of divorce disappeared after premarital fornication. This, then, might cause a man (or a virgin woman) to resist a temptation to share in fornication. A man could not feel, ‘She is pretty and exciting, so I’ll have a good time with her even though she is not the sort I’d like to marry.’ Rather, this law would deter immorality by causing any would-be offender to weigh the long-term consequences of fornication—having to stay with the other party throughout his life.

"Secondly, it`s not "raping a woman" that one must pay 50 shekels for, it is seducing a virgin into fornication."

Uhm, no, it isn`t. It says: "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl`s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV

Keep in mind, the NIV is a newer translation, it`s not the same archaic King James Version.

The first scripture with their kidnapping the women was not condoned by God. The scripture after that ends says that they did what they felt like doing because they had no physical leadership and you`re forgetting that we have no idea the context of those relationships in accordance with morals back then.

Secondly, it`s not "raping a woman" that one must pay 50 shekels for, it is seducing a virgin into fornication.

Says who? On whose authority? While I have no inclination to hate such people, I do criticize the act of spreading religion. I feel people should be allowed to seek out their own truth without the obstruction or intrusion of others. If one is interested in Christianity then that religion is certainly popular enough for one to know how to find out more if one is interested. What I criticize is Christians making the assumption people *should* be interested in hearing more of Christianity in addition to assuming they know not enough about it already. Leave me to my business and I won`t bombard you with atheist propaganda, as I assure you it is considered fair game in some atheist communal rings to mock religionists anywhere they are found; be grateful I am not like such people.

Justified in raping women? Why, I`ve never read such a thing in the Bible and I`ve read it cover to cover. True, God`s judgements on unrighteous men were violent and brutal, BUT God is not interfering now and our sense of morality has changed over the years (evolved, some might say) even though God may not have changed. Simply put, we can`t test a supernatural all-powerful being by our own beliefs and morals...and if we can`t do that, then we can`t use those scriptures to prove he`s a "hateful" God thought up by men, especially since his son preached tolerance and love for everyone.

"Atheism...always looking for an excuse to deride the Bible. It`s honestly pathetic."

Atheists are not `always looking for an excuse to deride the Bible`. We don`t need one; there are plenty of specific verses that cannot be misconstrued or taken out of context that are violent, hateful, intended to cause ill-will. No I will not go back and quote them for you as I`ve not the time, but if you want to be honest to yourself you can find those verses to which I refer just as easily on-line. We`re not seeking to find "excuses" to criticize the Bible; there is plenty in there as it is worth criticizing.

"It`s also amazing how atheists can take a thousand scriptures and put them out of context."

The converse works as well: some scriptures *need* to be put out of context in order to comply with basic morality and common decency. Men told they`re justified in raping women? It`s in there and while it is, Christianity cannot be a peaceful relig

Yes, and no. The thing is, the world doesn`t care if you`re following the Good Word or not. What we see are a bunch of fanatics that are overly zealous about their religion. I know there are good ones out there, but I also know people who take the words "Go out and spread the gospel" a bit too literally and run around demanding everyone else be like them and calling themselves Christian.

mrcristo, you actually excluded a vital part of the definition to which you adhere, vital so because it nullifies your argument.

From your definition:

"Chris·tian (krĭs`chən) Pronunciation Key
adj.
Professing belief in Jesus as Christ *OR* following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus."

Note the emphasized `or`. One need only believe in him to be considered Christian. It says nothing of his way of life or that one should follow it; it is the church`s responsibility to encourage people to live as Jesus is supposed to have lived, but if you believe in Jesus and God, whether you live as ideally as you should or not, you are a Christian. Period. Perhaps not a good one, but one nonetheless.

Thank you for your kind statements, catbarf.

There /are/ churches out there that preach that we should kill people who aren`t converting. I know, I`ve been in a couple. I know people who have been kicked out of churches because their clothes weren`t nice enough. A Christian is Christian, just like a Muslim is Muslim. I fully appreciate it was hyperbole, catbarf, but I felt it was a bit strong and I was subtly affecting you to retract it. But if you do indeed choose to do more research concerning Dawkins, keep in mind that he is seeking to disrespect the belief and not the person holding the belief (and yes, there is a difference) and regard him in that context. He`s not the devil he`s made out to be.

If I might make a video recommendation that I feel best represents Dawkins, check out his `Enemies of Reason` vids on YouTube, particularly regarding so-called "alternative medicine". He is first and foremost against irrational beliefs and as a consequence of that, disrespects religion.

Jesus or show a loving concern for other.

If Jesus can exist, then a person can be a TRUE Christian. This woman obviously was not a true Christian because she would not have been shouting racial epithets when the Bible says "[34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God has no partiality [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

So don`t take scriptures of God`s judgement from the Old Testament out of context to try to prove your point. It doesn`t work.

The Hebrew word "reem", sometimes translated unicorn, is found nine times in the Old Testament. Modern scholars, though, have eliminated much confusion over the reem. Lexicographers Ludwig Koehler and Walter Baumgartner show that it means wild oxen, with the scientific identification Bos primigenius. So, before you start accusing people of not reading the Bible, THINK.

And a person who doesn`t believe in true Christians...well, evolution hasn`t done much for them, I`ll tell you that.

As far as my input on the video and the comments is concerned, I don`t suspect the Bible is directly responsible for causing fanaticism but it is certainly not conducive to not causing it. Religion needs only find those individuals with a bone to pick and work it raw until something such as in this link occurs. It`s actually more common than Christians and atheists are comfortable admitting, for different reasons.

I won`t go back and quote everything I disagree with but I will name a few persons with something yet to learn: mrcristo, LKJSlain, Lumpychump, arabking, EstiloPanama, and MissMage. If any of you would like to know exactly what I disagree with so that you may defend yourselves, feel free to ask and I`ll indulge.

Any extention past that, be it, "And I believe youa re going to hell for being an Athiest / gay / Not obeying the Word of God but *Smile* " "I am taking my children to church and telling them the same things, tey are 3 and 4"

And the previous about Demons.

Actually wait, no. My incan Christian Friend, And my two black Friends when I was young who moved away. We`d play lego all day. Theyw ehre awsome.

Is it just me or the best Christians are Black People? I have yet to see or hear about a Black Christian which is "crazy" or "not following the word of god even though they beleive theya re"

KoalaMeatPie, I don`t know why I reposted. Probably because I`m tired and lost my train of thought.

And I agree with you. There are Christians that get on my LAST nerve by overly inforcing their beliefs on people, especially young children. But I think it probably has to do with the family. When Christian fanatics force their own beliefs on their children at such a young age, the kids get brainwashed and end up being a lunatic like their parents. Sad but true.

Christians who actually read more then a page of the bible usually realize this. We christians are against that too, but we can`t help if someone decides to read a page and say they will follow it. the reason why some think that the bible advocates killing is because they only read a small section and think that`s wat it all means. they fail to see the whole bible, you seem not to understand the old to new testament. the old testament says god will punish, the new testament says god will forgive. christianity is based on both, not a single. people do not read the whole, that is why some persist on thinking they shohuld kill athiests

Needless bloodshed is needless. I refuse to support or tolerate someone whose beliefs encourage such bloodshed. If you don`t follow those sorts of bits, then you`re fine. But if you`re against something because it goes against your religion, or conversely if you want a law because of your religion, or if you would *murder* for your religion, I want nothing at all to do with you. Religion is fine. Religion influencing decisions that apply to more than just your religious sect is not fine.

"ross... the bible doens`t advocate that. one of the 10 commandments says "thou shalt not murder" so... i fail to see how that works out."

Right, but the problem is that it`s still there. Removing that passage wouldn`t exactly harm the religion, would it? Yet, such an idea is completely out of the question. And so there will always be such passages, and in turn there will always be people who in their mind convince themselves that non-Christians are subhuman and thus it isn`t murder.

It`s not detrimental for most people, but it does affect some, and with no real purpose. It doesn`t need to be there, yet it is for no possible intent other than malicious. The Bible advocates killing. Simple as that. Regardless of all other sections, this one still says that Philadelphia should be burnt to the ground and all inhabitants killed just because I live here and I`m not Christian. Does that make ANY goddamn sense to you?

It can be interpreted different ways, and says different things on the same issues- some would call them contradictions, but I always think there`s room for multiple meanings. The problem isn`t that there are multiple meanings, just that there are actual meanings (and aren`t exactly a stretch- it`s right there in front of you) by which someone could justify murder.

"Everyone is free to think what they want about the book. But atheists should know that not all Christians are crazy insane about their religious beliefs."

Oh, that would be a horrific stereotype, and bigotry at its worst. It`s just that I`m not comfortable that a religion that has sections advocating killing people like me is the majority in the US. Most people might not follow it, but there are always those few...

Catbarf.. interesting name by the way :P.. lol.. I suppose what bothers me isn`t people sharing their beliefs, and voicing their opinions. Debate is necessary to maintain a democracy. What gets me is our desire to push each other down to prove our own point. We belittle each other, we site examples from sources we don`t completely understand, and we do the unwisest thing of all - we assume that our point of view is the only one. There is an incredibly interesting site I`d like you to check out. It`s about the meaning of life. One `chapter` talks about why there can never be world peace. It`s not religious, it`s not anti religious, and so should be totally unoffensive to anyone.. check it out.. http://users.aristotle.net/~diogenes/meaning1.htm

And as far as doing away with all wars, and peace, and flowers.. even fighting is necessary in it`s own way. Discord has it`s place.

Catbarf, I read your posts and found that interesting. But also somewhere in the Bible doesn`t it say to share your beliefs with those you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ??? Not quite sure because I don`t read up on my Bible verses, but in my church I was taught to share the word to people who do not know God, not to kill them. What about "Thou shalt not murder"???

I just think that there are many different ways to interpret the Bible, and everyone is free to make their own decisions. That`s why there are so many different Christian denominations.

Minjo, I`m not blaming all suffering on religion. I`m not possessed of the ridiculous notion that all atheists are moral individuals. It`s just that religion has, in fact, been responsible for violence in history, has, in fact, been responsible for slowing the development of science, and is, in fact, directly killing people today as well.

But it`s not just that. No, it`s the innate hypocrisy in how people view religion. Say that you hear voices and you`re sent off to an institution. Say that God is guiding you and you`re someone to be respected.

When religions that advocate violence are tolerated and accepted with open arms, violence will result. Should this really continue?

Those who have been respectful enough to consider all sides of the story, and those who are wise enough to know that you have to take everything you learn in this life, and filter it through your mind AND your heart. In my own experience, the pushiest most unpleasent people I`ve met have been hardcore athiests. In my own experience the most disappointed, unhappy people I`ve met were rabid christians. Spending your whole life hating atheists, or christians, or mexicans, or whatever is a total waste of time. There`s always going to be different religions and races, so people should really just get over it a try to live happily. Christians shouldn`t push their beliefs on anyone. If I pray to fairies in the garden, you call me a madman. If I call my fairy God, raise temples to it, pray to it every single day, and devote my whole life to this fairy- you say I am a man to be respected.

Why?

If you should consider praying to fairies to be a mental illness, you must say the same about any religion.

Tolerance, as well, is also a load of crap. On one hand, you say that religion is all good and accepted in spite of most of them advocating killing non-believers (or their entire town- read my post on p5), yet on the other hand you act all surprised when people like Islamic militants follow their religion and kill non-believers.

What the hell did you expect?

Either you kick the religion out the door, or you`re approving that sort of violence by approving the direct cause of it. There is no middle ground.

Find me an atheist who calls for the immediate execution of all theists. For each you do, I can find legions of Christians who want to kill atheists. Take a look here, for starters:

http://www.fstdt.com/fundies/top100.aspx...

I wish it were like that. I really do. The thing is, Mac users never try to insist that, say, disc drives be illegal because it conflicts with the Mac ethos, nor do Mac users declare war on PC users. Metaphors in point: Gay marriage and the Crusades.

The way I see it, don`t push your religion on somebody. Faith (or lack there of) is something you believe for yourself not have forced on you. If anybody forces it on you, for either side, it`s never right and it just causes problems.

Another thing that gets me is how people always want to take the craziest bible-thumping Christians they know and accuse the whole religion (and the Bible) of causing that type of behavior.

However, they never take the worst of the atheists and try to apply the same principle, because if they did, they`d probably be more accurate in stereotyping a group than they are now.

I work at a fast food restaurant and people assume that just because I work there, that I`m going to hell. So they all come up to me and say, "Honey, I think you should read this." And they look at me with shock when I say, "No thanks, I allready go to church." One guy told me I should read it anyway.

There are people in this world who will judge you, like the lady in the clip. We need to ignore them, or put them in a padded room with a straight jacket.

The Bible is made to help people? What are you smoking?

DEUTERONOMY 13

If thou shalt hear [say] in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,[Certain] men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, [if it be] truth, [and] the thing certain, [that] such abomination is wrought among you; Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that [is] therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword. And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

Not entirely true. There are many churches that support this type of behaviour and call it being a `warrior for christ`, much like those people on religious internet forums that spew things such as `atheism should be outlawed` and `gays should be forced to be straight, or be executed` and so on.

I have no data to back this up, but from personal observation I`ve seen that religious people are more inclined to be hateful towards certain groups in society than non-religious people. Nearly every church I have been in, where I have let it be known I am not Christian, has either told me I was going to hell, or told me I wasn`t `right`.

And for those of you who say that Christianity only involves the New Testament, I would like to refer you to Matthew 5, verses 17-20.

Everyone is wrong. The bible doesn`t BRAINWASH anyone. The bible is made to help people in their life, pain, grief and strife. The problem is that people by NATURE take things out of context and in their own hearts are evil/wicked. So, they don`t FOLLOW the bible. They follow their own will, and blow up in coffee shops. I am going through the bible chapter by chapter right now, and as well as learning under someone who is a theology major, and understanding large chunks of jewish history, I can say that this has nothing to do with the bible brainwashing. I think that the problem with this video is that we didn`t see what happened BEFORE hand. I think the problem is that at the very begining, we see her explaining something in an irritated tone, which leads me to believe that these kids were mocking her for being a believer, and then have the NERVE to whip out a camera and start filming her JUST so they can post it on the net. I think that is the problem here.

Hmm... Yes, this is why a lot of you aren`t Christian huh? Because Christianity teaches you to hate people, scream at them, and throw dirt at them?

Wow. In case you were wondering, she was not acting in any way like a true Christian. There are Christians who follow what they believe instead of what the Bible teaches. There are Christians who honestly believe that the Bible tells them nonsensical things such as "interracial marriage is wrong", even though the Bible doesn`t condemn it.

Any good preacher will tell you to always check what someone says to see if it is truly the world of God. Any sane person could tell that this lady is off her rocker.

Ignorance breeds hate. Religion can either be used to restrain oneself from sin (self-destructive activities) or to justify that ignorance and hate. Religion is much like a tool, and like any tool, can be abused.

I am a person of religious beleifs too, but when I see all of these people who are crazy and stuff, It defaces religion. Religion in a nutshell is about peace and harmony (lets not delve deeper into religion for the sake of not exploding into an argument.)
Now then, if everyone was atheist, we would all have the same beliefs and there wouldnt be all this fuss and figting over beleifs. When everyone is atheist, we could all have our own beleifs about other things. Do you guys get where i am going with this?

I`m an atheist. I do not believe in any gods. Blah blah blah, I have no beliefs. Even as being an atheist I don`t blame (fully) Christianity for the behavior of this woman. You might look into the woman`s past and how she was raised as a child, you might look at the Priest or Pastor or whatever that spoke in Church. He could have been one of those mean ones who make you feel like poo and yell at you the entire time. Racism would come either from bad experiences or her parents.

Take the time people to look past your religion and think upon of what really made this woman behave the way she did.

Rant Over. In conclusion, that was pretty f ing funny.

All religions and most sects have a few things in common;

They think they are right.

They`ll defend it to they death (usually).

They`ve ALL killed MILLIONS over the last couple thousand years.

People that believe in ONE of them as being the only truth usually don`t know a whole lot about their religion. (no you don`t..even if you think you do)

Sorry, I`m not claiming to be any part of a religion that has so much blood on it`s hands...and I`m talking about ALL the main religions in this world.

So I suppose I must also concede that when people do things that are good it`s not to do with their religion. Some people are good, some are bad. KoalaMeatPie - absolutely. People have done all manner of things in the name of God. Some good some bad. When it`s been bad there is always another ingredient thrown into the mixture - politics, power, greed, corruption. I don`t really give any regard to the pope - as far as I`m concerned he`s just another person like you or I (apologies to any Roman Catholics here - i mean you no offence). Thus, popes can make mistakes because they are just human which means they can be wrong. As for Heaven and Hell, I`m not sure Jesus ever preached what you suggest, but I`d be happy to be shown where I`m wrong.

Look - let`s stop bitching. There are benign atheists and there are bad religeous folk. Not all religeous folk are bad people, just like not all athiest are benign!

Religeous people are responsible for things like free education, aid agencies, civil-rights, social change (like the abolition of slavery) and other good things. Yes there are wackos out there but it is not religeon or the bible that makes them wackos - it`s ignorance, stupidity and prejudice. When someone is ignorant, stupid and prejudiced they can create all kinds of pretexts for their misguided opinions and actions. This does not excuse them, nor does it expose a flaw in whatever they abuse to create their pretext. It does however expose a flaw in themselves, but it`s so much easier to blame something convenient like religious belief... but then someone who did THAT would be ignorant, stupid and prejudiced.

Yes, Lumpychump, the problem is MANY CHRISTIANS DO TAKE THE BIBLE LITERALLY!
And yes, the bible helps make people fanatics, murderers and genocidal maniacs.

And Berserk505, the woman wouldn’t be so crazy if she hadn’t been brainwashed by the bible!

KoalaMeatPie - that Bible thing - I know it`s supposed to lampoon Christians, but it`s true not all of it is to be taken literally. The poetry is supposed to be understood as poetry, sometimes hyperbole is used, sometimes it`s letters and sometimes it`s to be read and understood literally. The content point I absolutely agree with. Any collection of books and writings involving such a comprehensive bunch of human experience would involve such content. The exposure warning is rubbish though. It`s not the bible that makes people into fanatics, murderers and genocidal maniacs - people are quite able to that themselves. Sure they use religeon or ideology or politics or anything else they can lay claim to in order to mask the fact that they`re bunny boilers (like the woman in the clip - proper bunny boiler there) but that`s not the bible`s fault.

the mexican guy was the one sitting in the chair, dude with a camera was a white guy, you get a quick shot of him at the end. the mexican guy moved from the chair to the couch. looked like he just moved away and it set her off.

"To be honest I think he was baiting her a bit but wow what a huge cup of craaazy!"

Yeah I thought so too, shoving his camera all up in her face like that. But then again, I don`t think it`d take much for her to go mental like that.

"Hypocrite" is the best word to describe her, really. "In the name of Jesus". Like Jesus really did give her authority to insult people of another race, and who is also probably the same religion as she is.

wacko.

Don`t caRe what religion she is. She could be Hindu and still be crazy. Obviously religion has nothing to do with it, she`s just crazy, pure and simple. Racism is a state of mind, nothing we can do about being crazy and racist, just learning to control it some way or the other.

It is sad seeing these strange crazy people. Do you think they grow up thinking, "I want to be insane and stupid when I am older?" I wonder what the heck is going through their minds? Do they just LOSE it???

I`m a Christian too - and I couldn`t even watch it all. She starts by complaining about other people not acting like a Christian... well she was hardly full of the grace and compassion of Jesus there was she. Please nobody think we`re all like that. Perhaps she should sort out her own problems before trying to find fault with others. Jesus said that too... I despair sometimes I really do.
