While I found it creative and funny, I find it so incredibly annoying when a company has to constantly remind the public how great they are for being "diverse" and helping out people with "different abilities." The first ten seconds of the clip were so politically correct I almost stopped watching.

the whole seeing things from a blind person`s point of view reminded me of babel, where the deaf girl is taken to a disco. Really odd, since it takes out the noise in places so you can see how she`s feeling, with everyone around her dancing to nothing.

gilderof-most deaf people have a `sonic alert` thingie that flashes differently for things like the doorbell or the phone(dont know how theyd hold a conversation, though). its really cool. cuz my friends parents are daef, so we can be as loud as we want and they dont even notice. and ive learned words from them, so now i can say hi, and paly, and other stuff.

That`s really funny! I wonder if this would actually work for a deaf person, or if they would feel the vibrations...

A+ for a funny ad that makes use of disabilities, Pepsi, and bonus points for putting us in their world for a while.

"Feel sorry for Bob though. Wonder how he answers his door normally? What happens if he has a parcel and the postman has to ring the doorbell???"

As you can see in the vid, instead of a bell he has a flashing device of some sort. It`s very common, like a flashing light that starts when u push the button or something like that.

Awesome ad. I love deaf people, we had some at my old school and they tried to teach me sign language, but I got all confused and apparently insulted one of them instead of copying properly. Hmm.. So I don`t really want to try to learn it again.

""yeah, ya think?"
haha, great comercial.. but i agree with Batmanners, if i am reading subtitles, i can`t watch the screen =( damn, i`ve gotta learn how to read faster or something..."

Well in my country nothing is dubbed.no films, no series, nothing.EVERYTHING is subtitled. And we don`t have a film industry, all our movies and series are the american/british ones, pretty much. So i have to tell, to get distracted at that means you read really slowly :\, just try to improve your skills or something. Ah, even in the theatres the films are subtitled, so i really can`t understand how reading subtitles would distract you.

^ The general consensus is... CBA - can`t be arsed.

There`ll be a few odd ones, just like there`ll be a few Americans interested in the World Cup.

Just out of curiosity...

Are a lot of Europeans interested in the Superbowl, or even American football for that matter?

Or are you all just as apathetic as Americans are toward the World Cup?

deaf people listen to the radio all the time - 1 they turn up the bass and can feel the vibrations, 2 - they may not be fully deaf and able to hear some stuff.
I had a deaf friend who told me a story (and yes I know sign language) who was listening to the radio and was getting weird looks from eveyrone around him (turns out the radio was on a commercial and with the high bass he thought it was a song :P) so he was jamming out to a radio commercial
got to love deaf humor :P

lol! That`s fantastic! I know a bit of ASL myself, since my cousin is deaf, but I couldn`t follow the whole conversation. That`s the best commercial I`ve seen in awhile.

.....there where subtitles underneath. I dont know ASL and i followed it fine.

that was pretty cool...but to all of you whom want to see/hear a commercial for deaf people...all you need to do is listen to the radio..

how would deaf people listen to the radio?

anyhow, those guys where non-nice individuals! i would get pissed off if that happened to me.

It`s all right, but the second I see subtitles, I read them, thus making the ASL completely useless on the TV screen.
